Visited for the first time on a Saturday morning specifically to try the chicken & sweet potato waffle. There were three in my party and we all ordered the same thing. Despite us ordering one after another, our orders were ready at different times. My order came up first and I was finished by the time the last order was ready. The chicken and waffle were very good, but could've been better with just a few tweaks. The entree is served with one syrup and a side of whipped cream. Honestly, I would've preferred more syrup an butter in place of the whipped cream. The chicken was deliciously cooked to perfection! It was crispy and well seasoned. The chicken (3 wings) perfectly complimented the sweet potato waffle. The waffle was light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. The serving size filled me up and left me completely satisfied. I made a point to look over the full menu while we were there and they have a vast variety of menu options ranging from breakfast to lunch options and of course a selection of coffees and lattes. Stop in and support this black woman owned business.

Not my first time, I used to live & worker closer. Since I moved, I almost forgot about this place. But we happened upon on the search for a quick & late lunch. Great service! Very welcoming & engaging. Offered meal suggestions. Food made fresh & did not take long at all. Very satisfied with food & presentaction! No complaints at all. Just wish this space was in a more accessible/noticeable spot. Very welcoming interior! Cute & quaint decor. Definitely will return to support this local small business!!

10/7/23 My husband and I came here for coffee after church on Sunday morning. We arrived excited to try a new coffee shop. My husband ordered the camp fire breve and I had their house blend with lavender syrup. The drinks came out quickly and we took them to go. They were delicious and we will most definitely return when in the area.

Genesis Coffee House. Black-owned and a wonderful atmosphere for a cup of joe space to relax and enjoy or grab and go.

This is a great spot. The customer service is AMAZING! White chocolate bliss is my favorite. Sweet with a kick! Check this spot out for coffee, breakfast sandwiches and more. The shop is quaint but comfortable. It's perfect for coffee with a small group, a lunch meeting, or a virtual work day. I work from home 80% of the time and can see myself having a work morning here. The music is perfectly curated for a diverse group. Stop by and try anything on the menu and you won't be disappointed!

Sweet coffee treat! Sweet owner! Local business with charm. I ordered a butterscotch iced coffee. Tasty! I had coffee and dessert all in one.

What a perfect little spot! The coffee, croissant breakfast sandwich, and waffles were amazing. Fluffy, fresh, and delicious. The space is really clean, well decorated, and the music was such a nice touch. The owner chatted with us and is so friendly as well. We'll definitely be back!

"The Nutty Professor" Iced Latte with almond milk

The inside of this place is adorable. Super clean and pleasantly decorated. It's quite cozy, but there are several tables and benches to sit and work at. The barista was so friendly! I went in to order a hazelnut latte, but she recommended i try their Nutty Professor latte, which is chocolate+hazelnut, topped with whip and two nutter butter cookies- i couldn't resist. Definitely a treat coffee! Looking forward to trying what they have to offer for breakfast/lunch

Smokehouse chicken sandwich (can't see the bacon), protein bites, latte.

Over the years we have travel a lot and spent a lot of time in Lexington, KY. One of my favorite…read moreeateries is Ramsay's Diner. Nestled just off Leestown Road in the vibrant Masterson Station neighborhood, Ramsey's Diner is much more than a casual eatery -- it's a go-to destination for Southern comfort with a creative twist. From the moment you step inside, the diner's welcoming charm and laid-back atmosphere set the tone for a truly enjoyable meal. Familiar friendly faces at the door and a buzz of diners chatting over hearty plates make it feel like a beloved local secret worth sharing. We begin our meal with appetizers that are generous in flavor and unmistakably Southern: * Fried Green Tomatoes: Crispy, tangy, and perfectly seasoned -- an ideal opener that dances between crisp exterior and tender interior. * Fried Banana Peppers: A playful crunch with a subtle heat that whets the appetite for bigger bites to come. * Chicken Noodle Soup (Soup of the Day): A comforting, soul-warming starter that tastes like it came straight from grandma's kitchen. Service here is as warm as the food: servers move with a welcoming attentiveness that makes you feel both valued and at ease. Ramsey's entrees are where this place truly shines, showcasing Southern comfort classics elevated with care: I had the Cajun Catfish Dinner: Perfectly seasoned and served with creamy sides, this dish is a standout favorite among regulars -- bold yet balanced. My wife went with the Buffalo Chicken Dinner, A beautiful marriage of heat and harmony; spicy but not overpowering, paired with mashed potatoes and Parmesan fried corn cob. Portions are generous without feeling excessive, and the diner's all-day breakfast offerings -- including classics like fully loaded plates of eggs, meats, and pancakes -- are consistently praised by many of our friends that live in the area. They also feature several decadent desserts that are always worth saving room for, and no visit is complete without dessert, and Ramsey's menu doesn't disappoint: I went with the Butterscotch Pie: A gooey, buttery slice that strikes the perfect balance of sweet richness. My wife had the Cheesecake with Strawberry Swirl: A luscious finish -- creamy, tangy, and beautifully bright. Another good option is the Brownie Pie with Ice Cream: Chocolatey and indulgent, this classic is elevated by its cool, velvety partner. While Ramsey's isn't a cocktail bar per se, their drink offerings -- from homestyle fountain sodas to thoughtfully selected beverages -- pair wonderfully with the menu's bold flavors. During special events like Lexington Restaurant Week, you'll even find inventive additions like a Maker's Peach Rosemary Sour that brings a refreshing, aromatic finish to a rich meal. The diner's ambience strikes a perfect balance between casual comfort and lively community spot. Big, bright windows let in natural light, and the enclosed patio offers a breezy alternative on pleasant days. Patrons frequently describe the staff as attentive, personable, and genuinely invested in your dining experience -- creating that rare sense of being treated more like a guest than a customer. The décor and vibe reflect the welcoming spirit of Masterson Station: relaxed, familiar, and unpretentious -- perfect for family dinners, casual date nights, or a comforting solo meal. The reputation and community presence here run deep -- from dedicated regulars who know their favorite booth to local fundraising efforts that reflect the diner's heart. The blend of remarkable comfort food, friendly service, and a down-home atmosphere makes Ramsey's more than a meal -- it's an experience that stays with you long after dessert is gone. We Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore authentic Southern flavors with a smile on the side.

Got fooled twice. Looking for country food. Ramsey has great reviews and pictures look very…read moreappetizing Flavor and looks are right there. But they cut major corners and I guess no one realized. Salad. It is all lettuce. No leafy greens at all. Lettuce is the cheapest out of all the greens because it has nutritional value of a piece of paper. And the chicken salad is the same price as other restaurants that have better Ingredients. $15. Catfish. Pretty sure it is not catfish and it is swai. Which is like $1/lb that restaurants trying to cheat off. The fish batter has good seasoning and good crunch from the cornmeal but it is not catfish. The meat itself looks different, and bland. $17 for that with 2 sides. Hush puppies are weird. Why is it so mushy and soft in the middle Chicken dumplings are better than Cracker barrel but that's nothing to praise about. Sides and service are good. Grill chicken also good
