I've had the opportunity to look early at this restaurant- it's like the other Old Scratch pizza places - excellent. Oops, I meant to write more on this. We ate at OS again tonight. It's easily the best pizza in Troy, nothing else is close. It's busy. Parking may be an issue, be prepared for that. Once inside we waited 30 min at 5 pm but it is SO WORTH IT! Plan for that. Salads: we had Applewood bacon ranch and a Mediterranean salad. Both chopped salads either a bunch of fresh nummyness added. We enjoyed them. Pizza: we had the Pep Rally. I was very impressed with the service, quality of food, and price for a baby sprinkle we held in the private party room. Everything was very good. And everyone working was super accommodating and flexible. Couldn't be more pleased. The food was delicious! And we got a very nice selection of pizza and salad. You were able to bring in our own dessert and decorations. There were a few people, but I personally only had a direct contact with Zada big shout out to her. We love Troy and we love pizza. We've been to Old Scratch's other locations before and were excited to try Troy. We ordered the Mr. Scratch and Sophie Mae pies. Both were amazing - one white and one red. Good flavors but both crusts came out burnt on what I think was the inside of the oven. My son ordered a kids pep, and it was burnt but the kitchen brought to him to pick on while they remade it voluntarily. We appreciated that, but then got our Mr. Scratch and noticed it was charred. Flavor again - on point and fresh. It was a Friday night (tonight) at 5pm and they were getting busy. We did feel a bit rushed as our kids finished up with some friends and a busser came by and took my son's pizza away thinking he was done before any adults could say anything. It was very clear they were trying to turn tables and were ready to clean up and move us along. Did not necessarily appreciate that; however, the young girl who did this was probably 18. A manager would probably not have done this - so I think it was just lack of experience and the inability to read a table, or feeling pressured or nervous to clean up and move those standing in to seats. To be clear, we did not overstay. We ate our pizza within 15-20 minutes of its arrival and time from walking in to the line to walking to our car was 1 hour and 10 minutes. They're doing well and feeling the love, but don't let them rush you. I wish I had said something about the pizza theft. Next time, I will... and we will Unquestionably be back to continue to support a great business with great atmosphere and delicious food. read more

Not all locations are good, this one was great. Our 2 fave locations are downtown Dayton and now Troy. Tim, the bartender, is amazing and welcomed us in as we entered for the 1st time, and because of his customer service, we bellied up to the bar. Had a few beers and ordered the Roasted Cauliflower. Went to the Troy location again with a friend. The gift card that was given to me by someone from corporate was not valid. It was kind of embarrassing since there was no bar code. The lady tried over and over again to put the numbers in the system but was unsuccessful. We stayed and ordered the family size Mediterranean salad with lettuce, chickpeas, tomatoes, and olives. There is no meat on the salad. While the salad tastes good we both were surprised at the portion. Both of us were able to eat the entire salad and commented to each other that they sure have decreased in size. Doubt I will return, just not worth the price of $20 including tip. read more

We got takeout so didn't spend much time inside but it is a beautiful building. Pizza size is either 12" or kids (which is shaped like Mickey Mouse). Wife and I split a pizza and a salad and we split breadsticks with the group and felt like it was a good amount of food. If you have a big appetite you could easily finish one of these. Someone in our group got the gluten free crust and said it's the best they've ever had. Only downside I can think of is that there could have been more meat on the pizza but might've just been the style. The kids each got the kids pizza, one of them nearly finished it, I was shocked. We ordered three pizzas for carryout and when we got them home none were cooked. We were biting into raw dough. I had driven 20 minutes to pick up our order so I wasn't driving back. I called and the manager made excuses for the reason our food was not cooked. Then she said she would refund my order but it took her until the end of the conversation to offer that. When I looked at my bill I realized she didn't refund the entire order she still charged me for the two side salads. After you are served your pizza, service is nonexistent. Never had anyone check on us or the food. Once we were finished, it took over 10 minutes of me trying to flag someone down to get to-go boxes and another 5 minutes to have those boxes actually brought. Poor online service. They have an email address titled "HELLO" and that is what it feels like when sending anything as they never answer you. HELLO?! I will say, along with other family and friends as well as patrons we have spoken with, food quality is becoming subpar and nothing that excites anymore. Don't bother asking for extra anything on food. Even though they charge you for it you still don't get "extra". I look at extra or added items to be double the items or at least evident that they put more or even the added item to your order. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. Both our pizzas consisted of mostly crust and sauce and very minimal toppings. You should be more generous with the toppings for the price we paid, and especially since you collect payment and a tip before we get the meal to even know if it is even worthy of a tip.
