Bull Pen Diner in the back right of the supermarket you get to walk back into yester year. This little dinner has locals and regulars written all over it, because you'd never know it's there otherwise. With a simple and straight forward menu that reminds you of simpler times you can't go wrong and all their meat items are quality because it's Dot's supermarket (who only carry the best meats around). You have to try the 1/2 pound burger for only $7.99. It's amazing, chili is good, hot dog is good, grilled cheese only $2.99 and regular or spicy fries, thank you very much. This is a great little find and truly is a hidden gem. Not even locals who have lived here their whole life know about it. Ooo, they serve breakfast all day too. I love this place it reminds me of the places I grew up going to that no longer exist, great service, simple menu, amazing price. Just wish they had a window or too, but that makes it unique and I love unique. Check out the Bull Pen Diner you'll love it..

Dot's is a good locally owned market. It still has a pretty decent selection of items. The prices are mostly reasonable. Service is better than the other grocery stores usually are. They are usually pleasant to talk to. It doesn't look that good from the outside. It's not a bad area but it's not the prettiest either. The parking lot is kind of treacherous but there's usually plenty of spots. Inside they have about 10 aisles. There's a pretty big produce section. It's one of the best grocery options in the area. In the Belmont neighborhood this is really the only place to get food. They don't have the selection of the chains but they have better service.

Excellent as always at any hour, but I came for brunch today. Their steak and eggs is a classic meal in a classic setting.

I love their Deli and their meat counter. My favorites from the deli is the Sloppy Joe mix, & the gourmet chicken salad !

I've had orders delivered from this establishment twice…read more The first time I ordered the All American burger, well done, without lettuce and tomatoes, an order of onion rings and a cup of chili. The burger was very good. It was cooked as ordered and came on a lightly toasted bun. The burger was separate from the bun and you had to assemble it yourself. It also came with some potato chips. The onion rings were passable but a bit oily. The chili is a full-bodied chili. It is thick and dense. The order came with no condiments for the burger but there was a tangy sauce in a cup for the onion rings. I enjoyed the burger and the chili, but the onion rings were average at best. The second time I ordered was the Philly Cheesesteak with no lettuce and no tomatoes. I also ordered a side of fries. The Philly Cheesesteak was really good and came on a nice bun. The french fries seemed overcooked, was oily, and average at best. The sandwiches at this restaurant are very good. The buns seem top-notch and the sandwiches are flavorful. The fried sides, though, are just average. I would give the sandwiches a 4, the french fries and onion rings a 2. That's why I give Zinks 3 stars. I also would've liked some condiments for the sandwiches and fries. I wish the chili would've had crackers too. I feel the Philly cheesesteak should've included some kind of side. The burger did but the cheesesteak did not. I recommend but I would pass on the fries and onion rings.

They mentioned they had a few more pies coming, but it would be a 12 minute wait. I really wanted to try the kiwi classic but didnt want to wait 12 minutes to snag their last one for the day. Guess I have to come much earlier next time. I ended up trying their flightless concord and it was hot and delicious! Reminded me of chicken pot pie. The creamy gravy along with the meaty chicken and mushrooms were perfectly enveloped in a buttery and rich pie crust.

My personal favorites are the Favorite Mate, Kiwi Classic, and the Flightless Concord. They use fresh and local food to make their fillings, which is packed full of yummy tender meats. The pastry is also flaky and buttery, but not too greasy. I eat there often and can say I've never had a bad pie. Their price point is $5 per pie, which at a glance may seem expensive but when compared to fast food burgers around the same price, you get way more meat, and a better quality meal. They also have a stamp rewards card, and who doesn't love free meat pies? Their chili is also quite excellent, which you can get as an entree or as a side dish. They do also have a pretty yummy cole slaw, and sweet potato fries (which I'm not a fan of sweet potatoes, but friends seem to love). Also, make sure to try their aioli sauce. Its like a mayo with garlic and lemon juice, and tastes omnom on all their pies. They've been in business a year and I will definitely be doing my part to make sure they stick around a lot longer.

So we just walked in, and the host was kind enough to let us sit at the little bar area near the window. I like their ordering system. You have many options --- go up to the cash register and order there, order from the server who comes by your table (or in our case, bar), or use your phone by scanning the QR code. And if you use your phone, each person in your party can do it themselves on their own phone. Regardless, it all gets added to the same order for the same table. Pretty slick. At the end, when it comes time to pay, the app lets you split the check however you want, and you can even see the name of the person that ordered each item. The food was incredible. It's not cheap, and the portions are a little smaller than some might expect at an Italian restaurant. But for us, it was filling enough. I personally had the raviolo, which was delicious. Little did I know that in Italian, "raviolo" is singular while "ravioli" is plural. So I got one giant raviolo on my plate (see picture). I didn't care much for the runny egg yolk on top, but it was as advertised on the menu. All the other food orders were amazing, especially the desserts. I'd definitely come back once my food budget resets.
