Perfect lunch spot for a nice bright casual atmosphere. In contrast, it is also a busy, lively dinner spot. Had the best lunch with a friend. I have previously been unimpressed with the salads, but today it was spot on. I think they were underdressed when I've had had them before. Pizza was delicious with a chewy, flavorful crust. Olives had a great taste with a mild, warm mouthfeel. They aren't pitted, which slightly takes away from the enjoyment. The sleeper star was the Italian wrap. With salty, flavorful meat and crisp lettuce. The wrap itself seems made from the same dough as the pizza. It was VERY good. Just writing this I want to go back and get it again. It's easily the best pizza in Troy, nothing else is close. It's busy. Parking may be an issue, be prepared for that. Once inside we waited 30 min at 5 pm but it is SO WORTH IT! Plan for that. I was very impressed with the service, quality of food, and price for a baby sprinkle we held in the private party room. Everything was very good. And everyone working was super accommodating and flexible. Couldn't be more pleased. The food was delicious! And we got a very nice selection of pizza and salad. We love Troy and we love pizza. We've been to Old Scratch's other locations before and were excited to try Troy. We ordered the Mr. Scratch and Sophie Mae pies. Both were amazing - one white and one red. Good flavors but both crusts came out burnt on what I think was the inside of the oven. My son ordered a kids pep, and it was burnt but the kitchen brought to him to pick on while they remade it voluntarily. We appreciated that, but then got our Mr. Scratch and noticed it was charred. Flavor again - on point and fresh. It was a Friday night (tonight) at 5pm and they were getting busy. We did feel a bit rushed as our kids finished up with some friends and a busser came by and took my son's pizza away thinking he was done before any adults could say anything. It was very clear they were trying to turn tables and were ready to clean up and move us along. Did not necessarily appreciate that; however, the young girl who did this was probably 18. A manager would probably not have done this - so I think it was just lack of experience and the inability to read a table, or feeling pressured or nervous to clean up and move those standing in to seats. To be clear, we did not overstay. We ate our pizza within 15-20 minutes of its arrival and time from walking in to the line to walking to our car was 1 hour and 10 minutes. They're doing well and feeling the love, but don't let them rush you. I wish I had said something about the pizza theft. Next time, I will... and we will Unquestionably be back to continue to support a great business with great atmosphere and delicious food. read more

Went to the Troy location again with a friend. The gift card that was given to me by someone from corporate was not valid. It was kind of embarrassing since there was no bar code. The lady tried over and over again to put the numbers in the system but was unsuccessful. We stayed and ordered the family size Mediterranean salad with lettuce, chickpeas, tomatoes, and olives. There is no meat on the salad. While the salad tastes good we both were surprised at the portion. First time ordering from here and we were impressed. We had a big order and the staff helped carry it out to our car, very friendly. We got takeout so didn't spend much time inside but it is a beautiful building. Pizza size is either 12" or kids (which is shaped like Mickey Mouse). Wife and I split a pizza and a salad and we split breadsticks with the group and felt like it was a good amount of food. If you have a big appetite you could easily finish one of these. Someone in our group got the gluten free crust and said it's the best they've ever had. Only downside I can think of is that there could have been more meat on the pizza but might've just been the style. The kids each got the kids pizza, one of them nearly finished it, I was shocked. I'm not a big fan of pizza so I think it's fare to say It's great I have a five star review. This was by far the best pizza shop I've been to. The good was do good though I will say all they have is pizza, basic subs, and some salads. I don't hold it against them though beause there good at what they do. The meatballs are also so good. The restaurant environment was very welcoming and the fact the place use to be a fire house adds to the oven cooked pizza deal. The service even on a Sunday lunch rush was very quick. The best part though? The people were So kind. One of the waiters even took a picture with my brother after spending so much time making sure we were satisfied with are good. After you are served your pizza, service is nonexistent. Never had anyone check on us or the food. Once we were finished, it took over 10 minutes of me trying to flag someone down to get to-go boxes and another 5 minutes to have those boxes actually brought.
