Located off Anderson Mill in the corner of a strip mall is a bookshelf with a door on the right side. If you cannot figure out the entrance, there is a doorbell to ring as well. I believe it is owned by the same people who own The Mill bar right next door, which makes it feel like a cool bonus space. My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it. It is a very relaxed space, but once the speakeasy gimmick wears off, it does not have much else going for it. It is still a cool place, but I am not sure it was worth the lengthy drive to get there. My friend never been here as well and we both decided to come for my bday. Best decision ever. I had the short rib and it was tender and mash potatoes was delicious. I would recommend this place. My friend had the ribeye and salad. Both dish amazing. The service was fantastic. Our server did an amazing job. She was on point. The place got packed for a Thursday night. The music was chill. I will most definitely come back again to try something else. If you have a birthday come here. You will see why. Its a great experience.

This was my first time visiting The Gramercy since we recently moved to Lakeway. It's been on our…read moreradar for quite some time, and with my brother in town, we decided to give it a try on a Tuesday night. It was quite busy when we arrived, which immediately set a good mood. The energy inside was great, the decor is beautiful, and the whole space gives off 1920s Great Gatsby vibes. The bar scene looked lively, and plenty of guests seemed to be enjoying themselves. We were offered seating on one of the couches near the entrance but chose a more private table instead. Our server was pleasant and kind, though he appeared new. A few small things were missed. Our appetizer plates sat on the table for about 15 to 20 minutes before being cleared, and fresh utensils were not brought out. The wait time for drinks, appetizers, and our main courses was quite long. It felt like we were there close to two hours, with about 30 to 45 minutes between each course. I arrived starving, and unfortunately the long waits made me cranky and impatient and started to affect my appetite. When our drinks finally arrived, I ordered the seasonal apple cider margarita. I was hoping it would be festive and delicious, but it turned out to be very tangy and bitter and not quite the cozy, fall-inspired drink I had expected. My husband and brother did enjoy their drinks, though. The pork belly appetizer, which came highly recommended, was a mixed experience. I would give it a 10 out of 10 for flavor but a 5 out of 10 for texture. The burnt end was extremely tough to cut through, even with effort, and my knife was not strong enough. While it did taste good, it was not the most tender pork belly I have had. I have had versions that truly melt in your mouth, and this one was much chewier. The fried shrimp appetizer was a solid 7 out of 10. It tasted good, but it did not stand out or wow me. The presentation set higher expectations for the flavor than what came through, and the sauce did not feel particularly unique. For my entree, I ordered the hamburger. It was good and well prepared, but nothing especially memorable, just a solid, classic burger. My brother ordered the fish sandwich and absolutely loved his. We had the chance to speak with the owner, who was very kind and friendly. He is clearly passionate about his restaurant and genuinely wants to continue making it better, which I truly appreciate. I am glad we finally made it in to try The Gramercy. Overall, I would be willing to come back. I think it would be a great spot for weekday drinks, appetizers, or brunch, especially during a busy work week. And I love that it is open late until 12 a.m., which is not very common in Lakeway.

The food was genuinely excellent, and the service was warm and attentive throughout. The bed was also a standout -- more comfortable than what I've experienced at most four-star hotels. I also loved the in-room Nespresso machine, which was a great touch. The only drawbacks are the location and setting. It's not ideal if you want to be close to a more metropolitan, walkable area, and being right on the creek means there can be quite a few bugs, especially in the evening. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a relaxing, stylish getaway with great food and very comfortable rooms.

This charming, quaint boutique hotel is located in a residential neighborhood in Round Rock, TX. The Ruby Hotel & Bar is situated along Brushy Creek in historic downtown Round Rock. The hotel has 39 uniquely designed rooms and suites, in the suburbs of Austin, TX. The hotel blends mid-century modern design with natural surroundings, creating a chic vibe. The property is distinctly divided into to major buildings...the hotel and the bar. There is a random small building up front also...not sure what that buildings for. There is also outdoor seating, which would be pleasant in the summer. Last night we had freezing temperatures, so sub-optimal for seating outside. When we entered the bar, we felt transported to another place in time. Retro looking furniture at the entry with finger dialed phones...my nieces and nephews would likely not have any idea what these little machines called telephones were. The bar was a mix of old - building built in the 1960s....new - modern mirrors and bar. There was signage at the front of the bar that stated to seat yourself and place your order from the bar (different set up...for sure). We ordered the hummus plate minus pita bread plus more cucumbers. Alan, our server was very accommodating to make that switch. We had herbal hot tea (chamomile and pomegranate berry). We listened to the 3 person band, who sang music from Johnny Cash to Bob Marley and so many different genres in between. What a lovely evening...date night score!
