First off I like to support local businesses, instead of the everyday chain restaurants. Ordered at 4:53pm arrived at 5:10pm to pay and pick up, as it was to be ready at 5:13. Was told "we are a little behind" and should be another 10 min. We got our over sauced, burnt pizza at 5:22. When question the person who checked me out , he say that's the way they always look. If this is the quality of the product they are going to put out, then this building will be for lease again real soon. As far as the ambiance, just a bunch of loud kids that were working there is all you can hear. As I think back I don't believe I saw an adult supervisor around. Anyway don't waste your money , you'll be sorry and just have to write another bad review. read more

14 Dec we eat here rather often and have really enjoyed the pizza. We've noticed the last two times that the quality has not been as good as what we had originally been experiencing. Tonight was by far the worst. Our carryout pizza when we got home to look at was not a very attractive pizza. When we tried to eat it, it would fall apart, and there were several pieces that literally when you picked them up separated. Hopefully we'll get back to our normal experience on the next visit. We ordered thin crust and it is a nice consistency with a flavored buttery drizzle, but I would classify it as hand-tossed for thickness. Although compared to Detroit pan style, this is thin... The sandwich is served toasted and has quality ingredients and plentiful toppings. The bread is downright perfect - crispy exterior, chewy interior, and a light cornmeal base. The French fries are perfectly fried and lightly battered for a crisp texture. Impeccable and a great side for a sandwich. The service is good. Friendly and efficient. The servers pay close attention to where you sit for dine-in and after you place your order at the counter, they bring your order to your table. The only disappointment is they only serve Pepsi products. The food makes this a non-issue though! Tips: 1. Try the pizza bombs. We did not order these and I'm suffering from FOMO. Ok a 3 may be a bit harsh but I also believe a 4 would be too generous. Here's the down low: We ordered 3 pizzas tonight for our pool party. We had: A cheese pizza. Cheese, sauce and crust. Not sure why one would order such a pizza but there were those at the party that insisted. Go figure - they liked it. Pepperoni, mushroom and jalapeño. Sauce was eerily like LaRosas sauce. Mushrooms were good, jalapeños had some snap, crust was like a bought platter crust. Sorry but not interesting. Sausage, mushroom and jalapeño. Great little lunch spot in Troy, Ohio. My family up north and I meet half way and just found this place which is under new management. Huge menu with lots of choices which helps with different palates and restrictions. They have TVs to watch sports and coloring books for kids. Service was a little slow but everything is made to order so food was fresh and hot! Very easy parking in big strip lot but is a little off the beaten path to get to. read more

My fiancé and I were looking for somewhere we've never had in the area and we found MattyQ's. The service we received was helpful and down to earth! I ordered a 6" Italian sub and loaded fries. My fiancé ordered jalapeño poppers and a Texas tenderloin. The food came out quickly, was hot, and delicious! We finished it off with some complimentary Italian water ice. Food is classic American pizzeria type and well done with unique dishes (the pumpkin twists are very addictive). So this would be solid pizzeria option for lazy weekends or busy weeknights. read more

Oh my gosh I wish we lived close to this pizza place!! Best pizza we have had in a very long time. We were in Ohio for the Springfield show and staying in Troy so pizza after a very long day of picking seemed just the thing. Filling was just the right amount, to the edge of the pizza, with fresh toppings and great quality cheese. Awesome crisp yet chewy crust. The sauce was great and even though we couldn't finish our pizza there was no way we were leaving the leftovers; put it in the freezer at our hotel and it was great when we reheated ut back in Texas a few days later! My family and I went to this restaurant for the first time this week. We were not greeted and no one was even friendly. We ordered 2 pizzas and 2 appetizers. We asked for 5 glasses of water and were given 5 bottles of water. I questioned this and the kid said that they always used bottled water but assured me that we weren't charged for that. When we sat down, I checked our receipt and we were charged $5 for bottled water. The chicken fajita pizza sounded great but was not even edible. The crust was soggy and the ingredients tasted frozen, not fresh. The other pizza was pepperoni and sausage. One would think that is difficult to mess up but I've had better pizzas from a gas station. Our bill was over $40, not worth it when we had to throw it away because it was so bad. read more
