Our family has been coming here for about 6 months now and we continue to have good experiences with Sky Nail Spa's services and staff. We've done pedicures, manicures, and haircuts. My wife and I are regulars with Christine and my mother-in-law and mom have been in with some of the other staff. They keep the salon very clean and have Plexiglass shields between the customers and pedicurists, and the pedicurists still wear masks. The chairs are comfortable, with various back massage features. It's fairly large, so they can handle quite a few customers at once. We'll continue to be loyal customers. I recommend you give this salon a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

It's a little thing called Google translate and your staff should know better than to talk about people in such a rude manner and insulting manner. At those prices I would expect better and a more respectful atmosphere. $80 for sore fingers and uneven nails I wanted to like this place so badly--my cousin always leaves with a beautiful manicure. But manicures are different from acrylics, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I stopped in last Thursday after my regular nail salon was closed unexpectedly due to an emergency. I asked for a full set and a pedicure. The pedicure was actually great, My nails were trimmed perfectly, and the manicure work on my toes was flawless. Feeling optimistic, I moved to the chair for my full set. I requested a narrow almond shape. From the start, I noticed the tips glued on were too wide for my nail beds, but the tech assured me she'd file them down. Multiple times , I had to ask her to narrow them more--something I've never had to do with my regular tech. The acrylic application was where things really went downhill. She applied thick, uneven globs and left a significant gap between my cuticles and the acrylic. I assumed she'd fix this during filing, but instead of using an electric file from the start, she spent 30 minutes manually filing, leaving my nail beds sore. She then alternated between filing and buffing repeatedly, yet the nails still ended up uneven and poorly shaped at the edges. By this point, I was only a couple of hours from catching a flight, so I just let her finish. She offered to add chrome so I assumed it was complimentary--but it ended up being an extra charge. I paid $80 including tip for sore fingers, uneven nails, and a shape I didn't ask for. Within two days, the polish started chipping. One week later, a tip has completely broken off and another nail has chipped. I hate posting this because it's my cousin's favorite place, but my experience was terrible. I really enjoyed my pedicure Christine did. Perfect French tip with a gentle massage. My heels are always left so soft and I love how my legs feel after the exfoliating sugar scrub is washed off. This place has gone so downhill. I've been a loyal customer for years and I have looked the other way over a lot of issues! And I mean a lot! I've been going to the same nail people at this shop for quite a few years. Helen who is my nail technician, has had a terrible attitude with not only myself but with other customers that I have witnessed getting yelled at by her. She has on more than one occasion asked me to come in around her schedule and I tried to accommodate as best as I could. I always arrive at the time she wants but she keeps me waiting for no minimum of 30 minutes. What's worse is then I feel rushed. She's behind on schedule so she starts rushing through clients. Another thing that I don't like is whenever she is running behind she has her sister speak for her. I consider myself a generous Tipper and a very patient client. I understand how hard it is to work in the service industry as I did it for many years myself. Stopped by here on a whim to see if they could fix my disastrous manicure from a couple days ago at a different salon (Holly nails spa in Temple City) and Christine did an amazing job on correcting the horrible mess. She was able to take off the previous gel color that somehow warped into a disgusting yellow right afterwards and gave me an actual proper manicure that the previous person didn't. She buffed out and trimmed the cuticles the way I like them. There's also a wide variety of nail colors to choose from that other salons don't necessarily have available. Christine was real friendly, didn't mind that I asked to see four different colors, and helped me pick the best one. I decided on Dolce Pink (looks like pale pink). Four thin coats were applied to make the color pop. It turned out real nice and I left very satisfied. Too bad I don't live near by but I will definitely be visiting again when I'm back in the area. I've been meaning to write this review for two weeks! I walked in no appointment for a full set and pedicure I was seated almost right away, okay that's a good start. I was sat next to a young girl getting a full set also. She was talking to the guy that was doing her nails and asking the price difference between the lengths, she asked that he trim and shape one nail so she could look at it before deciding. The length wasn't right so he re did them for her she was questioning the prices again as he showed her the different lengths again. He then proceeded to yell at her I can't help you slammed his things down and walked away! I was dumbfounded I couldn't believe she didn't pack her stuff up and leave at that point. If I had more time I would of got up and left because of how uncomfortable it was. She then proceeding to wait another 30 mins for someone else to finish her nails! Now my experience was uncomfortable because of what was happening in front of me but the worst part. I asked for coffin shaped nails and I got nails that were shaped like bananas it was bad! The gel was chipping after two days and had bubbles ! I had to go pay someone else (century nails, 5 stars btw) to remove the bananas. I will never return! read more

Without an appointment (on a Monday, during the President's Day holiday), my daughter and I were both able to get a manicure and pedicure, and my husband was able to get a pedicure. They remembered me - even after taking nearly six month off of getting my nails done - and were as friendly as I always remembered them. Ignore the low reviews, and come here! The vast majority of low reviews were likely for reasons that could have easily been avoided if people bothered to use their brain (see my advice below) or avoided coming in with an attitude. Kindness and intelligence goes a long way! :) To those complaining, here is advice: 1) Shape: If you don't like the shape of your nails - tell them WHILE you are there and they are working on you; don't complain on Yelp later! Each nail tech that I have ever had (and I have had nearly 10 different people in my time going here) always asks if you like the shape, so use the voice the good Lord gave you, and tell them if you don't like it! It's not rocket science -- before they put the gel or color on, ask them to fix what you want fixed. 2) Chipping: If your nails are chipping quickly after, more than likely, it is because YOU are not taking care of them. Use kitchen gloves when you wash the dishes, and invest in dry shampoo so you don't wash your hair every day. Just like when you invest in your hair care, nail care is required for longevity. When I got nails regularly from here, I was able to go three weeks in between visits simply because I wasn't rough with them. If your nails are messed up after a few days or a week, likely it is because you jacked them up yourself! 3) Credit Card/ATM Fee: If you don't like an ATM fee (and you don't want to pay a dollar or two extra to use your card) get cash before. The 711 on Badillo and Vincent has an ATM that is free to use if you are part of a co-op network bank. Otherwise, it isn't complicated -- hit up your own bank and get cash before! read more

Well to start off, my mom and I had called prier to arriving and they had said they could take us in within 15-20 min. They proceed to seat my mom but I was waiting for about 30 min before actually being seated and waited an additional 10 min for them to actually start on my nails. 2 woman walked in after me and were helped on the spot. Once he finally starts on my nails, I let him know I wanted a basic white tip. He messes up and puts clear and until I told him I wanted white tip, he proceeded and removed them and stared over. I've never had trouble or too long of a wait time as a walk in, I've always been welcomed and accommodated. I'm never really particular about who does my nails because they all do a great job! The quality of the gel they use is one of the main reasons I come here. The coat is hardened which makes my nails feel stronger. It lasts for a long time, and doesn't peel off. She Asked Us What We Needed And Asked Us To Wait. After Like 15-20min They Called My Friend In And 5 Min Later It Was My Turn. Helen Was Very Nice And Gental. They Are Currently Remodeling The Place.
