One of my dogs is especially shy and nervous about new things but Catherine is also a dog trainer, so she knew how to handle her and make her feel at ease. The place was clean and organized. The price was also very reasonable. My dogs weigh about 40-45lbs each and they could fit very comfortably in the same kennel, which was easier on my wallet. I wish I had found Catherine sooner but from now on, this will be my go-to place for my dog boarding needs!

At that time she was using Paws in Heaven, a pet crematorium and cemetery in Canyon Lake for the remains. After my best friend, Wonton passed away during surgery done by a negligent Vet at a different practice in Austin (check my other reviews) This WAS NOT something I thought I would ever feel comfortable doing for my dog again. But then came Draco Malfoy ... As a bulldog owner & lover, you go into it knowing this breed is VERY high maintenance and demanding but also rewarding. For a second time I was faced with the almost inevitable, breathing issues. We felt we have a responsibility to try to give him the best quality of life possible as bulldog paw-rents. (Even if I was an absolute traumatized wreck all day) **The Staff at PAZ Veterinary and Dr. Might of Austin MVS were absolutely amazing in this process. They answered all of my "over-protective-dog-mama" questions & concerns and calmed my nerves just enough for me to let this surgery happen. Dr. Might even called me before the surgery to talk to me about what happened to my dog that had passed away during this same surgery and let me know he would do everything he could so this wouldn't happen to Draco. I also was told after the surgery that someone from PAZ stayed with him during his ENTIRE recovery to make sure he was ok every second!! How awesome is that?! NOW 8Months Later: Fast Forward to now- 8 MONTHS LATER!!!! He's breathing fantastically! We even joke about his nose sounding like a a wind storm because of how clearly he can breathe. Starting June of 2022 my male cat Hammy started having difficulties urinating. I took him to the…read moreemergency vet two time thinking he was blocked only to be sent home saying he wasn't and the test came back normal. We were told he has feline idiopathic cystitis, and there is really no known cure or treatment for it. We started him on medication for stress and to relax his bladder as well and a special urinary diet. We ran every test for infections, stones and disease all coming back normal, but he was still straining and crying when trying to urinate. Surgery was the last step for us and boy I wish we would have done it first. In January of 2023 we had the surgery with Dr. Key who runs with Mobile vet. Hammy was going to go in for a PU surgery. The day of we dropped him off at our regular vet. And with in two hours Dr Key call saying hammy was next and to walk through what was going to happen in the surgery. And an hour later he call back that he was finished and everything was a success and went over post-op care. He also left contact information if needed during recovery. I did contacts him once it was a Sunday, he got back to me that day and was able to discuss my concerns. Hammy had done great after the surgery. Recovery was long but that is to be expected the with this surgery. But he has had no urinary issue since and Is completely back to himself. I highly recommend these Doctors. Dr Key from my personal experience, and from seeing Dr Allman preform surgery that the clinic I used to work at.

Jen came highly recommended by a close friend who knew Jen from her work with a local shelter. What I signed up for was a great dog walker. What I got was that and so much more! My dogs are a bit neurotic, I must admit. They dislike bikes, squirrels, cats and other dogs. I was a nervous have someone else walk them but I was very reassured by Jen's experience with difficult dogs. She met with me and met my pups beforehand as well to make sure it was a good fit. To say hiring Jen and Lotus to help me with my dogs was one of the best things I ever did for them may sound like an exaggeration, but it is not. They are so happy when I get home and are much, much better on leash now and are less reactive on walks. Jen also basically crate trained one of my dogs, who previously hated his crate! Now I catch him hanging out in there on his own. I can't recommend Jen enough. What you get with her services is not only dog walking but someone who truly cares about your pups. Plus her billing is easy and straightforward. I even get photos of my dogs from each visit :) In short, my dogs are more happy at the end of the day because of her!

