Held our sons 13th birthday party here. Staff had no idea what they were doing/what was going on-very untrained & unsupervised. Party host we were supposed to have was always no where to be found. Pizza that came with party package was uncooked/raw flat plate of dough with no sauce and barely any cheese. We were supposed to receive water bottles,and a return pass for each guest that we did not get. Son was also supposed to get a t-shirt as the birthday boy that he didn't get. For a $420 party we felt like it was a big disappointment and money wasted. Skyzone is always a great place for a kids to go and have fun. Of course on the weekends it's super busy and filled with a bunch of kinds and parents but the kids always have a blast!!! Value: We were members before COVID, but haven't returned until today. Overall, it's quite disappointing compared to what it used to be. The spinning bar machine kids would dodge is gone, the free standing climbing walls are gone, the sky obstacle course is gone, the VR stations are gone. Cleanliness: The floors are sticky and messes aren't cleaned up in a timely manner. The tornado style handwashing machines in the party rooms read out of soap. Food: The pizza is fluffy, delicious with a good layer of cheese. Definitely better than what you would get at Domino's. Staff: The staff was very friendly, but it was clear the location was understaffed. I imagine with no upward mobility in the career path there, it shouldn't be a surprise that it is mostly teenagers and young adults thinly staffed throughout the facility. Experience: Of course, letting your elementary school kid bounce to their heart's content for an hour to get rid of excess energy is great. The kids at the facility all seemed great, I didn't see anyone pushing or shoving, kids lining up on their own to run up the sky ramp or obstacle course. This place is a giant injury lawsuit waiting to happen. I thought about giving it two stars because the kids loved it, but basic safety is non-negotiable so I decided to keep it at one. Full disclosure, I'm pretty risk averse, and think these places should be managed more like carnival rides where staff control access to each activity, at least during peak hours, and there are those "you have to be this tall" signs to enter. I also only have one other place to compare this to (Flight Adventure Park, also in Springfield), and that place was WAY better than this one. First, there is virtually NO staff walking around the premises to enforce safety rules or crowd control. I went on a Saturday night and not surprisingly it got packed, but at some point there were so many people that some spaces looked like mosh pits. And it was kids of ALL ages mixed together, with teens way larger than myself swinging on ropes just inches above toddlers. Flight Adventure Park had a very small section for kids under a certain age, which was not the case at Sky Zone. If you have a question or see something concerning, good luck trying to find ANY employee out "on the floor". Some reviewers said the only staff around were either super young or on their phones--my experience was just that there are barely any around. The only way I knew that there was even one is because I heard a whistle being blown a few times. But otherwise finding one is like playing Where's Waldo. Secondly, the place got fiiiiilthy. Contrary to other reviews, it looked very clean when I got there, but by the time I left, it was disgusting. No soap in the bathroom, as other people have said. Everything felt tacky/sticky. Maybe they just wait until closing to pick up all the trash, but I don't remember Flight getting that gross (or as crowded, for that matter). Now that I think about it though, that may be because Flight didn't have a concession area - most of the trash was fast food debris like cups and straws. I was also surprised that there wasn't a single hand sanitizer dispenser or container anywhere in this giant facility, it seems like exactly the kind of place where they would have tons of it. We recently came here for a kiddo birthday party and although we had a good time, I still think it is solidly 3 stars. Since we were guests, we didn't have to pay for entrance fees but I know this place isn't cheap! I don't think I could justify coming back and paying $30 per child for some time jumping around. Additionally, lots of the activities are better suited to older kids. Even though my 3 year old has climbed at an indoor climbing gym, at Sky Zone they don't allow anyone under 6 years old to do any activity with a harness. There was a lot that just wasn't super accessible for my kids (3 and 5), or if it was something they could do, it was too intimidating with much older and bigger kids in the same space. I wish there was a little separation in the very active components for different ages. Another minus for me is the number of arcade-type games by the front (not included in entrance fee and kind of takes away from the whole jump-around-and-be-active philosophy). As a plus, the staff who worked here make the place - and birthday parties - run very smoothly and efficiently. Our friends who hosted the party had nothing but positive things to say about the staff they worked with. Called to ask about COVID precautions and was told everyone is required to wear a mask. At least 40 percent of the kids AND adults aren't wearing masks or are wearing masks around their chins. Attendants told me kids aren't required to wear a mask while " active" Totally upset about being lied to about their COVID precautions.. trying to get my 3 year old out of here. Had to come back for the kiddos report card once again, way better experience this time. I have to give all the props to Collin (who was operating on crutches my last visit) for all the excellent services! Collin was working the frost desk, concessions stand, cleaning after tables, and even helped my daughter climb up the warp wall! Collin made our check in process super quick with no hassles and he had a great welcoming personality. It was a bit more crowded than I had hoped but one of the staff said that they raised their capacity. My largest issue with the park last time were the inattentive staff near the trampolines, but this time they were fairly engaging and fun to talk to! My daughter and I had even more fun than last time and both of us can't wait to come back! Very glad to see that Collin's recovery went smooth:). Another thing, if you plan on going around once every other month or so, ask your cashier about the memberships if you can. This past weekend, I took my eight-year-old cousin to Sky Zone as a belated Hanukkah present. We went for GLOW in the evening, which she thought was a lot of fun because it was dark and everything was lit up with black lights. While that was cool, it required that we buy a glow-in-the-dark T-shirt, even though we had shirts that would be easily visible in the black lights. I used to attend a sky zone for their fitness class when I lived in North Carolina, and this Sky Zone had way more than the one I had been to previously. It was pretty much a junior American Ninja Warriors set up. My cousin love the variety of activities and would run between them faster than I could keep up. The variety of activities also gave me as an adult with less energy than my eight-year-old cousin a break from an hour straight of jumping. One note to the adults though, beware of going into the foam pit. Kids can maneuver through that foam pit with ease. However, that is deceiving. As an adult, you will quickly sink to the bottom. Foam pads are like quicksand for adults. There is nothing for you to push off of to get yourself out. It took all of my energy to work my way over to the wall and then pull myself up from the wall to get out. I work out a few times a week, so someone who works out less than me might really be stuck. read more

