I found this park from just Yelping parks that was nearby and I am glad we have found this park. It was a decent size. With a big play area, swings, good amount of picnic tables, bbq, and plenty of parking. And although we didn't have to use them; there were restrooms available as well! This park is next to a public school and we were able to walk to the other side of the tennis courts to enjoy the other playground that was part of the school's. My nephews had a fun time here. So much that I had to literally pull them into the car to go home! Lol We will be coming back for sure!

My kids loved watching trains go by, and it is fully fenced in, so you can relax and kids can get any kind of locomotive show. They also made a bike/running trail along side the park. There is plenty of seating and places for families to relax or do a picnic lunch. The playground itself is also amazing! There is a toddler and big kid side. Every type of play equipment you can imagine. I was especially impressed by the maze on the toddler side. I am also not a parent of a child with disabilities, but I recognized some equipment for disabilities. This park really has it all.

I…read morethink this park was constructed a few years ago when they developed the other buildings and apartments in the area. We came here today during Fathers Day, and it seemed like all of the fathers were seated in the park benches while the kids were playing in the fountain. There is also a large playset section wmthat has several slides, plastic ladders, and hoops for kids to play in. Down on the far end, I even noticed an old school swing set with actual chains holding the swings up. There are porta potties, and the entire park is also connected to a large walk and bike path. I believe this path connects to both Patomac Yards and Crystal City. We stayed for a good two hours, and everyone had a lot of fun, even the old folks.

This is a cute little park in the Pentagon City/Crystal City area. I'd definitely say it's geared…read moretoward the younger set. You won't find any playground equipment here but there are a TON of toys from diggers to a trampoline to cozy coupes and similar ride in toys. There are a couple of swings but the real focus here is on the toys. As has been noted previously it is VERY sandy, even outside the sandbox. On our visit there were quite a few hornets within the sand area so I was mostly steering clear of that. This park is very tiny and can get crowded quickly, which is not ideal for social distancing all of the time. Parking is easily found on the street. Also, just as an FYI, there is a playground relatively close (Martha Custis Park, I believe) if you want more apparatuses to climb.

Unfortunately there are only a couple of lanes available in the deep end as the rest of the deep end is saved for things like water aerobics. The weight room was pretty disappointing. It was missing quite a bit of equipment I would expect in a weight room. I ended up choosing a different gym for my weight lifting, as I was constantly having to change my planned workout due to a lack of equipment. The pool is good though.

We've been bringing our son here a few times a week since he was about 10 months old. Since it's so toddler friendly, you'll find a lot of parents of young kids come here from all parts of Old Town Alexandria. It's a great place to meet other parents -- we've met quite a few other parents just from chit chatting at the playground.

There's no bathroom, but catty-corner from the park is a delicious Ethiopian Restaurant (Hawwi). The people there are super nice and usually after we leave the park, I'll go buy a snack or drink and use their bathroom. It's only a few blocks to the Kate Barrett library, as well.
