If I could leave negative stars I would. Rusty taco should be called Crappy Taco. The salsa was like tomato soup, not good tomato soup either. Imagine thin , watery and no flavor. The chips were flavorless and lacked any sort of crispy crunch. Next up we're the "breakfast" tacos. The eggs tasted like they were made from styrofoam and seasoned with toe jam. The black beans were edible but only by comparison to the gross eggs. My wife had the chicken tacos, which tasted like it was probably gizzards and giblets marinated in the watered down tomato soup salsa I already told you about. I wanted to try something different today, and I wanted to try something more street-taco styled than say Taco Bell. I saw the pictures, and read the reviews, so I figured this was the spot to go to for my taco fix. I ordered 4 tacos, churros, and some street corn. Total price: $32. The price seemed a bit steep for 4 tacos and such, but I thought I was getting some nice sized tacos, huge street corns, and thick and long churros. Imagine my surprise when the driver showed up and hands me a bag the size of a paper lunch bag you'd give your kids for school. "Ummm, is this all of it?" "Yes, thank you, have a nice day." I open the bag up.. first thing I saw was that the street corn was cut off the cob and put in cups, and not on a cob as I had hoped, but they must've used small corn on the cobs because it fit in a cup the size you'd get a large guacamole from Chipotle in. Although it was tasty, it wasn't the experience of street corn I've had before. I don't know if that's how they always do their street corn, or if they did it that way for delivery, in which case they COULD have wrapped whole corn on the cobs in foil to keep everything intact. Next I noticed a half-dozen churros, which cost me $12, broke in halves, wrapped in tin foil, about the size of a dollar. I prefer my churros to be nice and long like they should be, but at this moment I looked at the brighter side of things and pretended I got 12 mini-churros instead. They tasted like they were manufactured, frozen, and then reheated. Now comes the best part. The tacos I was craving. $14 for 4 tacos. That's about $3.50 a piece. I got the brisket, fried chicken, BBQ brisket, and the Rusty Taco, the conclusive of their taco line up. The brisket ones were not tender, and the fried chicken one was basically a chicken tender that had been microwaved a little too long due to it's toughness. The Rusty Taco was so underwhelming I don't even remember what it tasted like. I know for sure it didn't make me crave them, and that's suppose to be their pride and joy taco. However, all 4 tacos were the about the size of a mini quesadilla from Taco Bell. Each one was folded flat, and you could place 2 tacos on a Hershey's bar, and the Hershey's bar would still be longer and thicker. I thought this was some kind of joke or something. For $3.50 I shouldn't get a taco I can do magic tricks with and hide in one hand. Lesson learned and I know I'll never get Rusty Taco again. I should have got the party pack from Taco Bell and it would have cost half the price and triple the amount of tacos. TL;DR : If you like sub-par mini-tacos then you'll love this place. read more

The tacos here are fairly prices and the food comes extremely fast. Spent about $15 on 5 tacos which I think is a good price. Drinks are also fairly cheap, strawberry margaritas for $5 and if you come during their loco hour (3-6 pm) it's a $1 off. This is a really good taco restaurant especially for the area, great food, fast service although the person taking our order got a little personal per say though the inside and the whole joint was overall nice. Its a very colorful and fun inside and set up similar to a fast food restaurant although the food is the opposite of fast food quality. We got chips and guac which the chips were free refill so that was nice. I ordered the fried chicken tacos and they were really good, nice fresh ingredients and served at the perfect temperature. They have a really nice outdoor area with big jenga and connect four and the place is definitely family friendly. This is a great place to go if you need quick quality food. read more