I've been to Sky Zone Manassas several times and another trampoline jump park before and this one was good in many ways but failed in a way that is most meaningful to me. If you've read any of my reviews you'll recognize I value customer service over many things. First the good! The place is pretty new in build. In fact I was very impressed with how clean the facilities are overall to include restroom (really impressed with the all in one soap dispenser, faucet, hand dryer on the sink--great for the environment and pretty cool to boot) jump areas, and party rooms. The party room had the coolest invention for an automatic hand washer. Where they fell short was customer service. On more than one occasion the employees who's essential mission to to ensure safety were observed letting multiple children jump on trampolines at the same time and in the same square despite rules posted. I had to ask the employee if they allowed this violation of the rules as I saw many kids jumping into the block pit while other kids were still there. The worst offense was the attitude of the employee who did not want to work the wipe out game despite it being operational when we came in. When I approached management to ask when was the activity open they all seemed to say it's open. I late them know its been closed for over 40 mins they said they would get someone over to operate it and after waiting an additional 20 mins I finally asked a random employee if they could open it. This employee literally rolled his eyes and walked away saying it will be open soon. Then proceeds to tell me it didn't work even though I saw the machine working he wanted to stand by his "alternative fact". I insisted he come try the machine and of course it worked. The lack of following safety procedures and customer service causes me great pause about the quality of service at this sky zone. While the facility may be new, the experience and employee attitudes cancels out those positive gains. Remedial or refresher training in safety and customer service should be done soon with the entire staff to ensure the customer experience is one they will not soon forget. read more

Bought a party package (which quickly adds up for extra jumpers, pizzas, etc.) and when the party host gave me the bill, he had handwritten pre-calculated tip amounts starting at 20% of the total-- including the jump fees. I found this ridiculous since he was asking for a tip on the jump fee. If you paid for a jump fee separate from a party, there is no tipping (because they don't provide a service beyond the counter, and you do the wristband yourself). I did give a good tip, just not on the total jump fees but for the couple of hours of service. They also don't discount for under 2yo. and have limited (if any?) options for that age range. I don't plan on doing another party here. Pros: Everyone did a great time. And I liked that they used paper cups and plates. Recommend paper tablecloths to reduce use of plastic or polyethylene. read more

