Food was amazing!! My husband had a regular biscuit breakfast with gravy and he loved it. I haven't had a good gf biscuit & gravy since my diagnosis. And on top of the amazing food, the staff are fabulous!! We will definitely make the drive back to visit Biscuit Daddies again! read more

A bit confusing from the moment we walked in, as we were not warmly greeted or really acknowledged. We assumed this was more of a walk-up-and-order type of place, so I eventually had to welcome myself while one of the employees was making coffee and seemed somewhat distracted, with very little interaction. He asked whether our order was for dine-in or takeout, and when we said dine-in, he handed us menus and told us to find a table. Unfortunately, all of the available tables needed to be cleaned. We stood by one of the tables until someone eventually came over to pick up the trash, but the table was never wiped down. Since we were limited on time, we asked to place our order right away. We ordered two sandwiches and a side of their hash brown casserole. When the biscuits arrived, they were impressive in both size and taste. However, they were barely lukewarm, and the cheese on my sandwich was hardly melted. It was disappointing because the food itself showed potential, but the temperature and overall service took away from the experience. read more

Since having to eat strictly gluten free, I find enjoyment in finding special places like Biscuit Daddies that not only understands things like cross-contamination, but offers a one to one option for their entire menu to include gluten free guests. Biscuit Daddies specializes in biscuits (obviously), and makes a delicious, light and fluffy gluten free biscuit that tastes just like a regular biscuit! They offer breakfast sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, and even a biscuit that tastes almost exactly like a cinnamon roll! I enjoyed the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich one morning and "the hangover helper" the second morning (which is a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit topped with their gluten free gravy and a side of hash brown casserole). Both were very tasty! We also tried their cinnamon roll biscuit (ask them to warm it up) and it was delicious! It was worth making just a little extra room to try. We chatted with the owner who was very friendly and passionate about finding a gluten free customer base. He shared several of his recipes (such as the casserole) have become 100% gluten free, as the taste was so indistinguishable from the original recipe. Even if you aren't gluten free I'd still highly recommend dining at Biscuit Daddies. They also offer regular biscuits for all of their menu options. read more

The food was AMAZING! The owner was there and he came to talk to us! Definitely one of our favorite places now. EVERYTHING CAN BE MADE GLUTEN FREE and it's melt in your mouth kinda good!!!! I couldn't even finish my biscuit till later in the day. Still very good! My husband took a bite of my gf gravy and was amazed how good it was. The gravy had lots of sausage in it! I loved it, really made it feel like I was at home eating my granny's gravy! Looking forward to trying the chicken and dumplings!! read more

So first of all, it is difficult to find. Look for the sign that says "NuHealth Cafe". When I found it I walked in and asked for their most popular dish and they said it's The Hangover Helper so I ordered that but I substituted sausage for the bacon. The interior is very clean and nicely appointed with a large beautiful chandelier. It's pretty narrow and the place was about 2/3rds full when I got here at 12:45 on a Saturday. The drink selection is very limited with the soft drink options being just 4 varieties of Coke cans in a cooler. They also have coffee, tea, OJ and water. I was a bit irritated that their prices are higher than what is displayed on the large board behind the counter (see photo). They could warn you that their most popular dish is actually $15 and the board still says it's $13. That is a very poor business practice and I'm sure that it will upset people. The employee that I spoke to said "we are getting that replaced". The service is extremely slow. It took over 35 minutes to get my biscuit. When my plate finally arrived the hash brown casserole was hot and delicious but the biscuit and gravy was room temp. The biscuit was fluffy and soft. I prefer more dense and crispy on the outside. I give the Food a solid 4 stars and 2 stars for everything else so 3 stars overall. read more

Quaint little establishment with a big smile and great food. My husband and my was very impressed. Food tasted scrumptious. Go get taste

Bloody weird and peculiar interaction i had with a man in there and wont be coming back in any capacity. I came in after they closed. Didn't realize, i didn't even want food i just wanted a menu to take, fully willing to come back another time. I was then invited in to take photos of what was on their menu, alright neat! I thanked them and took out my phone to take photos of the menu. I walk up to the counter and the guy there straight up says, not even implying it, to not steal something he had laying out on the counter, and that he's "Met a girl like you (me) before." Brother. We aren't friends, we aren't cozy, we aren't anything but business owner/employee and patron, thats foul to say to anyone in any capacity. I kept looking at your things because it was spaced out on the counter and i didn't want to knock it over on accident. Dont ever imply a customer is gonna steal something even more so in front of you and another person, thats really weird behavior. read more

This was my first experience with biscuit daddies. My wife called in a carry out order. We had 4 bacon egg and cheese biscuits, 2 orders of avocado toast and a half order of biscuits/gravy. Everyone was pleasant and overall a positive experience. The bacon egg cheese biscuits and avocado toast tasted good. The gravy tasted just like Purnell's to me instead of homemade. I wanted more food for the money spent on the bacon egg cheese biscuit the avocado toast was adequate. read more

