Italian sub and Ruffle's Cheddar and Sour Cream Chips (plated)
Colin T.

I've been to this Firehouse Subs restaurant a few times. Like most Firehouse Subs, the restaurant is adorned with various fire fighter gear. It has a neat atmosphere. Firehouse Subs had a two for $16 special going in the day I went. For $16 you could get two medium subs, two chips, and two fountain drinks. I got an Italian sub, a meatball sub, Lay's Regular Oven Baked potato chips, Ruffle's Oven Baked Cheddar and Sour Cream potato chips, and two drinks. I ordered via their website so my order was almost ready when I arrived. I also ordered a side cup of chili with onions and cheddar cheese. Everything was packed carefully in a big paper bag. I poured my own fountain drinks. Firehouse subs had Coca-Cola's Freestyle fountain drink dispenser which has a variety of drink customization options. The Italian sandwich was good and flavorful. Meats seemed fresh and bread was tasty. I ate the Meatball sub the next day and it was equally good. The cup of chili came with oyster crackers and the added cheddar cheese and onions came in a separate container. Also included was a spoon. I like this particular Firehouse Subs because they usually get your order right. I've been to a closer Firehouse Subs and they usually forget something. Firehouse subs also gives you a pickle wedge with your sandwich and they got that right as well. Overall, this Firehouse Subs is a great experience. Orders are prepared accurately and quickly and they seem to pride themselves. I would recommend and would go again. Also, Firehouse Subs has a very good rewards program so I would sign up for that if you haven't already. You get alerted of new deals and even new sandwiches, some which are only there for a short time. I highly recommend.

Try the new fries and use the coupons on the AP!

They are seriously the best at this store - they are friendly and put up with my crazy order - great subs and super friendly team who works fast! ;)

One of the best sub places around. Quality ingredients and great menu options. Sign up for their rewards program to earn free food and to get a free sub on your birthday!

Yay checked in with yelp and got free dessert (brownie) ... fan of their sandwiches but tried the potato soup. Yummy. Place was clean and staff did a great job. This is a 100 times better than subway!!!!

This was our first visit and will definitely not be our last! You must know, I'm VERY PICKY about sub places! We set off to try something new and it paid off! The business is small but doesn't feel cramped. The interior is decorated with miscellaneous fire department doodads. We were greeted immediately and explained we needed a few minutes as we had never been. The nice lady behind the counter did not rush us and even showed us the bread for each sandwich size (even though we later saw it was posted right in front of our faces, oops!) He chose the large Italian with Mac and cheese, I decided to go out on a limb and get a medium "Club on a sub" with potato soup. I typically go for a meatball anytime I'm at a new sub place, but what the heck? I checked in on YELP and got an offer for a free dessert so we decided to split a brownie. You can round your total up to donate to fire charity, and as both of us are first responders We were absolutely on board with this! There were three people working but I think one was in training. The food did not come out fast but was 100% worth the wait! My sandwich was SO delicious and so big that I kept getting it all over my face! Lots of napkins needed! I would order it again and again. Probably in the smaller size though. The bread was fresh and The flavor was absolutely perfect and I think the mustard really tied it together. The soup had plenty of chunks of actual potato and a really good flavor! BF ate his whole sub before I could even ask how good it was. But the Mac and cheese? Let me explain, I like the stuff from the blue box. ONLY the stuff from the blue box! But I was intrigued... there was some type of crumbly goodness on it so I asked to try a bite. I am shocked to say... I would actually order this for myself and eat it all! Amazing! We finished with our brownie that was the perfect end to a great meal. I can't wait to come back and try something else!

Let me start out with I remember when the Firehouse Subs opened down off Fields Ertel and I see it may be closed permanently or relocated elsewhere now? I loved going there for the brisket sandwich. The sandwiches made back then were way bigger and had way more meat on them. This past June, we stopped by one in Georgia for lunch on our way back from vacation and due to COVID, they had no indoor seating so sat thru the takeout and by the time we found a park with picnic tables we found that our order was completely wrong? No brisket, no club like we ordered but we had two small Turkey sandwiches with just break and Turkey? So that brings me to today. If you create a membership, they put a coupon for a free medium sub for your birthday. We stopped in and ordered at the store in Kettering and luckily, they got our order right! Yay! The people that were working here tonight were super nice to us so that's great. Place was clean. Problem is for me that the sandwiches are just so small anymore. The bread has changed, the amount of meat has shrunk to kids sized portions to me. My wife looked at the 1st half and stated, 'well, I'm glad you didn't pay $8 for that because you'd been annoyed!?' Which was very true but it did taste good. So we have that. I know that the folks who own the store i Kettering probably don't have anything to do with the Cincinnati or Valdosta but it seems like this smaller sandwiches may be a corporate thing... I digress.

