Good service right away. Seated quickly. Brought coloring books and crayons for my kiddos. Drinks were quick to the table. We put an order for pizza and she asked if the spicy stuff should be on the side, again being considerate of my Littles. My Littles aren't fans of spicy. My prankster second daughter put Rick Astley on the jukebox, and a half dozen patrons down the restaurant started singing out as it went. So, I was browsing Yelp for something new and stumbled upon this spot. Their website boasted awesome chicken wings, and some reviews seemed to back that up. I decided to place a to-go order: 1 medium (10 wings) in garlic buffalo sauce and 1 small (5 wings) in hot sauce, both extra crispy, please. Fifteen minutes later, I swung by to pick up my order. The guy at the counter was friendly, and as I looked around, I could sense the local bar vibe-it seemed like a favorite hangout spot for the neighborhood crowd. I did noticed the package felt pretty light. Sure enough, the wings were on the smaller side, but they looked and smelled delicious. They definitely nailed the extra crispy request. The garlic buffalo sauce was a tasty touch-creamy and well-balanced. Overall, the wings were solid, though I do wish they were bigger. I polished off 15 of them and still didn't feel completely full. Friendly service. Nice beer selection. Good sandwiches. My wife and I visited the Sub House while staying with family in the area. The staff was friendly, fast and had great recommendations. They made sure our drinks stayed full and really kept things moving (in a good way!). My wife ordered the grilled chicken salad. The portion was large and the ingredients seemed fresh and high-quality (not your standard iceburg lettuce bar salad.). I ordered the Cheesesteak. I will say I was a little disappointed in this sandwich. The bread and ingredients were top quality and tasted great, but the proportions seemed off. The bread seemed overly large for the amount of filling. Again: this tasted great, but the bread was too big for the meat. The real star was the Onion Rings (we split an order). They were hot, crispy and quite tasty. These were some of the best onion rings I've had in ages. All in all it was a great lunch at a reasonable price. read more

First time here, and last time back. It was a busy night-which I am very patient and understanding. We had a party of 5 after my son's baseball game. Waited to be sat for about 10 minutes. No one acknowledged us, so we seated ourselves. Waited another 13 minutes for the bartender to ask us what we wanted to drink. Waited another 10-15 minutes for her to come back to get our order. Our food took forever. We had to go to the bar to get our refills. Never received eating utensils. Our food took 35 minutes to come out. 2 of our meals were incorrect. We didn't complain because no one came back to check on us. Our waitress sat down at the bar and started to drink a beer as we sat there waiting for our bill and boxes. The vibe is relaxed, good specials, and the food is delicious! Highly recommend the tater tots that have cheese and jalapeño in them. Why is this not a thing all the time? Sub house Troy is one of my favorite bars in town. Apparently I'm not the only one that feels this way because the place is always busy. The only down side to subhouse Troy is it's small and finding a spot to eat or drink can at times be difficult. I love their subs (best in the area) and the teezers are freaking delicious. The staff is always friendly and laughing. Drink specials are every day and prices are really fair. They also have games on, and its location is perfect. I get the super ham and turkey with the works, num num num. The cheese steak subs are their staple and they are also damn good. We stopped here for lunch after a local resident recommended the place. We won't be back. Totally meh. The grilled subs we had were too much bread and too little meat/veggies/cheese. Fries were unseasoned, bland, and ordinary. Service only rated one star, or zero stars. Our server seemed bored and and put out that she had to wait on us. The place wasn't busy at all, only two tables plus a few at the bar but she seemed far too busy to stop by our table. Big family gathering here last night and it worked out perfectly. There were 12 of us and at first it was alittle difficult getting everybody seated together as the place was pretty full. Anyway, with some staff help and some very nice patrons will to move around we were able to slide three tables together and everybody had a seat. Our server was great but was concerned that we were going to overwhelm the kitchen so he took our orders in batches. Great idea, it worked out that the food all came out in a timely manner with no time gaps from the kitchen. Food was great, everybody loved it. This was one of those places I kept passing by for awhile in Troy and always said "we should try that place out". Then we did, and we are regulars now. Love this place! After seeing everyone on my Facebook check-in and rave about this place, I had to check it out. my first inital thought walking in was REALLY? It was like a smaller version of a Buffalo Wild Wings. The music was way too loud for the setting. I think a fight broke out in front. I had a Irish Carbomb and the bartender totally skimped on the Guinness. Its great that the locals love it here, I just didn't get the hype. Though the prices on the chalboard was a unique touch. I'll stick with the leaf though. read more

Meh. Meh says it all. The steak subs are ok, they'll fill you up. Didn't think the hot pepper stuff was actually very hot, but my more sensitive friend got burned. The fries have potential, but need to be cooked longer. There was no crispy! They have moved and have a bar now. Delivery is also an option. The bar actually gets sorta busy, and seems like it would be a nice spot if you had to get tha eat and drink on. Not much else in Troy, anyway. read more

Excellent food, out of the ordinary cuisine and tasty too. Parking is very tricky and the bar has very hard seating but the vibe is pretty good. Staff are friendly and chatty and with the food make a good visit. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. They even have craft beer so this is a win win situation. We will be back.
