Excellent food and service! I told the worker it was my first time here and he walked me through lots of options and seemed to really enjoy his job and had a real knack for customer service. Food was hot and fresh. Environment was clean, not too busy, good music playing. I'll definitely come back! read more

Very poor service. The employee with the huge gauges is RUDE for no apparent reason? Just blank stares when you ask a question. And snapped at me when my order incorrect. Food was not great either. My steak tacos were so dry from the steak being overcooked. The salsa was the saving grace. Won't be back which is a shame because on a nice day the open/screened bays is very pleasant. read more

Some of the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Overpriced and bland so many better and real Mexican food spots. Chips and queso was okay tho.

Rusty Taco was a cool place to grab some dinner. My son and I decided to give it a shot. Queso was really good and their chips had a good flavor and were light to eat. At Rusty Taco you order at the counter and then they call you when done. They had several taco options and a good variety. We decided their stuff was good but nothing amazing. We enjoyed it. Stuff tasted good but we won't necessarily beat the doors down to drag people there. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I ordered thru their app and the food was ready to go when I arrived. I had their Texican Tacos. The food was very underwhelming. I think I set my expectations too high. Perhaps I need to try something else from their menu. read more

This was the absolute worst taco experience I have ever had. The flower and corn tortillas were served to me old. The meat was hella over cooked. Don't get me started on the seasoning. Wait I can't because there was none. If you are thinking about giving this trash pit a chance don't. -10/10. read more

Everything was okay until one of my chicken tacos was half chicken, half fish. Normally, I wouldn't care but asked for it to be remade since I did ask for chicken. Took 45 minutes for our tacos to come out originally, but figured since they messed it up they would have it out quick. 30 minutes goes by and I have to ask for a refund because it still wasn't remade. On top of that the girl working the counter, nor the "manager" offered an apology. Poorly run, subpar food, & safe to say we won't be won't be coming back. Ridiculous experience. read more

My last visit to this place was disappointing from beginning to end. The customer service rep acted as if he didn't want to be there--unmotivated, unfriendly, and with a noticeably poor attitude. The food was overcooked, overly salted, and the margaritas were watered down. This used to be my go‑to spot, but over the past few visits I've seen a clear decline in both food quality and service, all while prices continue to rise. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this place and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

amazing food, service, ambience and speed! I love coming here, they have some of the best tacos and queso's in the area!

The food here is pricey but it's decent quality. Five tacos, two churros, and a queso side were $36. I guess I'm too used to California priced tacos. When I see a taco priced at $4, I hurt a little bit inside. Standouts in the menu were the shrimp taco. The brisket had too many chunks of fat for me. The churros had a nice flavor but $4 per churro is a bit steep. Service was smooth and efficient. All the workers were friendly and polite. The inside of the restaurant was colorful and clean. On a nice day they probably open up the area and give it a nice indoor outdoor feel. I would recommend giving this place a try. read more

I ordered Rusty Tacos through DoorDash, so my food didn't arrive hot. However, it didn't take away how good I thought the tacos were. I really enjoyed the baja shrimp and fish tacos. The brisket tacos were good as well. The shells for the birria tacos were slightly burned, but I was too hungry to care, lol. The queso and chips was something I couldn't stop eating, they tasted good! The taco sizes are slightly bigger than the street tacos I've eaten before. Having 2 tacos with the chips and queso was enough to get me full. Definitely looking forward to trying more of their seafood tacos next time I try Rusty Tacos! read more

We love coming and sitting on the patio enjoying chips and dip with a tasty beverage! The staff is always wonderful and friendly

I really don't remember the types of tacos we ordered but to be honest it doesn't matter, they were not that good. For $3 a taco and $8 for nachos we should have had something special on our tray. Our tacos were about room temperature and what vegetables on the tacos we had were dry and barely eatable. One thing I kept noticing while I ate was one of the cashiers would turn around and put her right hand under running water and then dry them....no soap was used and only the right hand...things that make you go hmmmm? I spent $32 for our order would have been better spent at Taco Bell. I will not return. read more

So my wife and I decided to try Rusty's Tacos at the Fairfield commens and the place was disgustingly dirty! The bathrooms believe it or not were cleaner than the drink/salsa bar. Every table we looked for to sit down still had food on them from other people eating. The tacos and sides were marginal at best. You would have thought that the stuff that went into the tacos was coming out of their pockets because they were so stingy with the contents. So the other gross thing that I noticed is that when you went to the salsa bar the plastic cups that you put the salsa in were so small that when you used the ladle to put the salsa in the cup, ran all over your fingers and back into the salsa container. The order person behind the counter was very nice and pleasant to interact with that's why I'm giving two stars and not one. read more

Great tacos great atmosphere and great nachos great selection of Jarritos would recommend to others

