Wanted to love these, but too many times they missed the mark. Originally I would get the Cuban and it was great. But they discontinued it and I'm sad. No other one I've tried has excited me. I've been to this Firehouse Subs restaurant a few times. Like most Firehouse Subs, the restaurant is adorned with various fire fighter gear. It has a neat atmosphere. Firehouse Subs had a two for $16 special going in the day I went. For $16 you could get two medium subs, two chips, and two fountain drinks. I got an Italian sub, a meatball sub, Lay's Regular Oven Baked potato chips, Ruffle's Oven Baked Cheddar and Sour Cream potato chips, and two drinks. I ordered via their website so my order was almost ready when I arrived. I also ordered a side cup of chili with onions and cheddar cheese. Everything was packed carefully in a big paper bag. I poured my own fountain drinks. Firehouse subs had Coca-Cola's Freestyle fountain drink dispenser which has a variety of drink customization options. The Italian sandwich was good and flavorful. Meats seemed fresh and bread was tasty. I ate the Meatball sub the next day and it was equally good. The cup of chili came with oyster crackers and the added cheddar cheese and onions came in a separate container. Also included was a spoon. I like this particular Firehouse Subs because they usually get your order right. I've been to a closer Firehouse Subs and they usually forget something. Firehouse subs also gives you a pickle wedge with your sandwich and they got that right as well. Overall, this Firehouse Subs is a great experience. Orders are prepared accurately and quickly and they seem to pride themselves. I would recommend and would go again. Also, Firehouse Subs has a very good rewards program so I would sign up for that if you haven't already. You get alerted of new deals and even new sandwiches, some which are only there for a short time. I highly recommend. read more

I visited this Firehouse Subs for the first time on 2/12 around 8:40 PM and was shocked by the hostile environment. I stood at the register for over five minutes while the manager, Madison, completely ignored me to prioritize a delivery driver without even a greeting. ​When I politely asked for assistance, Madison responded with an aggressive attitude. While I was having a calm conversation with an associate, Joseph, Madison suddenly began shouting, "I just can't! I just can't!" and stormed away from the counter, abandoning the transaction entirely. ​While the associates Joseph and Zack were professional and apologized for her behavior, a manager's "long day" is no excuse for shouting at a first-time customer. I felt targeted and unwelcome. I strongly urge ownership to review the security footage from 8:40 PM-9:00 PM. I am seeking a formal apology and hope to see corrective training implemented immediately. read more

Charged for meat despite the order not including meat which was fine until I exit the store open the sandwich to almost nothing in it (literally I could count the strands of total lettuce). Guy manning the desk was extremely incompetent and had to keep asking what we wanted and still messed up the order. Ended up paying 25 some dollars for 1.5 subs with the .5 being the other two supposed medium sandwiches which were small and still both costed as much as the large. Overall, terrible service, cost, and product. I do not recommend visiting this location and as the is was my first Firehouse Subs visit I can not recommend any other of their locations if this is what they offer. I am upset and I would say this was a waste of time and money. Please save yourself the trouble and visit another competing sub brand or local sandwich shop. This was our first visit and will definitely not be our last! You must know, I'm VERY PICKY about sub places! We set off to try something new and it paid off! The food did not come out fast but was 100% worth the wait! My sandwich was SO delicious and so big that I kept getting it all over my face! Lots of napkins needed! I would order it again and again. Let me start out with I remember when the Firehouse Subs opened down off Fields Ertel and I see it may be closed permanently or relocated elsewhere now? I loved going there for the brisket sandwich. The sandwiches made back then were way bigger and had way more meat on them. This past June, we stopped by one in Georgia for lunch on our way back from vacation and due to COVID, they had no indoor seating so sat thru the takeout and by the time we found a park with picnic tables we found that our order was completely wrong? No brisket, no club like we ordered but we had two small Turkey sandwiches with just break and Turkey? So that brings me to today. If you create a membership, they put a coupon for a free medium sub for your birthday. We stopped in and ordered at the store in Kettering and luckily, they got our order right! Yay! The people that were working here tonight were super nice to us so that's great. Place was clean. Problem is for me that the sandwiches are just so small anymore. The bread has changed, the amount of meat has shrunk to kids sized portions to me. My wife looked at the 1st half and stated, 'well, I'm glad you didn't pay $8 for that because you'd been annoyed!?' Which was very true but it did taste good. So we have that. I know that the folks who own the store i Kettering probably don't have anything to do with the Cincinnati or Valdosta but it seems like this smaller sandwiches may be a corporate thing... Real mixed experience here today. I recognize that things are a little different with the COVID situation but it feels like most businesses are going the extra mile to attract and keep the customers that they have. Folks working here were super nice and patient with taking our order but they did not get it right. Yes, we got the basic order correct but the condiments that were supposed to be left off the sandwich were not left off. Somethings are easy to remove but other things still leave that taste behind. A little more attention to detail would have convinced us we needed to come back to this location. We like this chain in general but today the sandwiches were bland and the potato soup unremarkable. Disappointed. Went on a very very slow day. Ordered the meatball sub. When it was boxed and given to me it looked gross like the lady put sauce all over the container. I ordered a medium steak and cheese and it had 'two specks' of cheese. Nothing like what I've received in the past. Plus it was cold. Also the price on the board said the sub was $6.99 and I was charged $7.49 for a to go order. I didn't add anything to it that I don't normally order. EXTREMELY disappointed in this store as I have never had this experience at any other Firehouse I've been too. The service is always amazing. They are prompt and patient with you no matter how many questions you have. Every sub is made to order and can be loaded with toppings. They put more than double the meat on their subs compared to the other places, making them worth every bite. Their variety is great and every sub explodes with flavor. As a huge bonus, they fundraise for the local fire departments, purchasing much needed life saving equipment they couldn't normally buy. read more

I used to frequent this place when my work was closer, almost weekly. I went there today after a change in employment brought me back to the area. Let me say it is still as fantastic as before, if not better! I used a promotion for my birthday and got a free sub, and everyone wished me a happy birthday! What a great sub shop! I had the steak and cheese sub and it was terrific! Didn't leave me with the heavy bloated feeling I get from Penn Station. The 12 inch sub was enough to satisfy! Well, I can't say I hated it but I can't say we loved it. I had a steak sub with mushrooms and my husband had the brisket. My sandwich was bland and soggy, and for 2 subs 2 sodas and chips it was $27! If they had been fill of meat, ok... But I felt like there was way too much veggies! The service was decent, but not overly friendly and I just feel like I could have had the same thing at Subway for half the price ms friendlier service.