My family loved this place when we first went, and we set up a membership soon after. We even did a birthday party for both of them and their friends (their birthdays are only 4 days apart), and they actually refunded some of our money because the private room wasn't open for less than five minutes after it was supposed to be available. I was impressed. The problems start this year. They kept changing things around, so half the park was constantly closed, including the obstacle course, which was my kids' favorite part. We decided the membership was no longer worth it, but soon discovered THERE IS NO WAY TO CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION ONLINE OR BY PHONE. The local locations do not have the ability to cancel, and the website only offers an email address. My wife sent an email to cancel and received a response in one day saying they'd cancel it before any future charges. They kept charging us, and basically said, we've got it this time, when we complained. After two months, they finally refunded one of five charges. We finally had to resort to disputing the charges with our bank, which required her having to deactivate her card. Our bank refunded (most? I think they missed one) of the charges in one day. SkyZone is huge! It is clean and there is more than enough to do! The facility is really well done and spaced out. I have a 6 and 7 year old and they both enjoy everything. We have gone 3 Times so far and still haven't seen everything! There is so much to do and we always have a great time. Even better I get my workout in while they are playing. The rock climbing is great, the obstacle course is work but epic! The zip line is so much fun! The fact that I get to lead. H example for my kids is priceless. I climbed the tower and they followed their mama. The Ninja course is great practice, not to mention the many trampolines! It is just epic! My kids are already begging for birthday parties there! They claimed there was a sign (which you can not see when you walk in) it also didn't say anything while you are waiting in line to complete waiver. Springfield Sky Zone deserves 1 star for the way they handled the attack on my child that occurred September 24th. My 6 year old son was viciously attacked and sustained 3 bite wounds that broke the skin and multiple scratches to his face and chest. I feel the way the situation was handled by Sky Zone creates a safety issue for the children who play there. The child who did this to my child was not banned from Sky Zone for any period of time other than the day of the incident (therefore could be in the foam pit next time you go with your kids). I was told they do not ban children, only teenagers. I attempt to contact Sky Zone repeatedly to discuss the incident and understand their policy. It took 2 voicemails, 2 Facebook messages, an online 'Contact Me' for submission, an email to their corporate email, and 2.5 days to get a call from the General Manager at the Springfield Sky Zone. It took a week and an email to get her to call me back after our initial conversation where she said she needed to investigate. During that call I was told they do not ban children, only teenagers. To be clear, I do not think the 3-4 year old child who did this to my child should be banned forever. I do feel a child that does this to another child should not be allowed to play again for a period of time in order for some maturation to take place. After that call I was referred to the District Manager. I have emailed 3 times over two weeks and been told twice they are researching the incident. They have not called me to discuss nor have they answered the question of when we can have a conversation. It has been 3 weeks since the incident. I understand these situations are not the norm, however, if a child who does this to another child continues to be welcomed back to play it creates a safety issue for the other children. I know many people who take their children here and I would feel awful if something like this happened to their child and I hadn't said something about the incident. Fortunately, my son is healing fine. He doesn't want to go to Sky Zone again which is fine. I will not be taking my children here again. read more

A shame how fast this place has completely fallen apart. First time back since COVID today, and the place is filthier then ever before. Half the equipment is broken and the trampolines that are open have zero bounce and sound like they are about to break any second. Five of the six computers to sign your waiver at check in are broken, and the girl working the desk didn't say anything about using the QR code to sign the waiver on your phone, even as 10 of us stood in line to use the one working computer. We were here at opening on Saturday. The trash cans were still full from the night before, with sock wrappers, empty cups, and dirt all over the place. The mostly teenage staff were far more interested in talking to each other and playing with their phones then cleaning. Won't be coming back anytime soon. read more

This is THE best Sky Zone we have been to. Completely forgot they were building this one and went in on Friday night. Tons of activities and sections. Zip lining, rock wall climbing, dodgeball, WipeOut...too many to name. It was so impressive that I cancelled a different reservation and booked my kid's birthday party here. There is an annual pass but I didn't catch the price. We don't exactly live down the street so the 6 ,1 hour passes he gets in the Birthday package are perfect and don't expire! First, the staff watching the kids are the worst; trampolín squares for 1 kid has 3-4 jumping, they are bumping each other and the guy in the orange doesn't say anything. Second, the wall is supposed to have 3 at a time and it has 5-6 and a bunch of kids underneath (it is just a matter of time for one kid to jump on top of one of the ones below. Third, you better bring your food because the cafeteria employees says she is NOT going to cook anything while she has to do the party pizza. fourth; They took out 4 games out of the place. We went this morning - the ropes and floor area is under renovation so only half the activities were available. The trampolines were littered with bits of paper, bits of foam, discarded water bottles and other trash. There were multiple monitors and only one was paying attention to the areas. The others were chatting amongst themselves and when I asked for the manager they said they weren't there and said the litter was from a late night party. We haven't gone in several years and it used to nice but we'll go to Scramble or Flight or the Bee Hive instead. read more