Went here at about 2 pm on Saturday. It wasn't crowded at all and we were able to place our order without waiting in line. I got the grilled cauliflower taco, the black bean taco, and chips with queso. The chips and queso were served immediately and I enjoyed being able to munch on them while waiting for the tacos. The service was fairly quick, but it took longer for our food to come out than I expected, especially since there were not many people there. I liked the grilled cauliflower, it was a little spicy but still good! The black bean taco was good, but had too many black beans for my liking. The chips and queso were amazing. Guacamole is ok, but tasted as if made earlier in day. Ordered the local favorite taco which was supposed to have pork in tomatillo sauce, jalapeño ranch, cilantro and avocado. No tomatillo sauce detected, asked for and received a side of the sauce and was told it is cooked in it. Would have been imperceptible. No flavor of jalapeño in the ranch. Chips had zero salt...why? Small half slice of mushy avocado, and 3 bits of cilantro. Great idea, made with no love. The pork tasted woody, more like Texas bbq than Mexican flavors. Just disappointing and lackluster. We saw Rusty Taco in driving by and dropped in. My wife and I spent almost $50. my son and his wife spent about $30. We ordered tacos and got them fast , Probably because they are so small.not only were they super small but then to add insult to injury they only had a skimpy spoonful of meat and toppings They were also cold ,and lacking severely in flavor. And The chips were stale . The only thing good at our table was the queso cheese, but how do you mess that up? I'm sure they will figure it out! We were warmly greeted at the entrance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was impressed at how clean the restaurant was kept. I ordered the #6 Rajas taco (veg), #5 Brisket taco, and #9 Rusty taco. Although I wish the Rajas tacos had a bit more filling in it, I really enjoyed the flavors of all three tacos. Mom and I ate here tonight, we both had the #13 Texican taco. We got no tomato and added sides of sour cream. This taco was like a classic taco and was super good. Probably our #1 fav so far. I had the #8 grilled shrimp and the potato egg and cheese taco. The shrimp had a little kick to it but it wasnt bad and I could handle to heat. I used my moms side of chipotle ranch on it and also put sour cream. This taco was amazingly good even for a little spicy. (Which I don't normally do hot stuff, the most I've done was buffalo chicken dip). My mom had the steak egg and cheese taco and the #10 fried chicken taco. This came with the chipotle ranch that I used, she got it on the side. She added sour cream, and it tasted okay it was a little dry. The steak egg and cheese, was good to her. She said the fajitas had some spice and she took them off so the spice was still there from them but she didn't eat them. This was probably her fav taco from our 6. When I walked in and looking at the menu the lady at the register informed me that all they have is soft shell. I was very shocked because I would have had for the option of hard and soft. Generally OK for dine in but curbside NEVER goes right. OVERPRICED! I used to eat in the restaurant a fair amount when it opened. When they made errors with the order (frequently) you could just go to the counter to resolve the issue. Since Covid we have tried the curbside several times with very poor results. The tacos are always underfilled and anything with ground beef is *super* greasy. It soaks right through the flour tortillas and looks like dog food. The topping ingredients are often missing or underserved. The order is never correct. They forget any add-ons like sour cream. Often things which are supposed to be there like lime wedges or even the queso are left out. I think this Summer we tried five orders and four were wrong. They have also have halved their servings of queso and salsa (which is just liquid tomato apparently). For two of us to eat it costs almost $35 without drinks and the last two times I threw away half of my food because it looked worse than dog food. Never again. read more

Im a very strict vegetarian and had always gotten their black bean taco, so I ordered a couple at this Rusty Taco and they had bacon on them near the bottom where I couldn't see it. I realized after one bite and had to spit it out. Very disappointed and won't be coming back- what's the point in marking your tacos vegetarian on the menu but putting meat in them? It seemed that the rusty taco is the new hit spot in town. There are always tons of cars parked outside. Came here on a friendly date and was honestly very surprised. I wasn't sure if it was going to be like a restaurant or a grab and go type of place. It's a combination of both. They have seating there for you to sit and eat but you can also take it to go. You have to order at the window and pick it up at the window. Price wise it's not bad. All the tacos at $2.25 and they have a good variety. We ended up getting 3 shrimp tacos, 2 chicken tacos with avocado( avocado is extra ) chips with cheese and a frozen margarita. The chips are bottomless so you can get as many as you want once you order them. I wasn't so impressed with the cheese sauce. Tasted like valveeta. But the chips were good. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was soooo bad. Only ordered 2 tacos each and chips and salsa. They managed to get both of our orders wrong, never brought the chips and salsa so we had to go up to counter and request them. Once we sat down the salsa was AWFUL. Zero taste (almost like no seasonings had been added.) On top of that, when we attempted to get iced tea from their dispenser only water came out. So I tried to get a Coke Zero but that dispenser didn't work either! When I reported this to an employee she just said, "the ice tea is working but the Coke Zero needs the nozzle switched, cause we lost one nozzle." What!!!??? Our meeting was 9 minutes from the location and we arrived at 12:10 and our meeting was at 1. We both ordered 2 tacos. We waited 30 minutes for them. We got up to leave for our meetIng and requested that our food be put in to go bags if it was anywhere near ready. We got the tacos, with no apology, and left.
