We recently visited TJ Chumps with a group of about 40 while visiting Huber Heights. The service was great!!! Our server, Hannah, was so friendly, and very efficient. She handled our big group with ease and got lots of compliments from everyone. I ordered a Garden Salad with grilled chicken, my hubby a flatbread. Both dishes were meh. Myself and 3 friends were staying at the Tru by hilton in Huber Heights, going to a concert next door at the Rose. Well TJ Chumps is right there also. We did not want to venture too far away so decided to check out TJ Chumps as we saw there was a pretty wide variety of options on the menu! Hd never been to a TJ Chumps b4. We went over and was seated promptly by the waitress (I do not remember the waitresses name, so mad at myself), who was PHENOMINAL!!! She was so efficient! And don't think I have ever had food come out so quickly, fast and piping hot! The prices are beyond reasonable, the drinks were priced great as well! We arrived at about 5:45 and initially ordered waters and then decided to order a beer when we noticed that it was happy hour from 4-6. We ordered our food and it came out very promptly. The food was ok--not bad, not great. When the check arrived I noticed that we were charged full price for the beer. When I asked the server about it, he said he had to check. When he came back, he said they wouldn't honor happy hour prices because there was a concert at Rose tonight. Nothing was indicated on the menu. In addition, the server never once refilled my husband's water. The food is the normal run of the mill pub/ restaurant food. Nothing to write home about. Service is pretty good. Got our refills replenished in a timely manner. Ambiance is good in the bar part. Not so much in the restaurant. It's kinda of dark. I recommend eating outdoors if it's nice. read more

Pretty decent place here! Fried cheese curds were awesome, the chipotle ranch sauce was very creamy. The nachos and buffalo dip were OK the dip was kind of creamy and didn't have much chicken. The salsa and chips or terrible salsa tasted like it was poured out of a tomato sauce can. The pizza was actually pretty decent, the pizza kind of reminded me of Pizza Hut or Chuck E. Cheese's deep dish. The atmosphere was pretty cool, about half full and pretty average in noise level. The TVs were on which sports news and anything else you could think of. Went here for a late dinner on a Friday night around 9pm. The place wasn't busy at all. Our server Jacob was AWESOME! Very personable and friendly to deal with. Very attentive and easy going. I had the Cuban cowboy burger (didn't think to take a picture until I was half done) and it was fresh and lovely. I didn't eat the bread to cut carbs and it was still very flavorful. Would buy again! My better half got the pulled sirloin sandwich and it was also hot fresh and sooooo good. We will definitely be back to try other dishes. read more

Finally got to a show early enough to eat beforehand, YAY! Decided to stop here since it was the only place around besides fast food. The place was packed to the gills of course. We split a couple of appetizers. Smoked Salmon Bruschetta, Fiesta Nachos, Chicken Wings, Cowboy Cuban Burger with Onion Rings and some sort of rolls with cheese and jalapeños. The ribs were falling off the bone as advertised. The BBQ sauce was sweet, and not bitter. The ribs were cooked well, a few pieces were dry but I did not complain. We were there in a Wednesday evening, my four daughters, my wife, and a guest. They were able to get us in, they had a nice environment, and they had a good menu. I didn't know what to think of a place named Trump, which in my lexicon means a victim of fraud, but it was at least as good as a B dubs. They had some decent steaks, they had some decent beer, they were kid friendly, and yet they were socially distanced and mask wearing. I would go there again. It is not a bad place to have a dinner. Stayed in a local hotel on my way through. And chumps was recommended for the good food. Since it was right next-door I gave it a try and boy I was not disappointed. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcomed me right in. I saw that the bar since I was traveling alone and had multiple people serving on me throughout the evening. They had good recommendations on food which I ended up selecting blackened tilapia on a bed of rice with bourbon barbecue sauce. It was absolutely fabulous and very tasty. I would probably get it again on my next visit. This is a sports bar atmosphere and had lots of TVs planned but also a good place for families. I would highly recommend giving this place a try. A fun time! The patio area was amazing with large T.V.'s well within sight and good music easily heard. The serving staff was effectively providing awesome coverage as each member clearly attended to their customers' needs. Man this place is just a waste of a great location. Pretty genius really piggybacking off the rose music center so I will give them that... but as far as the food, it is just not good whatsoever. Not a fan of getting bombarded by server after server, It gets old quick. Overpriced beer and drinks. Menu items are off the wall and the selection is different but not in a good way. You can't even get American cheese on a hamburger. That's just lame, sorry. Ribs are not good and the pulled pork sandwich is garbage. I'd like to see a better place in this location once chumps is closed. Typical Huber Heights establishment. I hate to be saying this but it's true... Place still sucks! Same above is true to word.