The food was made to order and tasty. Service was fast and according. The dining area was clean and I loved the open doors for fresh air. Gave it a relaxing vibe while you dined in. I would definitely come back and try more items. I tried on this visit the Philly taco, grilled chicken taco and pork taco. All were very good. read more

The one by Dayton Mall closed and I was gunned because I usually go for a taco that's cheap and way better than TB. I popped in here while out to see if the same as other location. Much busier so can see why they continue to be open. There other location was like a ghost town and service was iffy. Here I was greeted right away and saw five tables filled and a family in line. Grill was busy with orders and staff was quick to announce orders by name. The other location held food but you had to wait to receive.Same service for salsa in fridge by beverage station. Super low tonight as I got last rojo. I could have asked for more but I was good. Here's the thing $4 for their taco versus is TB wins in my book. My taco had too much sauce but was ok otherwise. 180 calories is ok for me and at least it wasn't reconstituted beans which is all I ever eat at TB and hate myself for later. read more

I love Rusty Taco! I kept telling my husband that this is where I wanted to come back as soon as outside was open again. What a disappointment from you guys, everyone touches the menu, they are wearing mask under their mouth??? Why bother.... touching your straws and limes and not cleaning tables after people leave. Four employees in the small bar without protection. I'm super disappointed because I love this place. Please take care of your employees and us! Two visits to Rusty Taco have cemented it's place in our rotation. The food is delicious with interesting and appealing combinations if flavors. I was mistaken when I didn't think I'd be able to find good tacos in the area. Rusty Taco has a lot of flavor, and sure, the occasional misfire, when it comes to its street style tacos that are a bit smaller than more americanized tacos. Their margarita machine was so-so, but fortunately you're not asking for much. It was frozen, there was tequila in it, and it had a fruit flavor, so no real complaints. I cleared through about six tacos because, well, I have no self respect. My go-to's are the shrimp taco, the fish taco, and the fried chicken taco. The Baja sauce with the shrimp taco paired really well with the cilantro. Same thing for the fish with its chipotle style sauce. I was worried the fried chicken might be a little dry, but the ranch flavored sauce gave it a bit of kick and moisture that took the chicken from a B- to an A-. Sure, we'd all rather be in California eating tacos on the beach, but for those that don't have that option, Rusty at least covers the food part. And there's an outdoor seating area that can let you get your dose of rays. So, same same right! read more

Tuesday night is evidently the managers night off, we came in for dinner and after cleaning off our sitting area we got beverages and chips. Looking around at the dirty surfaces we decided to finish up and go elsewhere. Great place! It's better if you dine in vs. takeout. I've been here a few times, and almost every time I've ordered the fried fish tacos. They remind me of the fish tacos from Rubios's Fish Tacos back home. These tacos don't hold up well when out well when you get them as takeout. By the time you eat them, the fish are no longer crispy and the sauce has hardened up. I've tried their fried shrimp tacos, it wasn't too good. The shrimp wasn't the big shrimps you'd imagine but kind of like a cocktail shrimp. Both types of their pork tacos (Roasted pork and Rusty) weren't good. I wouldn't order them again. The chips and guac weren't too bad, I find they put a little bit too much onions in it. read more

TLDR: Meh... below average taco place. Won't be back. Food: Came in with a friend and tried four different tacos. Filling was a little skimpy in all of them. The taste was just ok, nothing special at all. Cost: Pricey for the amount of food you get. I'd plan on at least three tacos to be a meal. Service: Ok I guess? You order at the register and they call your name to pick up tacos so not much involved there. read more

I've said in a few reviews that one of the hallmarks of a good restaurant is doing one thing and doing it well. Rusty Taco epitomizes that. They do one thing - tacos, and they do them well. Hubby and I took a friend to Rusty Taco tonight for her birthday. (Tacos are like her favorite thing in the world.) We each got 3 or 4 different tacos. With tacos priced $2-3 each, it was about $15 per person with a drink Of course you can add on avocado or bacon to make it more expensive, but its typically not needed. We ordered and our food was ready shortly. It arrived on two big trays, not really divided by person at all. We asked an employee to help us tell what tacos were which. Favorites of the table included the fried chicken taco, the rusty taco, the grilled shrimp taco and the bbq brisket taco. We also tried the sopapillas for dessert. All in all, I'd definitely go back. I'd like to try a breakfast taco, the fish taco, and the churro. read more

Great food at great price in a fun atmosphere- My kids love the outdoor games in the summertime!

Rusty Taco is awesome, something for everyone in the menu, and you can order to-go margaritas! What's not to like?

Tacos were okay, a bit too Americanized for my taste. I enjoyed my special margarita, it tasted like ice cream!

Great birria tacos. AMAZING caramel churros! Casual atmosphere. Fast service. Pretty good margaritas.
