Local, yummy, decent priced. I'm not sure what else you could ask for. I'm a big fan of supporting local businesses in these guys fit. They make decent food in their local store. The big guys are trying to push out, check out the new tree gas station across the street. I like their people. They have great people working for them. And they also make really good food. Some of the food isn't my sort and some and I like it. I also like that it's integrated with a corner store, it has a great mom and pop vibe, and I can pick up things besides the food if I need them. read more

We went in to his other restaurant Red Devil Pizza and spent almost $90. The pizza was horrible we ate not even half of it. I messaged them on Facebook and they asked what they could do to fix it. I said a refund. They started a big argument about it and then they posted a picture of ME AND MY KIDS and blasted me publicly. May 2 we ordered two steak sandwiches and fries it was a call in order was told it would be ready in 25 min. Got there and was told it would be 2 more minutes. And it was another 25 minutes and before I was handed my food. The employees were not working together at all for all of them that were working at least 5 to get should of each had their own job to do they acted like they were lost. Here we go again! Gave these clowns another chance and they blew it again. Knew they had big shoes to fill taking over from a local institution like Ording's, so we gave them repeated chances to get it right. WRONG! This bunch of screw-ups continue to mess up even simple 2 dinner orders. All young kids standing around playing with their phones. Ordered the same thing as shown in my past Yelp reviews. Tenderloin sandwich dinner with 2 sandwiches, fries, slaw. Got 1 sandwich that's it. Settled for fries and left. The guy I talked to about the mistake was a rude little snot! It's our own fault for going back. I can GAURANTEE it won't happen again! P.S. I do apologize for using the term clown to describe these people. That's an insult too real clowns. read more

I wish I could vote negative stars on this poor excuse of an establishment. $11 dollars for a chicken dinner cooked in rancid tasting oil. 8 dollars for a chicken wing dinner with literally the smallest wings I've ever seen and almost $8 for a very clearly factory made "burger" that tastes like preservatives . I don't live in Troy anymore (my hometown) but had to come in town unfortunately because my uncle passed away. With family coming into town, we needed a ton of food for the length of the viewing and a family gathering afterwards. JJ's was absolutely amazing helping us! Jason was so kind, and his staff was amazing helping me. We had plenty of food, it was delicious, and the customer service they provided was wonderful too! With a stressful time, they easily helped me get everything I needed without additional stress and with a smile on their faces! I was blown away and so thankful for them! read more

30 years getting sandwiches from Ordings, no problems. First time from JJ's, patty was burnt black. No way cook didn't notice. I live too far away to have just taken back. Maybe I'll give another chance, but I will check each sandwich before leaving store. read more

We have been ordering from Ording's for over 20 years. When JJ"s took over they changed the pizza recipe. I have to say I am not a fan; however, we just continued to get the chicken dinner all white as we LOVE it. Well they changed that recipe too and didn't tell anyone when ordering. So disappointed. when I called they said they changed the breading. The breading is what made it standout above 'deli style chicken' and it was so flavorful. Now it is just like deli chicken at a local grocery. No flavor. Worst part is they didn't tell anyone. Why buy an establishment that has been successful and then change the things that are great. If it isn't broken don't fix it. go back to the old chicken recipe read more

There food sucks they get it wrong don't want to fix it and when you call the other restaurant and they tell you what it is supposed to be. Don't eat there this is the worst place where definitely the customer is never right. read more

I have had issues with JJ's a couple of times in the past, one time the food would be good and the next time it would be burned and not so good. I had decided before not to deal with them, but tried once again tonight. I ordered delivery and they took my credit card number over the phone and told me it would be 45 minutes to an hour. After an hour had passed I called to see what was going on. They told me that the driver had just left and should be arriving any minute. After this I waited another half hour and called again to cancel my order and was put on the line with the manager who was quite rude with me and said that they would not be able to deliver to me in the future. I am curious to see if they will do a credit to my card as they are very mismanaged Will definitely not deal with this business again and do not recommend this to anyone. read more

BAD EXPERIENCE They charged us double what was quoted over the phone. When I tried to get refund for the amount we were overcharged the owner's wife, co-owner said she will get to the bottom of it and call me back. She never called back. On Friday, August 24, 3:36pm, I called to get the price for 50 pieces of chicken, talked to a female, and was quoted $40.00. At 5:43pm, I called to place the order for 50 pieces of chicken to be ready the following day. The next day at 2:07pm, I called to add 25 pieces of chicken and hot sauce to the order. The chicken was for my grandson's birthday party at 4:00. Running late to the party, I sent my daughter Katy to pick up the chicken. Instead of being charged $60 as expected, she was charged $113.50. I never told her how much it would be so when paying she had no idea she was being overcharged. I didn't find out this happened until Sunday evening when we were going over the cost of the party and Katy complained that the chicken was way too expensive. I said $65 was the norm, it's what we've paid every year for the chicken; typically we order the same amount from Dot's in Dayton. I was shocked to learn that she had been charged $113.50. In addition to being overcharged, many of the guests at the party said the chicken was dry and overcooked. Six of the guests had been eating Ording's Party Time chicken for years. We all six commented, "It's not Ording's anymore!" On Monday, 2:33pm, I called and talked to a male, who also said I was quoted the right amount and confirmed $40 is the price for 50 piece box of chicken. I asked if I can talk to the manager and he said I can talk to the owner, Jason. He said Jason was right there. He placed me on hold. When he came back on the phone he said Jason is in a meeting and will call me back, and he said he is sure Jason would take care of it and apologized Jason couldn't come to the phone. On Wednesday, 11:50am, I called and talked to Brittany, the owner's wife, co- owner. She said the price we were charged was correct or close to correct. She said their chicken is not $40 for 50 pieces, unless you are ordering wings. Chicken wings are $40 for 50 wings. I told her that is what I was quoted and when I asked for the price I said CHICKEN not chicken wings. She said well when you come in you can see the menu, on the menu we sell buckets with 16 pieces and she said the price is around $20 something. I said but I didn't come in the store. I called in and was quoted the $40 price. She said who did you talk to? I said a female and I didn't ask her name. And, I told her when I called in Monday the male I talked to said the price is $40 too. After hearing that, she said she would have to figure up the amount and then call me back. Before I had the chance to give her my phone number I had to take another call so I said I would call her back. When I called at 12:05 she said she could give me back $10 or give a store credit because the price I paid was close to correct. I said, but that is not what I quoted. She said she would try to get to the bottom of it. Here's the bottom line, to help her quickly get to the bottom of it. The customer is always right! If an employee does not know the prices then said employee should not answer the phone or at the very least, employees should not give wrong information! It is okay to say please hold the line for someone that knows the information. There is NO WAY I would ever knowingly buy 75 pieces of chicken for $113.50! Congratulations, you've lost my business. Used to love Ordings. Recently placed an order with JJ's and thought we would try delivery. DO NOT DO THIS! We were told 40 to 45 minutes on a Tuesday night. (Not a big restaurant night btw) We waited over an hour and then called to check on it. Were told that the driver had left and was out and should be there soon. Waited another half hour. No food. Called again and asked to speak to manager and was put on hold. Manager never got on phone but the same girl who took the order did. I asked her if we could at least get some type of discount at this point since I knew the food would be cold. I told her I realized I would have to pay the driver the full amount since it was already out--I was fine with that, just wanted maybe a discount on future orders. Nope. Answer was that they just "got busy". Bottom line--food was COLD, late, and the pizza was not even right (wrong toppings). Seriously, how hard can this be? I get that things may get busy but don't over promise and under-deliver. And learn some good customer relations 101 and offer at least a discount on some future order.....which there will now never be. read more
