Came here for lunch on a Monday so it was very quiet and service was pretty prompt. Nothing special there besides. Went with the medium Philly sub with teezers as a side - those puppies were tasty! Philly was also good but price point seemed quite high for the overall value. If I was reaaaally craving a Philly cheesesteak or they happened to have a great trivia night or sweet happy hour deals I could be swayed to come back, but probably wouldn't otherwise. read more

I went there on a Friday night and omg the service was absolutely horrible. I mean we are talking about food coming late. Wings are not the right quantity. They gave me the weirdest shaped wing I have ever seen. Charged me incorrect items. I was honestly extremely disappointed in the service I have received. I get it Friday night could be busy but that place wasn't even busy. There were a handful of tables occupied. I had an appetizer and a whole pizza with one drink. She didn't even ask once, if I needed a refill of water. The waitress then proceeded to complain to me "you don't know the day I was dealing with" which was extremely unprofessional. Submarine house continuously serves up delicious and fresh food. Their pizza is a family favorite. My son loves their pepperoni pizza and I love the pepperoni mushroom sausage pizza. There is something special about their pizza. Perhaps it's the oven they are cooked in or the fact they use great ingredients but their pizzas are amazing. Today we tried something new. My friend got a house salad and the cheesesteak pizza and I got the chicken bacon ranch. My pizza was incredible!!! I have never tasted pizza that so amazing. (I don't think it's on the menu. Our waitress recommended it.) My friend loved her cheesesteak pizza. I tried a piece and liked it too. It has their signature pepper relish on it so it was a little spicy but you could always ask for less of that. Two other items that never disappoint are the Teazers (they are finally back! They we're out for a while) and the Italian sub. When I'm craving flavor and spice, the Italian sub hits the spot. Everything was served piping hot and our server awesome. read more

My husband and I frequent this location in Huber Heights. We've never gone on a Friday night. They were busy. I ordered a pizza sub. When it came, there was barely anything on it. I asked the server for more pepperoni and I opened up the bread so she could see. A few minutes later, she brought out a basket of greasy pepperoni bits. In actuality, it looked like whoever was running the kitchen, scraped the "crap" off of the grill and threw it in a basket. Normally, their sandwiches are great. "Full." Beer is cold. Gyro meat is the quality you get from a grocery store. You can tell by its shape it's not made there. The kid liked her boneless chicken appetizer with fries as a meal. I picked this restaurant on a whim, based on a Yelp photo. I got the Super Italian oven-toasted sub. Half is huge!! It was excellent, but there were a lot of other menu items I'm anxious to try in the future. I don't like noisy sports bars, and this was relatively quiet. Very nice. read more

This is one of the nicest bars in north Dayton area. They have their own parking lot, outside area and pretty big space inside. The service was good. We had cheese pizza and chicken raisin salad. Tomato sauce on the pizza was phenomenal and so was pizza dough. Salad came with a dressing on the side. The salad had pretty good ratio of all ingredients and it was fresh. There is a jukebox and many TVs that play sports. Will be back. read more

The second time was on a Friday night. I walked in to order something for take out. I made it about 1 foot into the building and was bombarded with extremely loud music and tv. Of course, since the music and TV's were so loud, the guests had to scream at each other to be heard by their table mates. Even though I was only there for take out it was way too much to stay even long enough to order. I don't mind a little noise, especially in a bar/restaurant setting but if it's billed as more restaurant than bar, the volume of the entertainment should be below the decibel level of a rock concert. read more

Prices are high, quality is terrible and staff was a mess. We went with some neighbors and had a terrible experience. The wait staff was super slow and uninformed: the one waitress came back 5 times to ask my friend a question about the bottled beer she ordered because she kept forgetting. My pizza sub was an absolute joke. There was hardly anything in it and no flavor. I regret not taking a picture. There were literally a few pepperoni, banana peppers and a bunch of onions. Couldn't even get a spoonful of sauce to disguise the lack of substance. Also if I'm paying nearly $7 for a sub, especially when it's a bread sandwich, they could at least spring for a handful of chips on the side. $3.29 for all sides is ridiculous, especially not offering a discount with the sub purchase. My husband's short beer was $7 (and it was like a 6.8%) which is a little steep. And he didn't order food so my sub was all we had to go on. I walked away hangry at the whole dining experience. We were also denied a second round at 9:53 even though Dewine cut alcohol at 10pm. The waitress never told us last call was 9:45 and no call was made. They were busy for a Wednesday evening so my daughter and I decided to sit outside in the patio. I don't know if that was the mistake we made or what but after 20 minutes I had to flag someone down to take our drink order. Drinks came out fairly quickly. But after another 15 minutes and asking how we were doing then proceeding to walk off, I had to tell the server (I also believe he was the bartender) we were ready to order food. My husband and I went to grab a drink and dinner before a concert at the Rose. They were obviously understaffed, so we anticipated having to wait a bit for someone to take our order.