We love Train My Dogs! Don't be scared away by the price -- TMD is more expensive than other doggie…read moredaycares in Austin, but the extra training they provide is well worth it! Our dogs always come home tuckered out, socialized, and a little better behaved than they were before. TMD is limited to 24 dogs a day, which is quite small and allows the trainers to spend a lot of one-on-one time with your fur baby. Dogs are rotated inside and outside throughout the day and receive both group and individual (!!) training. The trainers show you how to continue reinforcing training at home. It's called "Day School" for a reason! TMD has been incredibly helpful for both my dogs, who have polar opposite personalities. Bonham is rambunctious and bossy and loves everyone and everything. We adopted him as a puppy, and TMD helped us teach him basic manners and tricks like sitting, laying down, waiting at doors, etc. Bluebell, on the other hand, was super fearful of new people and situations when we first adopted her. Thanks to TMD's patient attention, she's totally come out of her scaredy-pants shell. Her new favorite thing is going for walks, which terrified her when we first brought her home! The location is also super convenient to drop dogs off on the way to work if you live south and work downtown. Ultimately we've had to stop bringing the dogs regularly because of a job change that often keeps my commute from lining up with pickup/dropoff times. Today was the second time that our golden came home with a gash on his face. This time it's bad…read moreenough that I'm sitting in the lobby of an emergency vet to get him cleaned up and stitches up. In both instances our dog was injured because a staff member ignored him while he was in their kennel. He heard me at the door and got excited. Like all dogs. But instead of trying to get him calmed down or out of the kennel all together. Instead he's now getting about a dozen stitches. The owner wasn't there at the time. She called and told me that they should have him come in any more. IN OTHER WORDS...ITS THE DOGS FAULT! Are you kidding me. DO NOT bring your pet to Train My Dogs! Period RESPONSE TO OWNER WOW! So if I understand what you're trying to say, this is our fault for continuing to bring him there. If he did pass your "test" you should have said so day one. Don't try and excuse your mistakes by saying you took Walle in in spite of risks. That's not only one of the dumbest things I've ever heard, but it clearly shows you wont claim ANY RESPONSIBILITY for the fact that your staff knew of the risk and ignored it. Stop trying to make yourself feel better at our expense.

We were recommended to Dr. Weinstein by our primary vet. From the first moment we met with him, I knew we were in good hands. He explained everything thoroughly and even caught a heart arrythmia before getting surgery. The cardiology team was able to stabilize her heart and were SO communicative during the entire process. Dr. Weinstein provided us with resources to help with funding, let us know he was always available via email, and truly made a super scary situation feel less scary. Fast forward to her surgery day, the nurse, Travis, made us feel so comfortable dropping her off letting us know he would be with her until 6 PM and answered my 100 million questions. Her surgery was so quick and Dr. Weinstein then called us again with an update on how it went. That night we received an update text message from the nurses Jessica and Travis with a picture of our girl. When picking her up, Fame gave us an incredible rundown of how everything went, very clear instructions on how to take care of Sadie post op, and once again, answered my 100 million questions with patience. We even got a hand painted bag all the nurses signed and a little stuffed toy. I truly cannot thank this team enough for not only their exceptional care but the customer service aspect as well. It is heartbreaking to hear your dog has cancer, but this team truly goes above and beyond to make it as painless as possible. Thank you all so much. We are so thankful for you all!

My pup underwent radiation treatment initially back in December 2025 and they not only the most economical option I came across regarding treatment with an oncologist, but the level of care for my pet....the customer service was extremely on point. And the treatment worked! Unfortunately, remission only lasts so long and I went right back to them to inquire about following up and I was taken care of immediately and with the same level of care I experienced previously. I've read some negative notices on this thread and I don't discount anyone's previous experience. This is a business that has to deal with extremely sensitive situations and very sensitive times in people's lives and largely, insurance doesn't cover what we need for our pets. I'm fortunate enough to have the means to cover the expenses, but what I will say is VCA was extremely accomodating to my circumstances when other oncologists I approached definitely treated me as a cash grab. I usually don't write reviews, but felt compelled to put in a good word to support a local business as is typical here in Austin. When I see good people doing good work, especially during a time of hardship for me, I'll do what I can to spread the good word. Thanks again to the team at VCA for taking care of my pup and giving her an extension to her life, I'm forever grateful for your work and efforts.
