This is a park in the city of Alexandria with parking! Okay on nice days that might not be accurate. Yet today it was, as my son and I fished here. It looks like there's some renovations going on. Today was cold so even the usual aggressive catfish weren't biting. Here the water quality is suspect, so for us it's always catch and release. If any city folks happen to read this, I hope some efforts are underway to clear out fishing line in the water that regular folks can't reach. These cause snags and disrupt wildlife fellow anglers. It was nice to see people hiking and biking. This is literally next to the Wilson Bridge. There are some basketball courts. They aren't top of the line, but that's not always necessary. I do like the large clearing for dog running or frisbee time. This park offers a fair amount to see and do.

While the playgrounds here are small, there are several other activities that can keep little ones (and adults) busy for a few hours. Points worth mentioning: - lots of open pavement that is great for basketball, practicing or learning to ride a bike, skating, scooting, etc. -historic lighthouse and great views of the Potomac, air traffic, and National Harbor -very dog friendly and lots of open space -trails including the Mount Vernon trail - 2 playgrounds: one has a nautical theme while the other is smaller and more of nets to climb - boundary stones can be located for MD,VA,and DC Parking is plentiful. Definitely recommend checking the park out!

A nice park in Alexandria. It has many bike and running paths. Jones Point Park has some great views along the Potomac. Has lots of basketball courts. There's also plenty of parking areas if you aren't coming by bicycle, running, or walking. For the most part this park is concrete. It still has plenty of green space but not a whole lot. This is because of the location and there was already a lot of concrete to begin with. It's mostly located under the 495 bridge. The bathrooms are located here, and there's signs telling you about the park. It kind of feels weird being in a park and there's all this traffic whizzing by overhead. There's a lot of basketball courts in this area of the park. It best is to come here on a bike. Many trails here to explore. The best part is along the river with the views.

I had visited this place twice, both for photoshoots. The first time I had visited it was for a @streetmeetdc photographer-model event. The symmetry of the bridges made it ideal for photoshoots; however, it was quite busy when I went. There is also a basketball court nearby and you could see the river from here. If you're interested in architecture, it might be a great place to stop by; otherwise, if it wasn't for a photoshoot, I would be pretty bored. It's very dog friendly! If you want to visit the place, you could park at: Jones Point Dr, Alexandria, VA 23242. To get to the playground, you have to walk under the bridge. It's maybe a 10 minute walk to get to the playground. On a hot day, the playground is slightly warm but still usable. There aren't that many people here and it's very tiny but because it's not a well-known place, it's great for a quick photoshoot. There were 2 kids who did come by when I was doing the photoshoot here. Photos by @jeff.yl168 (bridge) and @cb4tography (playground).

I've visited this park a couple times since the start of the pandemic and it's been a nice open space to walk. The park features covered bathrooms under the bridge and a large paved parking area. Although the parking lot can fill up quickly, you can also snag street parking on the road leading up to the park. There are many entrances that lead into the park, so even if you need to park on the side of the road or on the street, everything is paved and easy to access. The park area is huge, so you can walk on one of the several paved paths under the bridge area or walk out to the water to see the beautiful scenery. There are also historical artifacts and markers along the way with signs to explain the significance of the area. You can even see some of the original state division markers on the back paths. It's really peaceful when you go in the morning to the water's edge. If you are concerned about walking or socializing safely, about half of the people there are typically wearing masks, but I did observe some large groups gathering for picnics and activities where no one was wearing a face covering. However, because there are so many paths here, you can usually move out of the way with plenty of time if you need to. Overall, this park is worth a visit if you are looking for a place to enjoy the outdoors or historical elements.

I met a girlfriend tonight for a cardio workout. We were really looking for the Mount Vernon Trail and the 1986 George Washington Parkway and it took us to a parking area adjacent to the Bridge Living. We found Jones Park and it's a wonderful place to bike, run, fish, picnic, sit out with your family, etc. some areas are under the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. Some of the park is woody, along the waterfront, and takes you in the direction of Old Town Alexandria. We walked about 2.5 miles then went to the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. It's definitely a great place to go for a park.

