It's been a minute since we've been here. We went on a Saturday afternoon after being at farmer's market. There are three tables inside however when we were there all three tables were occupied which is no biggie. We literally live within walking distance so we didn't care to take it home and eat there. There was no wait to order and the food came out hot and fresh. We both got cheeseburgers (i got a side of fries) and we both got drinks. I forgot how generous they were with their serving size. You definitely get your money's worth. And the food is good! Its well lit and always clean. They have a great variety of drinks including a fountain machine. They also have soft serve ice cream (I've had it on a previous visit and it is good). I have to say the food has stayed consistent and so have the size of the servings. read more

We've been hearing about Ruby's for a while and living close to downtown, we finally ordered carry out for dinner this week and it was AMAZING. I love Mediterranean food, and we decided to be wild and ordered the lamb pizza. I highly suggest adding banana peppers (which we did at home) and dipping it in tzatziki. A small pizza fed two adults for 3 meals. We also ordered the Greek salad and it was so fresh and they didn't skim on the 'good stuff' like olive and feta. It was also huge and the dressing was fabulous. We enjoyed grabbing some beer to take home (Peroni!) and I also had to try the Oreo shake after hearing another customer talk about it. Hands down, it was the best milkshake I've had in years. We split it between the two of us and it was the perfect serving (and worth every single calorie). We will be back. Compared to my favorite med meals, this was closer, cheaper, and better tasting. While our kids also love a good gyro, the menu here is extensive enough to please multiple people's cravings. Rumor is Ruby's is the place to have light night eats, and if that's true, I'd venture to say it will give other late night eateries a run for their money. read more

Have been a customer for a little over a year and have never had any problems with the service or the food. But on Thursday night January 15th stopped in for some bacon cheese fries and also got a pint of milk. Did not open the milk till the next morning and it was bad. It was expired by more than a week. Not what I expected at all. Not really a cafe. More of a convenience store and vape shop that serves Indian food. Yes that's right....Indian food. I ordered the chicken gyro expecting a Greek gyro. It was a curry spiced chicken with ranch dressing and iceberg lettuce on a pita. read more

First visit to Ruby's to grab a cold beer and a burger. CJ was an expert guide through our first experience at Ruby's. My fries were crisp and hot and the double cheeseburger took no less than three napkins because it was so juicy and flavorful. Can't wait to work my way through the multi-cultural menu. I do not do reviews much but for this one I make an exception. This place has the BEST cheeseburgers in Lexington. OMG! Thank think was well done but juicy and O M Delicious. Highly recommend. They sent this thing in a place box and it was like unwrapping the most delectable lunch I've had in a long time. I am looking at other stuff today to see if there is anything else I want to try because of the delightful cheeseburger from yesterday. LOL. Highly recommend. read more

Ruby's Cafe is more than an oasis in the desert, more than a diamond in the rough, one might say even more influential than the planting of the flag on the moon....its an amazing bodega in the heart of downtown. Bodega would be underselling this killer spot, full menu ranging from Gyros to Pizzas to breakfast omelettes to the damn home fries I just enjoyed that were better than any wanna be brunch spot in Lexington. CJ behind the counter during the mornings is a blessing in comparison to most industry workers and I can wholeheartedly say that considering I am one myself. Make a regular of yourself and you will have found a new friend. Everyone that works here is super chill and always glowing good vibes. Literally never had an item off the food menu that wasn't on par with what food service SHOULD be. The male cashier was rude and entitled. Call me a Karen for this is you want but... They have a sign that states that restrooms are only for customers so I tried to buy a pack of gum at the marketplace so I could use the restroom and he made a remark about how that wasn't enough to use their restroom? Does buying a pack of gum not make me a customer? Absolutely ridiculous and inappropriate. I am all for supporting small but not when they act so entitled to money. Also just a heads up to the owner no one wants to sit down and eat to music talking about SA, shootings, and beating women. I am shocked that anyone would give this place more than 1 star. read more

The freshest Mediterranean restaurant in Lexington! Great food and amazing staff. The upstairs is an amazing bar/speakeasy that is beautifully decorated. Downstairs is a convenient store where you order your food and they also sell ice cream. I definitely recommend eating here. read more

These guys just opened and as someone who lives downtown this place is such a blessing. I first came here a week ago and I've been essentially everyday since. The menu has incredible variety all at relatively affordable prices. From butter chicken and tikka masala to burgers gyros and chop cheeses. Everything has been consistently delicious. Today, I tried the crispy chicken sandwich and my goodness... The staff is extremely friendly they provide great service. The store is kept extremely clean with a solid ambiance. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. This place is what Lexington needed. If you're looking for a lunch spot or a late night dive, look no further this place is it. read more

I would never go there again the way I was treated was very disrespectful I am 50 years old. I gave her my order and I asked her if the order came with fried potatoes she asked me to read off the menu now I found that to be very offensive. When I explained to her that I am 50 years old and why would I have to read off the menu when I'm just asking you I'm asking you if I don't comes comes with my food she gets offensive and grab the pepper spray and was acting like I was about to try to attack her I would never eat there again and I advise anybody who go there to question the fact if you want to be treated with that type of conduct when I asked to speak with the manager she did not even get me the manager to speak with. read more