I stopped here for lunch today and ordered a Philly Cheesesteak sub. I was sadly disappointed when I got home and opened the container, I was sadly disappointed. There was barely any meat on the sub and there was even less peppers, onions and mushrooms. The only reason I didn't give 1 star, is because the staff was friendly.

I didn't think it was a hole in the wall. Nice place big menus. I had the meatball sub and it was delicious. I would recommend fire house subs for a great sub or for a party.

Pretty quick service and they improved their app. The app was clunkier in the past. This location also used to be a bit slow.

I don't like the food, but the workers are nice. Sometimes they are not fast when there isn't a lunch or dinner rush.

Its interior is super cute with a diner type atmosphere and a full bar no less!? We walk in and adhere to the signage that states to wait for hostess for seating... so we wait. and wait.. and wait some more where a nice lady comes out of the kitchen and realizes we are standing there. I was borderline becoming impatient and was about to leave. So we get seated. Check out the menu where it all sounds good. I love the premise where they seem to admitting they steal recipes from other stores around the country and recreate them here and that's how they became 'All the Best'. So I ordered half Rueben with pastrami and corned beef, a side of matzo ball soup. The lovely Mrs ordered 1/2 hot brisket sandwich and chicken noodle soup. No clue how long it took from ordering to being at our table but it was a bit of time. The sandwiches are okay. The bread on both sandwiches was way too hard to enjoy the actual sandwiches as a whole. Not a lot of meat. The soups... in a perfect world, your soup would be piping hot. Ours were actually unusually cold? Like they were straight out of the fridge and somebody forgot to microwave them to warm the up? I had never had matzo ball soup so I had to google if it was served cold like gazpacho or vichyssoise. So... for $40 with tip this was a bit egregious for me but hey... we finally tried it.

You order at the counter, find a seat and they bring the food out. You then pay at the check out counter after you eat, which is something different. We ordered the italian sub and chicken parm. They are sold as "half" subs, but still about 9-10" long. The Italian sub was good, but I wasn't a huge fan of the crunchy baguette bread. Next time I would get regular soft sub bread. The Italian dressing was A+ and made the sandwich. I wish it had more dressing. The chicken parm was extra cheesy, and the breaded chicken was good. We noticed that some people's sandwiches came with house chips, but ours didn't and we weren't exactly sure why. They also have a full array of different pasta salads, and a whole case of desserts. Aside from the deli, they sell a variety of pastas, sauces, and just about anything else you'd need to make an authentic Italian dinner.

I've had orders delivered from this establishment twice…read more The first time I ordered the All American burger, well done, without lettuce and tomatoes, an order of onion rings and a cup of chili. The burger was very good. It was cooked as ordered and came on a lightly toasted bun. The burger was separate from the bun and you had to assemble it yourself. It also came with some potato chips. The onion rings were passable but a bit oily. The chili is a full-bodied chili. It is thick and dense. The order came with no condiments for the burger but there was a tangy sauce in a cup for the onion rings. I enjoyed the burger and the chili, but the onion rings were average at best. The second time I ordered was the Philly Cheesesteak with no lettuce and no tomatoes. I also ordered a side of fries. The Philly Cheesesteak was really good and came on a nice bun. The french fries seemed overcooked, was oily, and average at best. The sandwiches at this restaurant are very good. The buns seem top-notch and the sandwiches are flavorful. The fried sides, though, are just average. I would give the sandwiches a 4, the french fries and onion rings a 2. That's why I give Zinks 3 stars. I also would've liked some condiments for the sandwiches and fries. I wish the chili would've had crackers too. I feel the Philly cheesesteak should've included some kind of side. The burger did but the cheesesteak did not. I recommend but I would pass on the fries and onion rings.
