Gather around, children, while ol' MeeMaw tells you about the hot summer afternoons back in the day, when we would end up at the old Ski Shores after a day of skiing in Lake Austin. Well, the place has changed with lots of upgrades, but the hamburgers are just as satisfying and the ambiance is still Lake Austin cool. We spent a couple of quiet hours there, people watching and enjoying the pretty day. Service was quick and with a smile. And the crowd there was just as chill as I remembered.

Big summer camp vibes. So cute and the views are lovely, you can sit right up to the water. Mixed advice on whether you can swim, but the waitstaff say yes so I take their word for it. I didn't see anyone swimming, but it's possible that people do at less busy times. The food is very standard, you're really there for the environment. But pricing wasn't too bad.

Highly recommend!! Absolutely stunning location on the water, the patio is massive, great area to host a big friend group. Start was friendly, courteous! Food was delicious. 10/10!!

Great little spot on lake Austin for cocktails and food. It's the perfect pit stop leaving Emma long park. Had burgers, fries and pina colada's. All satisfied me after a day on the lake. It's nice to sit on the water and enjoy life. This is a great place to do that.

Great service, location and the food was so good! Prices were high but the ambiance and view made up for it. Burger was tasty, salads were super fresh, the seafood was delicious and sitting outside in the shade made dir an ideal afternoon lunch.

Despite others, I actually liked that we ordered through the QR code. I liked being able to order what we wanted when we wanted it and didn't have to wait for the server. My food always comes out last so this time it came out first! It is very pricey but it's also delicious. I got the fried shrimp with an extra tartar and the fried pickles. I liked that the pickles were rounds and not spears. The only thing that could use some work is the bathroom. Only two stalls for the women. Make more stalls. Overall the restaurant is really nice. Order the pina colada with a dark rum floater. So yummy.

Very cute cafe on lake austin. they stop serving brunch at 11am and their lunch menu is mainly burgers and tacos. the frozen margaritas were very good and refreshing on a hot summer day. we showed up around 1230, and parking was a mess so get ready to waiting around. service was pretty much self serve, you order online and they deliver your food/drinks as you order. would recommend this place, it's definitely different from anywhere ive been to before.

Food came out super scattered. Service wasn't great. Waters came out slow but there isn't an option to order them on the online purchase from what I can see. Food is mid. Don't get the shrimp tacos even the people that left behind us didn't eat theirs. Cute environment though

Great spot! I mean let's be honest, it was a gorgeous day, but that aside it's a great location on the "lake". Seriously cool vintage vibes as it was opened in 1954. The service is very attentive and prompt. I had a mixed cocktail off the signature menu. Well mixed and delicious. They used a LOT of ice so there was not too much drink. At $16 it was a bit disappointing. Next I just ordered a glass of Rosè. That was a normal pour. I also ordered a protein bowl with both seared tuna and grilled shrimp. That was great! Substantial portion and very tasty. I took over half home. I love this spot and will visit more often. Pretty drive up the hill and down to the "lake" to get there. It gets pretty busy with boats and folks so I go in the middle of the week.

Ordered the rootbeer float, niña colada, ahi tuna tostadas, and la piña tocino burger. Although pricy, the food was excellent and came out quickly. Only wish the serving size was larger. My favorite part about visiting was the beautiful scenery, the river, and open space. Food was serviced through a QR-code, so could order whenever interested. Enjoyed my time here, would come again.

It was okay; decor is quite old inside where we ate. Did go out onto the patio to look after which was nice but busy. Very pricy for what you get and small portion so had to order hash brown as side because I was hungry.

Nice cool spot to come by boat

Been here so many times over the years. Views and service generally good. Today the service was terrible though. My breakfast burrito took forever, at least 15 minutes after everyone else's breakfast order. I was told these "take longer" and if i didn't like the service to "take it up with the owners". I would advise anyone to avoid tipping in advance here on their terrible app.

