I picked another one and the girl wrapped it up nice, put it in a really cute bag and assured me that we could bring it back and exchange it if we wanted to. He did want to exchange it so he went in and exchanged it for another and picked one up for me. The same lady helped him that helped me and even though they were still out of stock on the one he really wanted he picked out another one and she took down all of his information and called him when they got in stock and held it. We never go to Austin without stopping in there and picking up something new. They always give great service and have an excellent selection of hats ranging from western to trucker. Oh, and they also have hat accessories like pins and feathers! Everything you need for your headwear.

(I am a woman of color for reference) he didn't even greet me which is a simple courtesy. I had to ask him "hey, how are you today" to which he didn't respond and just told me the balance I owed. My fellow friend (white male) checked out right after me and he greeted him! He also asked him how he wanted his items wrapped. We stopped in today, 9/19/26 for the first time in about a year. My boyfriend was looking for a new pair of boots and he found just what he was looking for. It was nice because (like always) there was no pressure to buy anything and the sales staff go out of their way to assist and accommodate you. They also do an incredible job of making sure the boots fit properly. We've had some instances at other shops close by where the staff aren't always helpful with proper fittings. Here, it's spot on. Quality and care is what you get at Allens making it easy to see why they've been in business for decades.
