I've been to Sky Nails a few times. Today they lowered their service significantly. My feet were in the water for about 45 seconds before they started working on my feet. I went because I have a rough patch on the back of my heel and the guys really work on that with a pumice stone. This tiny woman did nothing for it at all, no cuticle trimming, nothing. She only smeared this oil on my calves and massaged those up and down for about three minutes. I got only one layer of polish on my toes. It was 10 minutes max and it cost $36. I'll never go there again. read more

Disappointing experience. I took my husband and 4 year old for their first pedicures yesterday! I had called and made an appointment earlier in the week. When we arrived we were instructed to pick our polish colors then told to sit at some chairs. When they saw my daughter they tried telling me she couldn't receive a pedicure because she was "too little" so they only wanted to paint her nails and nothing else. I pushed back as she could reach the water tub and was looking forward to getting one. The women at this location speak VERY little English and are not very friendly. My daughter and I had an okay experience with our pedicures (although some steps were skipped completely on my daughter). It was pretty rushed and there was little attention to detail. This was my husband's first experience and while he loved being there with us, he was very uncomfortable with the lady who did his pedicure. She never made eye contact, did not clean the dirt under his nails, was extremely rough when filing his toe nails, and was not friendly. She began his pedicure way after ours and finished a good 10 minutes before us. It was very disappointing. He wanted his toes to match our daughter and they didn't even acknowledge us when we tried to ask them to paint his nails. **beware of what they're charging you** I was charged $86 for the three of us and only asked for basic pedicures. The lady did nail art on my daughter's toe without asking and then charged me for it. We also got charged for the premium service when what we had received was rushed, and made us feel like we were an inconvenience. My husband has told me he won't be getting another pedicure because his toenails ache the day after and it was so uncomfortable. What a shame. read more

I had Dee Dee for my nails. She did a great job, was easy to talk to and friendly. People have given reviews saying it isn't great customer service but I find it isn't so crowded and crammed in space. There aren't 10 to twenty people working, sign in machines, etc and it isn't as spendthrift as other places. This is my go-to nail shop. A solid choice. I recommend a powder dipped mani. Price: They are competitively priced and have never turned me away even when I'm with a group of 2-3. Atmosphere: ...typical Vietnamese owned shop! LOL-its clean and they typically play spa-esque music. Tips: I really like Tam. He's hilarious. Generally, they do great powder dip nails (more durable than acrylic and gel) and they put a protective base on that helps prevent my nail bed from getting overly damaged. read more