Fantastically local for families if you're looking for a lakeside cafe in the beautiful hills of Austin, dine no further!! Just the winding drive on the 2222 alone is beautiful and will have you anticipating the yummy meal that waits for you. A little pricy for fish tacos, but you are getting quality flounder and not frozen tilapia or the like. It's a great place to watch the boats and riders going by. Pickleball court is a bonus!! First come first serve, no court reservations required OR accepted

It's been on our…read moreradar for quite some time, and with my brother in town, we decided to give it a try on a Tuesday night. It was quite busy when we arrived, which immediately set a good mood. The energy inside was great, the decor is beautiful, and the whole space gives off 1920s Great Gatsby vibes. The bar scene looked lively, and plenty of guests seemed to be enjoying themselves. We were offered seating on one of the couches near the entrance but chose a more private table instead. Our server was pleasant and kind, though he appeared new. A few small things were missed. Our appetizer plates sat on the table for about 15 to 20 minutes before being cleared, and fresh utensils were not brought out. The wait time for drinks, appetizers, and our main courses was quite long. It felt like we were there close to two hours, with about 30 to 45 minutes between each course. I arrived starving, and unfortunately the long waits made me cranky and impatient and started to affect my appetite. When our drinks finally arrived, I ordered the seasonal apple cider margarita. I was hoping it would be festive and delicious, but it turned out to be very tangy and bitter and not quite the cozy, fall-inspired drink I had expected. My husband and brother did enjoy their drinks, though. The pork belly appetizer, which came highly recommended, was a mixed experience. I would give it a 10 out of 10 for flavor but a 5 out of 10 for texture. The burnt end was extremely tough to cut through, even with effort, and my knife was not strong enough. While it did taste good, it was not the most tender pork belly I have had. I have had versions that truly melt in your mouth, and this one was much chewier. The fried shrimp appetizer was a solid 7 out of 10. It tasted good, but it did not stand out or wow me. The presentation set higher expectations for the flavor than what came through, and the sauce did not feel particularly unique. For my entree, I ordered the hamburger. It was good and well prepared, but nothing especially memorable, just a solid, classic burger. My brother ordered the fish sandwich and absolutely loved his. We had the chance to speak with the owner, who was very kind and friendly. He is clearly passionate about his restaurant and genuinely wants to continue making it better, which I truly appreciate. I am glad we finally made it in to try The Gramercy. Overall, I would be willing to come back. I think it would be a great spot for weekday drinks, appetizers, or brunch, especially during a busy work week. And I love that it is open late until 12 a.m., which is not very common in Lakeway.

I started with pomegranate juice (which I love for its health benefits), and then ordered one of their unique enchilada dishes served with clove rice. The flavors were bold and different in the best way. Now let's talk about the chicken wings -- because as many of you know, I'm very particular about my wings. These did not disappoint. They weren't overly spicy, which I appreciated, but they had a perfect balance of chili powder and paprika that gave them a delicious depth of flavor. They were cooked to perfection -- tender inside with just the right texture on the outside. Absolutely delicious. That's exactly why I'm giving Nasha a 5-star review. I will definitely be coming back for those wings alone. If you want to impress someone or try something with a different and creative menu, this is the place. I highly recommend!!

