It's good for little ones. Getting a parking spot close by can be a challenge. To most Jones Point isn't too far, but for some apparently it is. I don't think walking 2/10ths of a mile is a hardship, but some parents over here have complained about it. My thoughts of "grow a pair" were kept silent, but as one would expect, yuppie type of folks don't want any kind of exertion. I used to take my son when little here and it worked. The park looks like it needs some work. Admittedly Covid and other things, have probably interfered with this. My hope is the sandbox and playground can be updated for families. It's fenced in adding more security, as little ones can be rather fast. The hill still offers a nice view of the Potomac River. Also it's close to the Wilkes Street Tunnel, which is enjoyed by all ages.

Located on a hill overlooking the Potomac River is a large public park with a semi-shaded, two-level playground, open grass, benches, and a sand volleyball court. There aren't restrooms or a parking lot, but most walk to the park or park on the nearby streets.

Small but pleasant park. If your in the Alexandria area, this park is near the river walk, shopping and restaurants; great place to relax after a long day!

The Windmill Hill park failed to deliver on the name-at least the windmill part-but the hill offers some nice views, and they've got a playground, sports fields, and a waterside path. There's also a weird pedestrian/bike tunnel under the hill for some reason that pops out a couple of blocks further away from the water. It's not a major destination, but it's a nice local stop.

Lovely park to walk and enjoy the views of the Potomac River. I'd visit again. Parking isn't easy, but street parking is a challenge.
