Warning:IF YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OF AND BELITTLED GO HERE! I had been here once before and since I was new to the area I thought I would take my dad there for Father's Day as a treat. What a mistake! They did the minimum on my father and charged him 16 for a manicure and 27 for a pedicure. And because I was paying I asked them why they charged so much? They all started speaking a different language and the man who was charging me said " just pay". I then told him to add tip and he began hollering at me, pointing at the price for the service. So I recently moved to Covina from LA, and so far this place is my FAVORITE. The owner has got to be the sweetest lady ever!!! I had to get my nails done one night after work, they were filthy plus I was going to meet some friends I havent seen in a while...yea emergency lol so I called to ask what time they closed and sadly I was about an hour & a half late nooooo but hold up... this lovely lady took me in anyway. Oh god was I thankful! So I walk into this very clean nail salon with stylish decor there was some pretty neat paintings on the walls which I had a chance to enjoy while she was working her magic. Oh & their is a beauty supply store right next door that she also owns I thought that was neat. They even sell $1 Nail polish, I Love Nail polish! They have a variety also & some pretty colors. LAST BUT NOT LEAST My nails came out gorgeous! ! She did them exactly how I asked, round & skinny, not pointy, more ovaly lol you'll see. she was such a perfectionist, I appreciated that so much. (Ive had very ugly experiences). She actually cared about my experience and obviously her work. Honestly shes a keeper! She had really neat nailpolish, she used some expensive gel type polish that still looks fresh! The colors were also great not tacky like at other nail salons.. this salon is also not your typical salon THEY DO EVERYTHING HERE. That makes it a GEM! I came in today around 6:20pm and waited less than 20 minutes. I was sat in a chair that was pretty comfortable. The lady that did my nails was nice and she talked me into getting an eggplant nail color rather than black which turned out great. I also let her put a design on my middle finger of each hand. I didn't show her a picture or tell her what I wanted, but she did a very nice design. I really liked how well she failed my nails and she get a great job. I have been coming here for the last ten years and I'm always happy with the care they take in doing my nails.

I've only been here twice, and while the ladies are very nice, both experiences were not the best. After my first visit, I got a horrible infection on my foot. A couple months later, and I thought I'd give them another chance. I made an appointment on Wednesday for a gel manicure and pedicure. I made sure to ask if they were available knowing it'd be busy the day before Thanksgiving, and he assured me they were. When I got there, I had to wait 20-30 minutes because they didn't have anyone available even though I made an appointment. I ended up being there for 2 hours. Completely ridiculous. I had so much to do and was only expecting it to take an hour as usual. But to make the whole thing worse, the waxing technician burned BOTH of my eyelids. It felt like she was using sandpaper to wax with. My eyes are blistering and peeling the next few days, and I had a huge work event to go to. Makeup wouldn't cover it, in fact it just made it look worse. This will definitely be the last time I come here. read more

My favorite nail salon! I come here every two weeks, religiously, never fails.. I get my nails done by Helen who is the absolute best!! I always call to make my appointment and just to make sure she is in because if she's not then I don't bother coming in. they remodeled the salon! It's bigger, they got more pedicure chairs , its even better than it was before! AND they have a beauty store that they own right next door and it literally has everything! From hair extensions , to makeup, to hair products. Literally everything. I recently moved back to LA, but I still make the stop whenever I can. Tina is just too amazing to let go of. Helen is great! My mom made an appointment for me, as I was visiting out of town, on Christmas eve. And boy were they busy! There was barely any where to sit down while you were waiting. I like how this place is close with their customers and eachother. While Helen was giving me a pedicure, a customer of hers came in and said hi. Helen and another employee immediately started to greet her and the other employee came rushing up to her with her phone. It looked like her son was on video chat. The customer proceeded to talk to the son, and it was obvious they had some sort of relationship, maybe teacher-student? Although this might have bothered some people that attention is being taken away from you while you're getting a service, I thought it was really cute! If I could give this place zero starts I would ! I used to go here a couple years back till the quality started to get cheap. Then I decided ok I'll give it another try I made an appointment to get a dip as this is a new service they offer. I had the gentleman name Tony do my dip , he said he has been doing dip for 4 years , which is a lie. My mom has been going here for 20+ years and said they've only recently started offering dip nails for a few months. The brand of dip is VERY cheap quality. I chose to have one finger done a holographic color , it costed me $5 more which I was ok with but with in 48 hours the color has started to come off. They used a clear gel coat that requires the UV light to dry. Which defeats the purpose of dip nails. I decided to go back to get my nails fixed and asked to have a different color done and I was charged $30 again. I chose to do all white. I am embarrassed in the way my nails look. They're very wide and uneven and go in different directions. DO NOT GO HERE FOR DIP ! IT IS CHEAP DIP POWDER AND DONE UNPROFESSIONALLY ! read more

I typically get my nails done at a different location but my nail technician is on vacation, so after seeing a young ladies nails I decided to give SKY Nails a try. I am a very very picky about my nails and if I do not like how they look I will let the person know and NEVER go to them again. I explained to the nail tech Chanel what I wanted and what I expected, and to my surprise she did an amazing job with fulfilling my request. ALL 10 of the designs were different ,what I asked for, on point ,and so beautiful. It's a nice One-Stop Shop. You can get your nails, hair & wax done for a reasonable price. The place is clean, they have 2 TV's mounted on the wall & air conditioner. Walk-ins are always welcome but don't expect quick service if you walk in without in appointment or on the weekend. They are always busy. Make sure you let them know if you are on a time crunch. If you don't have time to wait you might want to go early in the morning. But rest assured if you walk in late in the afternoon they will stay open later to finish what you need. The male manager was yelling at the nail tech that was giving me a pedicure and the other techs around us in their native language it was very awkward for the techs and not very relaxing for me. 2. When I was getting my eyebrows done the tech talked on her cell phone the entire time again not very relaxing. 4. Dont make fun of your customers when they ask for their nails very short because they work in an office and it makes things easier. Well at least that time it was in English. 3. The final straw was when I swear my nail tech and the tech next to her were talking about me and the state of my feet during my pedi cure. I just had my nails done by Helen and pedicure done by Lillie. The manager charged $40 & tipped $10. When I checked my bank account, I was charged $56 dollars. Afterwards, when I called to follow up, the man I spoke to was the rudest individual I have ever encountered. He told me the manager wasn't there and when I asked him prices he hung up on me. I called back and asked why he hung up and requested a breakdown of prices. He told me a fill was $15 and pedi was $17, I told him that I had gel on the fill and that they were cut shorter as well. He was SUPER RUDE!!!! When I asked for Helen he said she was busy and to "go talk to her myself" - REALLY?!? So instead of handing her the phone, he told me to go find her myself?? Seriously this place is a total joke!!!!! Btw my nails were just "ok" and Helen cut me twice and Lily cut me once.