I was recently diagnosed with celiac disease and this is the first restaurant (especially one that serves breakfast) I have found that has been actually able to make everything gluten free. And you couldn't even tell. Their gluten free biscuits are awesome. It's a nice, clean, and quiet place and the service was great (shout out to Nick). Would highly recommend for both people with and without gluten sensitivities. read more

Rolled in with a crew of six while visiting Lexington, and wow... what a find. I went for the Big Blue Hot Brown (because, when in Kentucky), and my friends basically treated the menu like a sampler platter. Zero regrets. The biscuits and gravy? Fluffy little clouds holding up a thick, rich sausage gravy that didn't nuke your mouth with pepper like some spots do. Absolute perfection. And the coffee? Smooth, medium-full bodied, not bitter, not burnt, basically everything you wish your morning cup was. Pair that with a charming as hell owner who clearly cares, and you've got yourself a winning combo. I don't throw out 5 stars often, but this place earned it. Go here, eat everything, start your day happy. read more

Absolutely adored my delicious lunch at this sweet little establishment. The two gentlemen working were attentive and friendly. The pot roast was divine. The ice tea tasted freshly brewed and was the ideal strength. The storefront is difficult to see from the road, but worth the hunt to find it. I can't wait to go back! read more

This is a great place! The food is fantastic and huge portions. The selection is not vast but I would rather have less options but quality food then a lot of options and crappy food. Biscuits were really tasty and moist and this is not the norm with restaurant biscuits. The hashbrown casserole was really good. Service was great and the person who waited on me was really outgoing and friendly. Very attentive without being over bearing. If you are in the area give this place a try, you will not be disappointed. read more

So fans, It has been a minute since my last review but I only post when I have something to tell you and boy do I have something to tell you. I may be late to the party, because this establishment which was literally started and is even now ran by a two guys who love to eat - and one of them who is a great cook! Biscuit Daddies in downtown Lexington, Ky, delivered through Door Dash which is how I found them. Hubby ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of hash brown casserole. I chose the veggie omelette that comes with a side buscuit. Let me tell you, the veggie omelette is right up there with the top three omelettes I have ever had and I am an omelette officiant. And don't let the fact that it is veggie only deter you. You will find nothing lacking in this one. Delicious is the only way to describe it. And can I just say-- thank you, Biscuit Daddies for knowing that to be delicious, food needs seasoning and some fat. This one is a winner for sure. And do we need to talk about the hash brown casserole. No we don't but we will. As has been said by others-- order this. You won't be sorry. The plain biscuit was pretty good-- but I am particular about my biscuits as my mountain mama made the best ever. These are good but they are a bit too dense for my liking. If you appreciate thick crumb you will like these. The gravy has plenty of sausage and is of course creamy. It's not mama's but it is good. Biscuit Daddies! To try it is to love it. A bit pricy but for the flavor it is worth it. (30.00 plus for an omelette, half biscuits and gravy and a side of hash brown casserole on Door Dash that up charges as we know). Anyway-- if you are in the Lexington KY area and you haven't tried Biscuit Daddies - you need to. We have only scratched the surface of the menu so... check it out. You can thank me later. read more

Awesome breakfast! Very clean restaurant. I got the Hangover Special and biscuit was perfect. Thick bacon, scrambled eggs and smothered with gravy with chunks of sausage. The cheesy hash brown side was excellent! If only we knew sooner when we lived in Ohio and would drive here. read more

A nice simple place for breakfast. The waiter was very helpful, attentive, and friendly! It was exactly what we wanted. Coffee and biscuits and gravy. Order eggs over medium and they were cooked to order! Price was reasonable. Thanks! read more

A true breakfast gem. We ordered the Big Blue hot brown & the breakfast plate. Both were delicious! The biscuits were fresh & fluffy. The decor was very tasteful & not what you would expect in a "strip mall" restaurant. The service was very good, though we ate with just a few other patrons. I recommend this establishment for your breakfast (and lunch) cravings. read more

Wonderful experience! We have been having Sunday brunch at Wild Eggs for years but just wanted to try something different and local. It's over on Virginia Ave. in a small strip center by UK campus and for the money I can't believe this place wasn't packed with students yet. We enjoyed the Hangover Special and the Big Blue Hot Brown, both were hearty and delicious! The sausage gravy is perfect and of course the biscuits were fluffy and oven fresh. Don't sleep on the Cheesy Hash Browns, you'll throw rocks at Cracker Barrel. We were warmly greeted by the owner who prepared our meals with love and enthusiasm! Our waitress was a pleasant smiling young lady that was exceptionally attentive. It is a nicely decorated place and very clean. We can't wait to go back for the Chicken & Dumplings and Pot Roast! read more

Most delicious gluten free biscuit and regular biscuit we've ever had!!! My partner and best friend both have celiac and it's so amazing that a local small business offers gluten free options, AND they are incredibly delicious!!!