This is the closest location to my home, and I got a membership because my child does enjoy it so much. The teenagers they hire to monitor the play areas do not care. Every time I go, they're just sitting there on their phones or talking to their friends. They do not stop kids from doing unsafe things and they do not pay attention to what kids are doing. It's actually alarming. The only reason I feel safe taking my kiddo is because I know that I'll watch him. But other parents do not do the same. If they're counting on the employees to keep their kids safe, they're sadly out of luck. The facility itself is fine. It seems pretty new and overall clean. The front desk workers and snack bar workers are usually pretty sweet and friendly. But the most important job -- keeping kids safe -- is done by people who couldn't be less interested in doing it. If you take your kiddo here, cool. I'll continue to do so because there aren't many other comparable options around. But keep an eye on your kid and don't trust the staff to referee any bad or risky behaviors. They're not gonna. read more

Had my daughters birthday party at the Springfield location on a Sunday. Man o man are they understaffed. If the guests did not fill out their waivers in advance (as most don't...) good luck. Half of the terminals are broken. And there was a 20 minute line to fill out a waiver (out of either 60 or 90 minutes of jump time). The front desk does not have any paper waives. And in addition they said "o, you can do it on your phone", but their mobile website was broken (maybe they fixed it by now...) Two of the three areas that require harnesses were closed (both rockwalls), yet they didn't tell you that when they handed out the harnesses. Nor were there any signs. Stood in line, put on a harness, and had kids from the party ask to go to the rockwall, the staff goes "I'm the only one here, so that wall is closed" Huh? Asked the front desk when the 2nd floor rope course/obstacle course would open (the main reason my daughter wanted her party here). "I don't know, they left, maybe in 20 minutes?" When the 2nd floor rope course opened, there was a big line of kids. They only had FIVE kid sized harnesses (kid sized = ages 6 to 10). The rest were for teens/adults. Once the first five kids went up (with no time limit), the rest of the kids had to wait ENDLESSLY in line. After the jump time for the party ends, there is no announcement, it's up to the parents to go find ALL the children belonging to the party and then bring them up to the party room for Pizza. I'm not sure I'd take my kids here for an open jump, too over crowded and understaffed. But 100% never again will they have a party here. Never again. read more

In May of 2023, I took my son and his friend to jump at Defy Nashville AKA SKYZONE When we got there they told me that they can both jump the entire month for lower than the one day fee. I told the worker I wasn't signing any memberships because we don't live anywhere near the area and I would just pay the higher fee but he told me this wasn't a membership and he assured me that we would never be charged but the one time fee for the two boys. He had me sign something electronically along with waiver forms for the one month free special NOT a membership he said. I never thought about it again and I don't randomly check my account but in August I got a notification that I was just charged "again"after research it was for 2 memberships for third time at DEFY. I was freaked out at the fraudulent charges contacting my bank and then DEFY figuring out maybe they kept charging me and it was true double charges each month 3 monthsI left messages, emails and weeks passed no one would contact me back then someone called and said I needed to cancel my membership through a link and email but didn't ever agree to memberships or have the little boys last name or numbers so at first they were not able to help me. Someone eventually called and asked the names of kids I gave her my child figured out the last name of the other kid they eventually looked it up and gave me a reference number so that I could "cancel"it. When someone called me back again, I explained to them that I was told we had one month to jump for free, and that it was not a membership and it is not ok for an employee to lie to you then I be held responsible and requests refunds for JUNE, JULY, AUGUST for two memberships. I signed something that day maybe a waiver and one time fee the cashier TOLD ME IT WAS for one month and not a membership. If you obtain memberships Dishonesty how do you think that makes a customer feel? I was was never TOLD this and was assured it was one time. DEFY, You can keep my money for two kids months never using your facilities but you lost more than you took by being dishonest and deceiving me. Birthday parties, future visits and a fair warning to the public that if they advertise one month free no membership required it's false advertising and charging me for a child's membership that isn't even my legal child is even worse. This isn't respectable way to do business and it's absolutely unacceptable to treat your customers with this much disrespect. I told you the TRUTH and you could have credited and apologized for your cashier that told me something else. No one is going to believe the cashier is lying so I trusted him and didn't read your contracts it was electronic. Hoping your management team recognizes all the hours and messages asking to make it right absolutely unnecessary and that you will raise your level of customer service up and hear what you were told.