I went to Sky Nails for the first time today. I usually go with gel but Jason convinced me to get dipping powder. I was super super nervous about that but I gave it a shot anyway. The result was so beautiful! The color was just right, shiny coating on top, feel super light. See my picture ;) A few things I love about Sky Nails: -They have large selection of colors. You can get them in gel, regular nails polish, or dipping powder. To me that's a huge plus because I can mix and match easily. -Love the space there. Large window and blue wall feel super relaxing. -The service is phenomenal. They really take time to make sure you have a good time. I will come back. Honestly this place is pretty dang awesome from my experience. I came to get some acrylics and was not disappointed. DUC is a HOMIE. He took my busted and crusted hands and made them look fabulous. His shaping was impeccable. I've read some reviews that spoke negatively on not getting enough time or attention. My guess is that they probably went during a very busy Saturday. I went to Sky Nails in Highland Utah for the first time today. I had to change an appointment due to scheduling issues, and they accommodated immediately. A very cool young man 'K' did my nails and toes. He was very good and very fast as he had noted my need to hurry. I LOVE MY NAILS. 'K' made sure I approved the length and took suggestions very well. 'K' also did my nails much thinner than the last two times (from another shop). I realize there is a risk of them breaking easier, but I really like them. I love this place! I've been going here since they opened and they do an amazing job! They are super fast and my nails always look fabulous! The salon is always clean and nice. I love Ann, she always takes care of me and is so friendly and sweet! She even uses a special kind of base coat with my shellac on my nails because they are super thin and they last forever. This place is incredible, I went with my mom this morning and I have never been so happy with my nails. I'm pretty sure the lady I had was the owner, she was one of the nicest nail artists I have ever meet. She asked me if I wanted to do a design even though I did say no I think it would have turned out amazing. The shape I asked for is just like the one I got. It's almost like she read my mind, and before she did anything she would double check with me seeing if it was alright. Not only that but I went in and out so quick, She was able to do it in 45 mins. It's hit or miss.... Sometimes my manicures are trash and chip within days. But the pedicures are usually not bad. I don't have very high expectations for walk in nail salons. If you get your service done by Tin, you are in good hands. He is my buddy. He remembered me even when I came back from college. He's adorable. If you're desperate coming here will probably work.... I love this place! I've been to many nail salons who just rush through pedicures.i usually get the same guy doing mine, he gives me at least a 5- 10 minute massage with hot stones and oil. It is heavenly and no other place I've been to has massaged me so thoroughly. Let's be honest, the massage is really all I get pedicures for. They have never once treated badly or rushed through. She then threw down her tools and was cold the entire time. I told her I wanted the nails long and she cut them short. I told her I wanted square and she filed them round. The first time DeeDee did my nails they were perfect and beautiful (acrylic). The next time she did a terrible job, as I sat there getting them done it got very busy and she rushed. I thought I'd give it one more try. The third was the worst! I asked to soak off but she insisted I'd like it better to do a fill. My nails looked awful. My real nails pulled away within days and looks dirty from the start. She also grinned ridges into my nails. So disappointing! My daughter ask so had gone there to take off her acrylic nails to get gel polish. We asked to soak off and the girl just ripped them off saying she didn't need to soak. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN. I came in to get a pedicure because my favorite nail salon across the street was super packed and I was going out of town that night. Surprisingly, I ran into a friend of mine there as well. She told me that she came here because our favorite salon was busy. They rushed my pedicure and didn't even give me a foot massage. I felt like it was too expensive for that quick of a job. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. To make things even worse, the friend that I ran into at the salon had to get her toenail REMOVED. Ask for a male technician. One of the ladies here gives lumpy, round, rushed, uneven, awful manicures. Truly the WORST I have ever seen. I was so embarrassed that I brought a good friend here and she left with a lighter wallet and work that needed to be done on her nails. Yuck, yuck, yuck. If you don't like what you do, free yourself and find something that you're good at and makes you happy. Everyone will be better off. I'd avoid this place like the plague. Good thing I had a gift card because I wouldn't pay to go here. Spa pedicure was probably 15 minutes total and the lady got up and walked around and ate during the middle of my appointment, didn't say a word to me. I brought my 5 yr old who sat quietly nearby and she seemed annoyed. She kept getting after her for wiggling while she painted her toes and she usually sits very still. When I went to pay the lady who did my nails asked for a tip (She didn't deserve one but I paid 10%) Apparently it wasn't enough because she asked three more times, say loudly, "Tip? Tip?" I was rather annoyed. They collected the hot towels from other stations where they wipe the oil from your legs, dumped them in the sink where everyone washes their hands, turned on the water and wrung them out and then put them back in the warmer! read more

I got a pedicure here several weeks ago and was very pleased so I booked a manicure for this morning. Being a Saturday, I knew it would be busy but I had an appt. I waited 15 min. , then asked how much longer it would be. I was told 15-20 more minutes! Nope, I'm not waiting 30 minutes when I had an appointment. The guy apologized profusely and said they were short on help and a customer had come in late. The salon policy should be if someone is late, they should have to reschedule or wait. The person who is on time shouldn't be punished. The owner is very nice and said when I got my pedicure that business was slow due to Co-Vid. I've gone here for about 2 years and have gotten regular mani pedis and they do an awesome job, but today I went to get a full set of acrylics and I wish I was happier with the end result. Some of my acrylic nails are crooked, while filing my nails they tore my skin, and the tips of the nails aren't fully painted over and you can see the unpainted acrylic. So if you like your nails perfect, this isn't the place. read more

The last two times I visited to Salt Lake City I have taken my granddaughters ages 10 11 and 12 to this salon for manicures and pedicures. The manager is always so nice to us. I always feel like I'm getting a great deal here. And the girls always have a great experience. I have read other reviews stating that people are rude but it is the exact opposite. I think some people just look for excuses to complain but I can't believe that you would have that issue at Sky Nails or at least at this location, in Highland, UT. read more

I've had probably a dozen pedicures from the ladies at Sky Nails and I'm a happy customer. The scrub and hot rocks massage feel great, and I've never had problems with the color chipping over time. The prices are reasonable as well. And when I bring my daughter in with me they are very accommodating and she loves having her toenails done here. I'll be back! read more

Interesting experience... the pedicure was pretty standard, but at the beginning when I went to choose my toenail polish color, I selected one I wanted and brought it to my technician. She told me the color would look bad on me and had me choose another one. It made me laugh... but I will probably not go back. read more

I really wanted to get my nails done for our vacation trips. When I got my nails (acrylic style) done the lady didn't bother to cut my own nails short.. she rushed through the entire process and was kinda rude. She also glued my nails and skin together. And she got glue all over my fingers and didn't bother to clean them off. I wanted the pink/white and she didn't fill the white part on my nails.. she also didn't buffer underneath so the looked awful underneath.. Awful service! I will not be going back again.. read more
