I picked another one and the girl wrapped it up nice, put it in a really cute bag and assured me that we could bring it back and exchange it if we wanted to. He did want to exchange it so he went in and exchanged it for another and picked one up for me. The same lady helped him that helped me and even though they were still out of stock on the one he really wanted he picked out another one and she took down all of his information and called him when they got in stock and held it. We never go to Austin without stopping in there and picking up something new. They always give great service and have an excellent selection of hats ranging from western to trucker. Oh, and they also have hat accessories like pins and feathers! Everything you need for your headwear.

I'm not sure if the gentleman who checked me out was the owner or a regular employee. Regardless, he did not have a friendly disposition when checking me out. (I am a woman of color for reference) he didn't even greet me which is a simple courtesy. I had to ask him "hey, how are you today" to which he didn't respond and just told me the balance I owed. My fellow friend (white male) checked out right after me and he greeted him! He also asked him how he wanted his items wrapped. (We both had the same items) If the store itself wasn't so nice and full of good merchandise/gifts I would've given it an even lower rating. The store was absolutely packed, yet there were still plenty of well trained staff helping customers. We didn't have to wait at all for assistance, which was great. We found a hat that was very close to what we were looking for, had it fitted, and it turned out great. After we made our purchase, they even took us over to their bar for a celebratory shot of whiskey. I love the poker playing raccoons!
