Our family frequently enjoys Krazy Taco. It's our go to! You can tell they use fresh ingredients with everything! My favorite is the dumpster nachos, but I enjoy any of the tacos, brisket is amazing! The atmosphere is great for a date night for my husband and I, but we also take our son a lot and he enjoys going too. The owner and staff are kind, check to see everything is great and always welcoming. We prefer Krazy Taco over any of the local Mexican places. TLDR: Great place, highly recommended, get the Memphis nasty nachos if you like spice. Stopped here after a day of paddling at Buck Creek just to see how it was. It's definitely in a questionable place for a restaurant... not that it felt unsafe at all, just very residential. Food: Nice selections of tacos to try out but the Memphis nasty nachos are the thing to get in my book. It's an appetizer that could easily be two entrees. (If you can't handle spicy, you should stay away from this one though). Price: About average for tacos, nachos were a steal, drinks (non-alcoholic) were a tad high. Service: You go up to the bar to order, they bring it out to your table, it works. It's nothing fancy for sure but the staff was very friendly. The food and service were amazing. Our waiter was quick to offer selection off the menu. All recommendations were on point. From the jalapeño margarita which by the way was the best I've ever had. I'd recommend the Texas Twinkie. It was a jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped with bacon and a bbq glaze. Was so good. If I lived closer I'd make this a place to visit more often. I'm hoping that this was a day one issue. Service - It started with calling and being place on hold, then they hung up on me. Next, the order was not placed correctly. They missed 3 tacos. Food - The chicken taco was pork, and I haven't had pork in 6 years. The beef was extremely greasy and I was told it was not tasty. It was very bland. The OMG was nothing like the original. The wild Lucy wasn't the same either. Plus all of the tacos were on flour tortillas. The It extremely sad that opening day was a flop for my order. I hope it was just my order. First and foremost, the best thing about this place was the customer service. Our cashier was top knotch, extremely helpful, and kind. The ambiance and environment were great. Love the decor and vibes inside. However, that's where the praise ends for us after our experience here. Obviously the most important thing about a restaurant when you go is the food. After spending $40 for two people and seeing the great reviews, we thought for sure we were in for a magical experience. Our taste buds were sadly let down. The tacos tasted like the imposter ones your parents make for you from the grocery store. I want to go somewhere to eat something I can't make at home or would be too complicated to make at home. Very bland with limited seasoning. Ingredients felt too basic. The chips are for sure Tostitos and the queso tasted like Tostitos queso blanco with some veggies and meat thrown in. If you take the lobster and beef cubes out of the tacos themselves, it was better. Those two meat options were solid on their own. Overall, so let down. Won't be returning unfortunately. Don't delay. Figure out when you can stop here for tacos. They are closed on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday - so that should make scheduling easy - since they are open Wednesday - Saturday from 11am until 10pm. Go. The most difficult decision you will have to make is which 2-3 tacos you want for lunch or dinner. I was hungry, chose 2 and could barely finish them but man - they were good. My tacos: 1) traditional (ground beef, tomato, cheese, lettuce) 2) wild lucy - chicken (chicken, cilantro, onion, sriracha, and creamy adobo sauce) I also highly recommend getting the "chips and daily salsa" as an add-on and next time I may also try a queso or refried beans. Divine. I studied the menu online before my first visit. What really sold me (other than adoring tacos) was the hundreds of Yelp reviews and the photos of the tacos. In addition to standard offerings, there are also special tacos which are not online. In the restaurant, the board with all offerings are all well-labeled / described. The board with the options is on the wall adjacent to the "order / pay here" (end of the bar). There is likely going to be a line to order which gives you time to make your choice. There is really no bad decision here - other than delaying. Did I already mention that? Parking is street parking but I overheard mention of some nearby lots. This is essentially in a neighborhood, which is charming (lucky, lucky people who live within walking distance of this gem). The restaurant is small but very efficiently laid out and there was plenty of seating inside and outside mid-week. I'm sure they have one heck of a lunch rush and for that matter, weekend rush but it's completely worth it. Trust me. The pricing is very reasonable. $2.95 for regular menu tacos; $3.95 for special tacos. There are a variety of other items on the menu - most are under $10, including various nachos and rice platters. A really extensive selection of draft beer options. I'm already plotting my next visit. I have a fantasy of just sitting in the seat at the bar next to the order line so I can order 1 taco at a time and have my own festival. read more