A nice park right along the Potomac River with a lot to offer the casual visitor This is a park located right below the I495 bridge and within walking distance to many other parks along the Potomac River. It has a large parking lot with over a hundred car parking spots right off Jone's Point Drive. You can find information about the park on the National Park Service (NPS) website. This park is right at the southernmost point and has a lot of real estate along the water. There is a walking trail to the north along the river with informational signs and displays that describe the sights along the trail. A 10-minute walk will bring you to other parks (Ford's Landing, Shipyard, and Roberdeaux) and eventually to Old Town Alexandria with its many shops situated along the water. The website states that the park offers a place for fishing piers, a canoe launch, two playgrounds (one for children under age five and one for children ages six to ten), two basketball courts, and multi-use fields. It was a very clean park and the path was well-paved and relatively smooth. It is a good place to park if you are planning to visit Old Town Alexandria and want an easy place to park and enjoy a walk along the river.

Located right off of the highway, the Jones Point Park is an ideal place for those looking to get some fresh air early on a Sunday morning before heading into Old Town Alexandria. We visited this park as a starting point for our Alexandria day, which was a great way to begin our time here. Get here early if you want to snag a spot right at the parking lot by the entrance of Jones Point Park. Otherwise, you're left to find parking along the street, which we witnessed some had done. On the weekends, it gets busy, so rise and shine. Jones Point Park has great views of the Potomac River and the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. The paved trail is great for biking, walking, taking a stroller, etc. There is a large deck area that looks out to the bridge where we saw that a wedding was taking place. Along the trail was a grass area and plenty of benches. We took this trail all the way to Old Town Alexandria, which was a nice walk and great way of seeing what's around the area. I can see why locals flock to this park for their morning routine or exercise.

I Absolutely LOVE this amazing park! Beautiful views, clean, cool spaces to workout - bike, run, walk, boot camp, etc. - all right on the Potomac river...just minutes outside of DC in Alexandria. Just a smidge south of old town....perfect place for lunch in the park, fishing, or just lounging around while gazing at nature's beauty

Who knew something so beautiful existed under the most random of locations! This has to be the best unknown, well maybe not so much now after this review place located so close to Old Towne Alexandria. I happened to be wondering around and actually ended up at this dead end road and the only option was a left into the park or a u turn as it was a deda end road. I got time, why not go explore, so I hooked a left into the park and lets just say I was pleasantly surprised. There is something here for everyone. A bikers roadway, literally, the lanes are marked and all for the bike riders to go get their Toure de Alexandria on, there are playgrounds for the kiddos, a basketball court and plenty of views no matter which way you go, left or right. If you walk far enough along the trail you will stumble across a lighthouse as well, imagine that as the backdrop for your next photo op. As you stroll along the path you can sloe see the MGM across the water as well of views of DC. The architecture of the underbelly of the bridge are breathtaking to say the least. You will never look at a bridge, at least the Woodrow Wilson the same. The park is patrolled by security as well so you can feel safe. Plenty of on site parking and the grounds are kept very clean. I can only imagine how beautiful this is at dusk, sunset and at night as the park stays open til 10 pm. Now that I know how incredible the daytime views are, I will be making my way back to catch the evening views.

It's so beautiful here. This park is right on the Potomac River so the views are amazing. If you are a plane spotter you have a great view of flights arriving at DCA. It's a great park for cyclists and I noticed a lot of pet owners with their furry friends. I go during the weekdays in the evenings and it isn't too packed. They also have basketball courts for anyone interested.

This is such an amazing park. They have a basketball court, picnic space, bike lanes , fishing spots, and beautiful water views. It is very clean and seems to be pretty safe. All we need is a tennis court. A great place to relax with kids and family. The bathrooms are pretty clean there as well.

Jones Point Park is an urban park under the overpass that is the Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge connecting Alexandria to the National Harbor in Maryland. The park is largely concrete but has excellent running/biking paths, a historic lighthouse, a playground, and beautiful river views.
