Half pimento cheese, Mediterranean salad, and oatmeal raisin cookie. $11.02.

The food is delicious, quick, and easy deli ordering. I hate to agree, but I have also experienced, every time I go, subpar interactions with staff that made me feel like they were extremely inconvenienced to be doing their job. A worker once huffed when I asked to leave a tip on my card.

Note given with a doordash order.

Apparently you need to call 24 hours in advance to make a DoorDash order. No restrictions on DoorDash in place. Didn't even provide the complete order. Such a shame, since the food is fantastic. Got to love passive aggressive customer service...

    Amazing party platters.

I have come here pretty regularly for years. It is a combination of a cheese shop, gift shop, deli and gourmet kitchen supply shop. They have high end and imported items and foods. All very high quality. As far as the prepared food goes. Chris is a capable and excellent chef. They offer deli sandwiches and prepared foods like grilled salmon, grilled shrimp, beef tenderloin, crab cakes, personal-sized meat loaves, asparagus, potatoes, quiches, salads, etc. They offer 3 different homemade soups each day and they are always excellent. I had the split pea and ham soup today and I always check to see when they will be making it again. They also do amazing party trays. I love their sauces and Zapp's potato chips. It stays pretty busy all day long but noonish is usually when you may not find a seat. Take out is great too. They even offer prepared dinners that you can pick up on your way home from work. They are known for their Pimento Cheese and they sell a lot of it. It has been imitated but never duplicated. Many of the recipes are from the owner's mother and they were passed down for generations. Nice place. In summary it is a unique experience for lunch and the retail shop is fantastic. Most everything is unique and hard to find. To be fair, I need to mention the downside. The only drawback is the price. It is quite expensive relatively speaking especially when anything warm has to be microwaved except for the soup.. Otherwise I have no complaints.

    California dreaming sandwich! Yum!!!

The best pimento cheese in all the world, in my opinion. They have plenty of to go deli items and sides. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. They have great gift items as well--cute Christmas plates and pottery. I like the mouse trap!

This place is just great all around. The atmosphere is awesome, with many various things being sold here to the delicious foods you can order to eat there or take with you. Like the pimento cheese that they have, it is amazing. You must try it!

The pimento cheese sandwich was so good I forgot to take a picture of it.

These people are so incredibly rude I was SHOCKED. Sandwiches are delicious but served with a large side of attitude.

Yumm! Get the pimento cheese, it's excellent! Probably the best I've ever had. Everything is good, but to me, the pimento cheese stands out!

As I am fairly ignorant about pocketknife details, he gave me photos of what he wanted and I showed them to a member of the staff. After a quick discussion about cost and value, he zoned in on the perfect selection. Most importantly is that when I presented it to him, he was happy. Their selection is impressive. But what added to it was the items that were not cutlery in natures. I found a Metal Earth kit for a sculpture that he also liked. Add to that the scented candle I bought for myself and the host of kits to make delicious foods or decorate them with sauces and I was satisfied. There is a somewhat small museum of knives and knife culture. Due to my ignorance about the culture, I took a few dozen photos and moved on. A few times a year, I head from TN to IN and using US 31W as bypass for Louisville bound and construction traffic, I can see myself stopping buy to pick up some gum, soup starters, soap, suace and such. It is a nice house.

Red Hill Cutlery is also home to the Kentucky Museum of American Pocketknives which displays over 100 years of knife history. I couldn't help but visit this pocket knife museum. I loved the bourbon balls and the antler key chain ring I got here as a surprise gift too. They have a stellar collection and history of knives . Everything I really wanted were in the hundreds of dollars range. This place is worth a visit if you happen to go to the Boundary Oak Distillery on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail next door.
