I was after a coffee while wandering the streets, and this spot was perfect, as was the iced mocha! The space is small, featuring only a small counter where all the baked goods are displayed and then all the other goods are in the kitchen through the doorway. Definitely a local vibe from entry to exit. The owner was welcoming, friendly and made a solid iced coffee. Overall, definitely recommend when wandering around Dingle!

The Maid of Erin is so called for the large plaster Mother of Ireland which adorns the outside Apparently, a decade or so ago, they attempted to preserve her decency by painting a dress over her chest and were quickly put right. As it is a listed building no such alteration is permitted and so, she is preserved in all her bare-bosomed glory. There is an advantage if you're staying here, when people ask you can just say 'The one with the boobs?' and it clears things up pretty quickly. We stayed here a few weeks ago as we were attending a wedding in the Listowel Arms. 35euro each for a double room and breakfast, not too shabby. The room was clean, comfortable, lockable and had an ensuite with a decent shower. The breakfast was definitely up to scratch (full Irish, aw yeah!) and the Bean an Tí told us it would be available any time after 9:30, with no particular 'end time' which I thought was very nice of her! Overall I'd definitely recommend it for the bed, breakfast and boobs. (I've probably done it a disservice by referring to the plaster bosom so often but really, I found it hilarious!)
