Was just in ATX last weekend. Googled places to make a custom cowboy hat.. (at the time I thought I wanted one). Arrived at this adorable shop called Longhorn Fashions. They had a wide variety of really cute stuff. Clothing, jewelry, wine stoppers, and an area of cowboy hats! I ended up choosing a more beach vibe cowboy hat! I didn't end up personalizing it. It only cost $50. The woman working was super sweets she gave my friend and I recommendations on where to go get the best espresso martini in town and things to do! 10/10 would go back if ever in Austin again! read more

I encountered Longhorn Fashions at a private event held at the ACL Live, aka The Moody Theater. They were custom trimming cowboy hats for the patrons. This inspired me to take my daughter there for her birthday. She loves to two-step, so I thought a smart hat was in order. The owner is very attentive and helped us select the trims, and made suggestions on embellishing the hat. My daughter was so happy with the result. Need to get her to send me a picture. Love love loved this boutique! I booked a hat party for some friends and I and we had so much fun! Their hat selection is great with so many colors and a variety of accessories to add to them. The girls were so sweet and super helpful in accommodating us going in before the store opened (just a heads up they do charge an extra fee by the hour if it's before/after business hours). There were a lot of us, 14 total, so we ended up hiring an extra hat designer to help us as well. This is a "diy" style place but we loved having the option to hire extra help if needed. They let you you bring in small snacks and drinks too...our mimosas made everything so much more fun! As far as the the clothing and other merch goes, they have a lot of burnt orange stuff (because they're located near UT) but it's not all "school gear," they have a bunch of options for cute everyday outfits! Most of my friends did not leave empty handed clothes-wise that's for sure :) I already have my second hat party booked for when my family comes to visit from out of state next month and I couldn't be more excited! I highly recommend this spot for group activities or even if you just need a little Texas style gear for yourself they allow walk ins to design your own hat too. Seriously, do not hesitate to book your party but make sure you book waaay in advance because they get booked quick! read more

This was over three weeks ago now...no update as to why it still say under status "awaiting fulfillment"....called the store which wasn't any help as they directed me to Tessie Watson...no response to my email to cancel the order about 5 days ago. In the days of 90% of companies shipping out their goods within days, waiting a month+ for an order to even ship is unacceptable and rude to not let your client know what the deal is. I would consider myself pretty reasonable, but that's not good business. read more

I've always adored the jewelry and clothes on the website and was happy to learn that they now have a brick and mortar! They had a trailer, Trendy Trailer, but I guess I missed that memo. I went in today and everybody on the staff was incredibly welcoming and kind! I ended up leaving with a burnt orange scarf and a silver Texas necklace. I wanted a gold one and the owner informed me that they had recalled it because the quality wasn't high enough. She said that she would have a new one to sell this next week that is much better. The fact that she listens to and cares about her customers and was generous enough to alter her inventory to fit their needs is incredible! The prices are a little high, but again, it's a boutique so it's expected. In comparison to other stores like this though, this is a little better. This is an adorable little Longhorn boutique in West Campus with GREAT service! I will definitely be stopping by anytime I need to my Longhorn/burnt orange fix! Tessie is clearly passionate about her school pride and providing a great shopping experience for all of Austin, both on and off campus. I loved all the attention I had when shopping. Tessie wasn't afraid to suggest that I size up to be more comfortable in a dress. Every time I wear the dress I know how right she was and it is so appreciated! But I love Austin and cute boutiques, which is why I decided to check it out. It only took a few minutes to see everything there was to see. I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS LITTLE BOUTIQUE!! I love coming in to shop here for gameday and for just about any other occasion :) The prices are also very reasonable for the quality of the clothing. The shop owner is the sweetest person I've met, and the customer service here is top notch! I purchased 3 dresses here earlier today, but one of them had a damaged zipper. I had thought about not buying It, but the dress was just way too cute for me to pass up that I told her would be taking it anyway and that I'd just purchase another zipper and have it replaced. Because of that , she gave me a 30% DISCOUNT on the dress to help cover the cost for purchasing a new zipper and taking it in to be replaced. I was extremely happy and in awe because I have been to stores like nordstrom rack or tj maxx where they have refused to offer a 20-30% discount on an outfit with something like a damaged zipper. About the boutique: It's just a great vibe in the store - not that stuffy/uppity feeling you can get from other places around town. Aside from that, the prices are pretty awesome. The price tag range spans the distance(did I make that up?), which means there is something for every price point. Blouses, bralettes, accessories(so many accessories!!!), skirts, the list goes on. I have gotten stuff to wear to weddings, sporting events, during retail therapy, you name it! All was very affordable and I still get compliments from things I got years ago - ego boosts come free of charge with purchase! Found this gem of a boutique on Instagram as a recent alumni. Worth the 30 minute trip north every time! I always end up with a ton of both game day AND everyday affordable finds.
