super cool and eclectic spot with awesome people working there. Food was great and there was an open kitchen. at one point the guy making my food came and sat down at our table and gave me and my friends free cookies! very welcoming and amazing atmosphere with a lot of locals and regulars. feel like i found a hidden gem

I've been eyeing the menu for weeks just waiting for the right opportunity to order. Called in the order at 9:30 am for a lunch pick up. Pulled up to the green doors and the food quickly given with a smile. Owners came and said hello too! Amazing sandwich, soup, surprise pickle and a cookie too! Will definitely order again!

Such a warm welcome from the owners. The food is absolutely amazing and you can tell it's personally made with love. Yummy beer cheese potato soup with bacon on a cold winter day. Warmed the belly and the soul! I will be returning.... a lot!! The Turkey , Brie & Amish Hot Pepper Jelly Sandwich was the perfect balance of sweet and spice. Loved everything!

For more than twenty years Courtyard Deli has been located on Cheapside. Several years ago, Cheapside was blocked off from traffic and the 5th 3rd Pavillion was created, targeting the bar scene. Now Cheapside consists of bars and the pavillion, the home of the popular summertime series, Thursday Night Live. Now they have drove this staple Lexington deli out of the area. Their last day in this location will be 12/31/14. They will then be moving to their new location in the Heritage Antique shop in February. On an average day, you would find it packed with downtown workers, attorneys, court staff and other regulars and you will hear the owner call by name. I'm glad that they have that fan base and weren't completely driven from downtown. I think that the new location will be better, especially for those of us who don't work in the heart of downtown. I think that the parking will be a better situation too. The food is all deli like, mainly consisting of sandwiches, soups and salads. I have to admit that I've only been here once, and I can attest that the cobb salad was excellent. It wasn't huge, but it did fill a plate and the fact that it came with bread and a choice of a side, made it a big meal. I chose a soup which apparently rotates, this day I went with a white chili and I have to say that it was some of the best white chili that I've ever had. Sorry if that isn't available when you check it out. The salad, side and a fountain drink for around $10. I don't think that's a bad price for a meal downtown. I'll be back.... to the new location at 351 Church Street.

Took advantage of the beautiful weather today for my 1st trip of the year to Courtyard Deli. It's my favorite lunch spot downtown and I eat there often, but I'm loyal to one dish. I get the #1 Smoked Turkey Sandwich on the Rosemary Foccacia bread. The combination of flavors with the turkey, cole slaw, and rosemary bread works very well together. I usually get just the half sandwich and I get the red bean and corn salad for a side. The only downfalls to Courtyard are how busy it is during lunch (great for the business I know, but the wait makes for a short lunch hour for me) and that they don't serve Coca-cola products anymore. The staff are always friendly here and they know a lot of customers by name which is always a great

Never. Go. Here. The staff is beyond rude. Called my wife a bitch after she asked about the adjacent antique store hours.

In a word, pure. The owners are friendly and will chat you up and the food has a home cooking taste that no restaurant around has.

At lunch, the gyro is a winner, plenty of meat, red onions and the right amount of tzatziki so that you get tzatziki in every bite but it's not swimming in it to overwhelm the delicious meat! But the real deal at lunch is the tater tots. Look at the picture, they are perfect. A rich golden to slightly dark brown for the correct crispy exterior. The tater tots earn this place a 5 star review easily.

I had the western omelet with wheat toast and tots . The veggies in the omelet were cooked well but not mushy. The omelet itself was nice and light . As for the toast I would have been happy eating just the toast it was that good &the tots were nice and crispy. The others had eggs over easy with sausage and bacon plus toast and tots. I'd say easily that everyone enjoyed the Monday breakfast club meet up.