An hour ago it wasn't raining, but now it's pouring. A few months ago, I heard of a newer bar and experience called Equipment Room just right off of South Congress. Music means everything to me. Nothing can express emotions and instill a feeling in 3 minutes like a song can. I live for that. Equipment Room is inherently Japanese in concept. Existing in Japan for over 50 years, listening bars combine high fidelity audio equipment with impressively crafted cocktails and alcohol combining the passion of music in a space to gather with comfortable chairs and a beautiful atmosphere. The concept has expanded westward as all cool things inevitably do, but I would never think a spot would be successful in Austin like it would be in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and so on. As I back my car into a parking spot on South Congress, I grab the umbrella out of my trunk and walk my girlfriend and me to the entrance trying to not get ourselves soaked in the process. This is not the first time we have tried to go to Equipment Room. We tried to get a walk-in table just to see out of morbid curiosity and that was a failure. I booked her and me a table for this night and I was madly looking forward to it. As we got to the small entrance, we were introduced to the hostess who brought us from the stairs into the main underground space and to our seats on the couch in a large wraparound sofa with other parties sitting near us. The music is faint from the entrance, but once you walk through the main walkway, a wave of sound hits your eardrums. You're immediately engrossed into the music like walking into a concert hall or putting a fresh pair of headphones on for the first time. As we sat down, selections from Outkast's Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik were playing through the speakers. Our hostess introduced us to their "User Manual" (their menu) where it contained all the snacks and drinks you could get your grubby hands on. There's more than just drinks and food on the menu. The first page introduces the concept and gives a few house rules. The second page shows all the equipment this so-called room has, from the premium Klipsch speakers, their preamps and amplifiers as well as their turntables and mixers. It's a dream page for music nerds. I want a $15k speaker in my apartment, but those noise complaints would never end. Our waitress came by shortly to give us water and take our order. Their menu is quite expansive, but the main pages we were told to check out were their A-side drinks or the classics and their B-side drinks, which are more experimental. We had to go with experimental for starters because who knows when you'll get to try something similar again. I started with a Goca Dünya while my girlfriend ordered a Deceptacon. The Goca Dünya was a vodka based floral drink with pistachio foam and Amaro Nonino, an Italian herbal liqueur. The Deceptacon was a rum-based cacao drink with a touch of lime and mint. It took a little time for our drinks to come out, clearly, as they are quite intricate. I loved my drink, bluntly. The pistachio foam was a great balance to the herbal flavors at the bottom. My girlfriend and I continued to enjoy each other's company as the music continued. The space we were in was decorated with posters and memorabilia from legendary artists coming through Austin and some general music decor like that purple album from that Prince guy. The DJ-curator that night was on a tear playing incredible soul music holding the bar hostage with a taste of funk. Jimmy Smith came next before transitioning to a few tracks from Bobbie Gentry. The last albums he pulled out were Steely Dan's Aja (a stone cold classic) and Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life (a top 10 album of all time). Not only was he playing classics like Isn't She Lovely, but he threw down some deeper cuts like Black Man and Contusion. Incredible. We both got another drink with my girlfriend getting their A-Side Espresso Martini while I got the Brown Sugar from their B-Sides. It was a seaweed and mushroom infused whiskey with a few more bells and whistles and it was super unique. Quite a bit of their menu is Japanese-inspired in homage to the originators of listening bars. This includes Japanese beer, sake, and Japanese-inspired food and beverages on their menu. Very cool. The worst part of the night came when our hour and 45 minute reservation came to a close. I could've stayed there for another 3 hours and never grown tired, but with how popular this space has become, they gotta kick you out at some point. This is an experience you have to have. It's worth it. I'll be strolling back in soon enough because there is nothing like this in Austin and it's truly a special space. RIYL: Actively listening to music.

It brings a feeling of noir and romance with even sexier drinks. Being seated in one of the nooks is my favorite and just really adds to the overall experience. If you follow my reviews then you know I often refer to excellent cocktails as liquid works of art. And, in this case, it's like the most exclusive, high-end art gallery of liquid masterpieces. Cocktails with branded cubes, top tier alcohol and other ingredients from around the globe make for a worthy piece of drinkable art. It doesn't end with cocktails! The mocktails are equally as beautiful and delicious. I highly recommend the cocktails and mocktails. Service is exactly what you would expect and want it to be in this environment. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than average but you're paying for art, atmosphere, and experience that is beyond wonderful.

My group was given two boats for a very roomy experience with canopies for lots of shade if desired (but these were pulled back at night to enjoy the stars), there was even shaded areas on the lake (if you want to sip a cocktail with the boat shading you) on a lillypad to float if desired. The lake breeze and the wind as the boats cruised make it completely cool both on the lake and on the floating tavern. A rental of time at Floating Tavern is completely an experience that feels like you are out of the United States. It is so exotic! They cater your day totally to what you want to do. Want jet skis? Fine. Want to go cliff diving? Fine. Want to just cruise the lake or take a trip with music? That works too. Just chill out sipping a cocktail on a lillypad or floating? Go for it. Once your water time and cruise time is completed, the real fun begins. With expert captains having given us a great lake tour, we pulled up to the floating tavern and that was just incredible. I brought electric candles for the table to level up the experience a bit but they did it all so well with or without them and it was so roomy even for our large group! They had dimmed lights for ambiance, a mixologist squeezing fresh juices for us for amazing drinks she made with the alcohol we brought, (their alcohol package may be easier next time as it is very affordable) and we had two chefs creating small bites for us hot and cooked right there on the tavern as the sun set and we were surrounded only by lake and stars, docked right there in the middle of the lake. The service was exemplary and far beyond our expectations of fun and being catered to. You can bring some of your own food too to make a full party if desired. The communication leading up to the event was exceptional and I'll be honest, I would much rather book this experience with friends a few times a year then ever buy a boat. It is the best lake experience and lake dining you will ever have and the hosts are a huge part of the fun of the day. True experts at what they do and we are a group of well traveled, well dined foodies (including two professional chefs) and we were completely wowed at our evening. It's the vibe that gets you. You will completely shake off all stress spending an evening this way!

