It's been over 7 months and Stephanie the owner just replied to my review of my horrible experience here at her salon. Also, just to lie on behalf of what happened. Darlene never walked me through the process at all, you were not there during that time. How can you speak on something you didn't witness? Previously, I didn't have a problem because I had virgin hair. This Isin't the first time, when I had my hair copper she never stripped the color and since I went with a bold magenta color it wasn't noticeable but the copper tones were still there. When I got a light pink money piece all my magenta stained my money piece on my first wash. I had also sent my aunt to get her hair done with her and all my aunt wanted was to go lighter and she was already a blonde and she stained her hair brown. She had to re do her hair and charged her for her mistake. I'll leave these messages here because you claim that DARLENE walked me through and offered to fix my hair but AT A COST. She was charging me for a product fee to ONLY strip the paint again and I was going to have to pay for another service to tone my hair etc. She left me on read and blocked me and that's why she lost me as a customer! read more

Gina has been my hair artist for almost a year now and I cannot be more happy! I followed her to Lair from her previous location. I will stick to her wherever she goes because she always knows just what I want my hair to look like:) Results have NEVER disappointed me whatsoever. Long overdue review! Lizet is my go-to for hair color and cut. Not only is she an absolute doll, she does a great job on my mostly gray, naturally curly hair. She knows how to cut it without cutting it too short which is always a concern with curly hair. Prior to seeing Lizet, I was having problems with hair color "sticking" to my hair or having good coverage on my root touch-up. I walk out with perfectly colored hair every single time! I seriously get compliments on my hair after my appointments with Lizet each time I go. No joke...even my neighbor with whom I normally don't chat commented this week on it which is why I felt compelled to write a review. Love, love, love what she does for me! As a side note, Stephani is also a gem! Lizet was going out of town, and without hesitation Steph stepped in so I could keep my regularly scheduled appointment (gotta keep those grays at bay!) while working around her own clients. She is also very professional and my color was matched perfectly. I have no problem seeing her when my usual stylist is busy. And there wasn't any of those awkward feelings that can sometimes occur when someone else takes over another person's client. It was a smooth transition. One of the things I adore about this salon is that it is a small business. There are three chairs for stylists inside. The conversations we have are fun and I don't feel rushed in any way. They are friendly and the atmosphere is casual. The stylists always ensure that I have something to drink...such as a refreshingly cold water on a hot day. I feel more like I am visiting with friends or family because they are so welcoming. Not pretentious at all. Plenty of parking is available in the back and most of their clients take advantage of entering from that lot rather than the street parking on Rowland. I know that Wendy does brows here too. Gina is my hairs holy grail. She keeps my blonde fresh and icy. She's honest and very talented. When I met Gina my hair was in the process of lightening with another stylist but just never got to the level I desired even with multiple sessions. All I could say was WOW. Wendy transformed my whole look in one 2 hour session! For years I have had issues with my thin eyebrows, and today I felt like a new person! Wendy is very friendly, and outgoing. I was able to relax and feel assured she knew what shape would look best with my face structure. Professional, and experienced, you can notice her natural passion in the results of her work. I dosed off most of the session and walked out with confidence I had lacked when walking in! I am infamous for spending way too much time on my eyebrow make-up every morning, to still not be satisfied with the results. I would lack symmetry or color them in too dark. I decided to visit the Artistic Liar after my Mother in law got her eyebrows micro-bladed by Wendy. Wendy will be the most enthusiastic and informative person you will ever meet .