I've been to this place twice now, and I enjoyed it both times. Guerra's is in a house in a residential neighborhood, and it's on-street parking only. Their taco creations are interesting and yummy, and the staff have always been very nice. They have a small outside dining area in the back and a couple of tables out front, but because they have limited hours the place is usually packed with people. Regarding their hours, they usually open in the afternoon and stay open until maybe 9:00 pm. However, be advised that they change their business hours at random on occasion, which can be annoying. Anyway, the food is great, the bar is cool, and the fact that they are not always open just makes me want it more! read more

Guerras is my spot. I live 200 miles away but have family in Springfield, so when I'm local I get some Krazy Tacos!!! My last visit I had the brisket, pork belly, and El Toro Rojo; they were awesome!! Really loved the flavor of the brisket and the spicy goodness of the Toro Rojo. There on-tap beer selection is top notch, theyre always rotating new and delicious beer from around the country. Felix and the crew make some of the best tacos I can find and make sure every visit is an enjoyable time for customers. This is a welcome addition to an area that isn't known for the best food options. They have a very diverse menu with lots of different and unique tacos! When you go in, you order at the bar and then find a seat, which isn't always easy, but be patient, something will open up and it is worth it. I got the Teriyaki Chicken taco (with grilled pineapple-yum!) and the carnitas taco. I also got chips and salsa, which I believe the salsa changes to whatever their salsa for the day is. My friend got the lobster taco and said it was amazing! The tostada was delicious as well. Previously, I have had the Wild Lucy which was spicy, but well balanced. You can buy a can/bottle drink, have tea or lemonade, or enjoy one of the many beers on tap. They also have a full bar. Know that you cannot make changes to the premium tacos. (Changed after a reply from the owners, I am happy to hear they allow changes on 75% of their tacos, although when my son asked for just beef, cilantro and onion, they told him no...‍) They do have some simple ones for the kids/picky eaters...although mine don't ever go for those! Several of us eat plant-based and the owner and his staff created tacos and nachos just for us that were SO good! Excellent beer and margaritas too. I loved Guerra's! Springfield is almost a 2hr drive from me but I've made the drive specifically for these tacos MANY times and have introduced many of my friends/family to Guerra's over the years. However, I brought a new friend in with me about a week ago and that will be my last visit in. We came in with a big order as I usually do, ready to pay and wait as long as we needed to. Unfortunately while ordering, we were told, "Really? You don't need that many. 3 is enough". Completely embarrassed my friend and I. Anxiously, we ordered 3 tacos a piece as she thought that was all we needed. Thinking back on it, we should've just left and took our business elsewhere. When I first visited after it was taken over by new owners, the decor caught my attention right away. While it was tasteful, it tragically took away the unique essence of Guerros Krazy Taco. The walls that once held the place's amazing atmosphere have been stripped of all of the Krazy decor, leaving only one wall mural and mostly bare, freshly painted walls. The menu which once was a colorful display is now on a white piece of paper, the lighting is brighter not warm and fun and the music is more hip hop. Maybe they are wanting to attract a younger clientel. Since the Memphis Nasty Nachos had always been a favorite of mine, we chose to try the Pork Dumpster Nachos after browsing the menu. I was hoping for the same flavors and quality as the prior iteration, but I must admit that I was let down. First, the nachos were cold, but I noticed that there were several ingredients missing from the original nachos such as the kreeper cheese, the hot barbecue sauce, the candied jalapeños, and candied onions and not to mention the large amounts of slow smoked pork. These ingredients are what made the Memphis Nasty Nachos so unique and memorable. While the dumpster nachos were okay they are definitely not memorable or unique. Additionally, there was minimal amount of pork on the nachos and for the 11.95 price I think they could have done better. read more

The food was great and they had one of my favorite beers,shiner bock, on draft!!! The nachos were great and they have a large list of tacos to choose from. There is something for everyone. They probably had about 5 beers on draft and the had liquor as well. Staff was very friendly and wearing masks. They have a patio out front but it's so close to the street that the traffic noise was very loud. We ended up moving inside, but that just puts me closer to the bar so I wasn't mad. read more

I love tacos and this Guerra's does it right! Very colorful establishment too! I got the Felixs favorite and the OMG - both were a nice size taco with a lot of flavor! Everyone in line told me they haven't tried any they didn't like... there was also a constant line from 1200-130... but the line went quick and I got my food within 10 min of ordering.