BEST PHO SOUP IN AUSTIN!!! I've been living here for 10…read moreyears and tucked away in the back of The Village at Westlake, is a FABULOUS PHO VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT CALLED LEE'S. I had no idea it was even here and I LOVE PHO. I've been under the weather with horrible allergies and I was craving a great bowl of Pho Soup, so I finally Googled "Pho in Westlake, and Lee's came up. So I called up, ordered and drove over. The ambiance is super cute and clean. THIS SOUP BLEW MY MIND!!! This soup blew anything out of the water that I have tasted in Vietnam. Healthy and hardy portion. We started off with the spring rolls. These were the freshest Spring rolls I have ever tasted, and the sauce was incredible. Then we moved onto the 1 Beef Pho and 1 Vegetable Pho that we ordered. I put some beef in the Vegetable Pho, and it tasted phenomenal. As well, I wanted to add that I don't even like tofu, but the tofu that was in the soup was so fresh and spongy. Nothing like you've ever tasted, in a fabulous, unexpected but tasty way. THE BEEF BROTH WAS AMAZING!!! EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MORE!!! MY NEW GO TO PHO PLACE!!! Shout out to Brittany and your take out crew/staff........for being Extremely hospitable and inviting. ONLY SUGGESTION-I've been in marketing & sales, the restaurant industry, and the hospitality industry for over 32 YEARS. Now I'm in Corporate Real Estate. I've travelled the whole world and what I am telling you is that YOU HAVE THE BEST PHO SOUP I'VE EVER TASTED.......AND I HAD NO IDEA YOU WERE EVEN THERE!!! (and I've been in Westlake for 10 years, and I drive into that parking lot, minimally 3 times a day, for one reason or another). Why is this? How come I didn't know you were there?......Besides the fact that I never googled "Pho Westlake". I'll tell you why......from my experience and expertise, it because of your signage and name. With the name "Lee's Kitchen and Cocktails", I thought you were just another Chinese restaurant, and were loyalists to Chinatown Westlake. Which leads me back to how can we fix this, and generate you more business?! I'll tell you how you do it....I like your name, but I would have your signage company make a BIG black and white, LARGE sign in Italic, that says "PHO". Then have a bowl of soup with chopsticks coming out of it. But minimally a LARGE "PHO" in writing. I'd place it to the right of LEE'S Kitchen and Cocktails. That way every one will know what you serve, when they look at your name. Then I would go on all your social media platforms and ADD "PHO" to your name. Either LEE'S PHO-Kitchen + Cocktails, or something to that effect. LEE'S Kitchen + Cocktails-PHO. Had I seen this on the wall for the last 10 years, 3 times a day, I WOULD HAVE STOPPED, COME IN, AND BEEN YOUR CUSTOMER FOR THE LAST 2 PLUS YEARS. Please take my suggestion to heart and I can't wait to see your business thrive, even more than it already is. With love, Joanne and family

Overall: 3.9/5 [delivery]…read more We always order from Lee's Kitchen and Cocktails whenever we are craving hainan chicken on UberEats. It is on the pricier side compared to other Vietnamese restaurants so it is not something we get too often. Hainan Chicken ($25): Really good and feels like a healthier option. Make sure you use all of the sauce though because that is where the flavor is. It also comes with a broth that is so good we just drank it straight. Honestly better than the pho broth. Chicken Pho with Beef Broth ($23): The shredded chicken was overcooked and the broth was just alright. The portion was generous though.

I didn't feel like a burger though so I got the Classic Coney hotdog which is full of Detroit style chili (thick meat chili with no beans), and loaded with red onions and shredded cheddar cheese, then topped with mustard. It was delicious and filling. It Truly was like a dog you'd get at a Coney's in Detroit, MI. IYKYK. Then I heard you had to try the latke here, so I got Bubbe's OG Latkes which is 2 round thick potato pancakes! It came with sour cream and Smutz smoky aoli sauce on the side. I tried it both ways and it was good. But really it was best with that cold creamy sour cream that goes so well with the potato flavor. They also have great drinks which are refillable for free while you dine in. And I love the chill vibe and decor. Great artwork and old photos. Very funky! I was a big fan of their sandwich restaurant on Burnet (which closed), so I'm glad I finally got to check out this spot! Great place!!

The soft brioche buns fall apart with cheese and sauce, so I recommend requesting toasted buns. In this visit, I had to try the Drunk Jewboy, which is another I hopes comes back to stay on the menu.
