The building next door (owned by this establishment) is being demolished for a future expansion so it looks a little scary from back there. Also some street parking. Both front and rear entrances have steps with solid dual handrails, but there is no wheelchair access that I could see. There's outdoor seating on decks in front and it annoyed me to see multiple signs forbidding smoking or even vaping. This is outside in the open air, uncovered, not near the door. It's comfortable inside with a back room for overflow. We soon found out why it was so a buzz. Great food, great service and Joe, who's probably the most personable and sincere owner I've ever come across, who shared some great stories. The icing on the cake was finding out he briefly lived near us in central NC. It really is a small world! I had a delicious reuben sandwich with perfectly grilled bread. My spouse had been craving a BLT and this one hit the mark. A generous order of fries rounded it all out. Good food aside, Joe was the highlight. He was happy to share some info about sites to see in Dayton, for future reference, a city he clearly loves. When we were leaving we looked for him to thank him and say goodbye, but didn't see him.
