Just ordered from here on DoorDash…read more I had their fish tacos which were amazing. I did find them slightly spicy from the Baja sauce on them. You could tell that they had fresh cilantro in them as well. The chips and queso were pretty normal. The queso is slightly spicy and slightly sweeter than other quesos I've had. It was a very well rounded queso where you can taste the different items in the queso. (I bring up the items being slightly spicy because I don't like anything too spicy and these were the perfect amount of kick for me.) I also ordered sopapilla and a churro. I've never had sopapilla, they tasted like mini friend dough with sugar and light cinnamon. The churro was like a bite of heaven. Warm all around, crunchy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. I would eat here again in a heartbeat. Also would like the mention since I got my order via DoorDash it was a to go order. They nicely packaged and separated everything in a pretty eco friendly manner, tin foil and paper bags.

I live in Cincinnati now but my bf was up in Dayton a week or so ago for work and saw one of their spots. He called me to see if I wanted something and of course I did. I stuck to my original fave and got the Turkey sub with "the works"!! DO THIS!! It translated after over an hour drive home to me! You have to get "the works", the hot pepper relish is SO good!! It's not too hot and the flavor is perfect! Cheesesteaks are bomb too but that turkey sub!!

I had the chicken chimichanga and it was just okay and it also really lacked any flavor. I glad I ordered the lunch portion. My wife got the chicken fajita and the same problem, it really lacked flavor. The guacamole appears not to have been made fresh. Honestly, I won't stop here again. The staff spoke English to us but all other communication was in Spanish which in my paranoid mind meant they were talking about us. Just had a conversation with our waiter and we expressed our problem with meal and he apologized and said he would check into it. That was comforting. I would note that I observed that all condiment bottles at table were almost empty so maybe others need ed more flavor with their meal also? Again the waiter was super apologetic and pleasant to have at the table.

The staff here is always friendly, the service is quick, and the whole place feels clean and welcoming -- exactly what you want when you're grabbing a sub on a busy day. But let's talk about the real star of the show: The Steamer. This sandwich is ridiculously delicious. It comes out hot, melty, and stacked just right every single time. The pastrami and corned beef are tender, the provolone melts perfectly into every bite, and the Italian dressing ties it all together without being too heavy. It's one of those sandwiches where you take the first bite and immediately think, "Yep... I'm finishing this whole thing." If you've never tried The Steamer, do yourself a favor and order it. It's easily one of the best hot subs around -- comforting, flavorful, and honestly kind of addictive. Firehouse Subs continues to be one of my go‑to spots for a reason. Great food, great people, and a sandwich that hits every time.
