I really enjoy 5 Guys. It's definitely nothing fancy, but it's the only fast food type restaurant that I believe in. I've eaten here quite a few times and have never been disappointed. Unfortunately, I'm gluten free and they don't offer a gluten free bun, but that doesn't stop me from eating here. Their lettuce wrap is messy as hell so I usually get a double bowl and put it over a bed of whatever greens I have on hand at home. It's never let me down! The burgers are a bit dry so it doesn't make my greens soggy, however that might be an issue if you're going for a greasy, comfort food type burger. The French fries thooooo! Greasy and fresh and delicious. Everything you'd want in a cup of fries. Serving sizes are huge. So good. A huge perk is that 5 Guys doesn't make me feel like death after I eat it like many other fast food places. Although, not gonna lie, I haven't eaten at most fast food joints since about 2005. If you're looking for something good and fast, swing by 5 Guys! Let me know how their hotdogs are. Probably extravagant, tbh. read more

The food was good and the dining area was in need of some floor cleaning but not terrible. However, this was the most expensive five guys ever. You need to consider adjusting your prices. For my first time trying Five Guys, I had a good experience. As one of the many food options at the University of Dayton, my teammates decided on stopping there after a long day of playing volleyball. The service was friendly and pretty fast. The location was clean and decorated with posters, props and pictures. My burger was juicy and filling, with free toppings to choose from. There were a variety of drink options, except one of the machines was out of the drink I wanted. My Oreo cookie pieces milkshake was delicious and I would recommend it. Five Guys is definitely on the more expensive side, so I won't be going often as a college student, but it was a nice treat! read more

I love five guys, I'm from Northern Va, and this orginial was something that I was pumped about when I heard they were opening one on Brown Street. I love the juicy burgers, the huge portions, the good prices, and the awesome toppings. and AMAZING fries ! This five guys, did not have this. This has been an epic failure, poor management and quality control here is this issue. Slow cook times, always undercooked fries, and great on everything, that you don't get when you go to one of these else where. I love Five Guys and I hope that this place can turn it around soon. I went to Five Guys after hearing great things from everyone i talked to. After eating there I was left confused as to why anyone would ever WANT to eat there. It is greasy. And when i say greasy I mean puddles of grease on everything. The bag was almost translucent with grease. Disgusting. The burgers are meager and look like something you'd expect to find on a dollar menu; not something you would pay $6+ dollars for. The toppings were boring and predictable. The fries .would be tolerable if they weren't swimming in oil. The worst part of Five Guys came that evening when i was stricken with food poisoning and was bed ridden for 2 days. After visiting the University health center i was told that i was the 4th student to report food poisoning and that the Dept. Health had been notified. Do yourself a favor and drive a block further to SmashBurger if you're craving a hamburger. It is vastly superior in service, quality, and price. read more

The burgers and hot dog were okay, unfortunately everything was incredibly squished because of the way it was stacked in the bag. I arrived earlier than door dash pick up states and I waiting about 10 min until the person packing the bags decided to call my name despite showing him my confirmation. I will give them the benefit of the doubt as they were getting their tails handed to them. Unsure if I would order from here again because out of the 7 people working only 2 were wearing their mask appropriately. read more

Went there today for lunch, got a cheese dog and fries. For whatever reason this was my first time ever getting a hot dog at five guys and I'm upset with myself for waiting this long. It was delicious! And the fries were perfect as usual. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I ordered online and set it to have my food ready at 11:15, got there exactly at 11:15 and still had to wait another 10 minutes. This was the best experience I have ever had at a five guys and only the second time I have been at this specific location. Our cashier was super friendly, looking at my receipt it says his name was Nathan. Then our food was quickly ready. We sat down to eat our delicious as always hot burger and fries and everything was cooked to perfection. The fries were cooked perfectly unlike other times when maybe they are too well done. I found this location yesterday for dinner. I thought it was a great location on Brown Street and the employees all talked and interacted with me and were super nice. I'm not a big fan! Their burgers are ok, but I just can't get excited about this place. I prefer Smash Burger or Red Robin to Five Guys.

I'm not gonna say these are the best burgers ever, but they are definitely pretty good burgers. My burger has always been made to order thus the wait u have, but the peanuts hold you over. The fries are huge and a small is good for 2-3 people. The burgers are not amazing, but they are way better and fresher than anything fast food. They have decent prices as well. As far as the other posters, I disagree I did not feel the burgers were overly greasy. I do not doubt the original is better but 1 star really this place is a 3 star minimum, but maybe I'm not as hard on places as others are. Go try it out for yourselves. read more

My first time ever going to Five Guys was over a week ago. I didn't know that the regular burger was a double so when I unwrapped it, I was surprised. That double decker of decadent deliciousness was a thrill ride for my taste buds. The beef burger patties were thick and juicy, and I was surprised by the meat's tenderness. The burgers are so on point it hurts. The fries are good but nothing to write home about. You do have to factor in the price, as a double cheeseburger is like $8ish and one will not fill me up (I'm chubby, check my prof pic). Always awesome! Burgers are delicious and juicy and made fresh. The regular burger is a double so anyone who thinks that it is small really eats too much. I am a huge eater and it always fills me up. A medium fry is really a bag full and I usually can't finish them. A true guilty pleasure and this is an excellent location! read more

Five Guys has to be the most over hyped restaurant I've ever experienced. At least three different people told me that I "Have to go there". Well I went, and I was not impressed. First of all, you walk in and they have barrels of peanuts standing around - I mean can you possibly get any more gimmicky? The second thing I noticed was that the place is dirty, I mean floor not swept, trash on the floor, etc. When I finally got my food, it was about equivalent to Wendy's, certainly not worth $10. Being a red blooded American, to me there's really nothing better than a great cheeseburger. I mean one that is fresh-made from 100% ground beef that hasn't been sitting around for a long time or even worse... frozen. Sometimes I'll get in a mood and grab some fresh ground beef from Cub Foods (the best tasting that I have found so far) and I'll patty up some burgers and cook them at home but it's nice to go out and get something that satisfies equally to a huge homemade burger and that's what Five Guys is all about. I tried them for the first time recently and I was pleasantly suprised to be enjoying a burger so good. There seems to be an anti-fast food trend moving across the favorite food types. Five Guys is sort of a "Chipotle" of burgers. Falling between the cheapo dollar menu burgers and the gourmet burgers at places like Chili's (which still has a great burger after all these years!) Don't forget to try the fries made in peanut oil... what a change of taste! They don't drown them in salt either. The main thing I like about this place is they keep it simple. It's all about the burger not a corporate logo to worship. If there is a Five Guys close to you, I would at least give them a try... don't take my word for it, taste for yourself. read more
