I went for brunch not expecting to be amazed by the best pancake I've ever had. After seeing so many people order it, we decided to get one and share itv(it was more than enough for two). Thick, fluffy and delicious. I've never had anything like it. In addition to the most amazing pancake, I had a chicken sandwich and side salad. Had a great experience at Beaus. I ordered the buttermilk pancake, and it was honestly one of the best pancakes I've ever had. It was perfectly balanced, and that subtle hint of orange zest really took it over the top. I also had the burrito alongside the pancake, which was a solid choice. I have read and heard so many good comments about this place I finally tried it and I certainly was NOT disappointed. I was a little apprehensive looking at the menu. Loved this spot for breakfast. I ordered the avocado toast with an over easy egg and it was cooked perfectly. The toast was so good and I loved the fresh greens on top. We also tried the famous pancake and now I get why it's so popular. It was super fluffy and the syrup was amazing. One of the best pancakes I've had. The service was great too. Our server was attentive and you could tell he was really passionate about the place. It was calm, clean, and not hectic at all which made it a perfect spot to relax and catch up with friends. Went for brunch at Beau's Cafe this morning and I am quite impressed. This place is quaint and modern. As soon as you walk in it's like boom....hostess station. We were met with the friendliest staff. It was just a couple minutes and we were served hot steaming coffee which was amazing. They have a wide variety of breakfast brunch food to satisfy the sweet or savory foodie. I chose the French Omelet with greens and my companion chose the breakfast burrito. The waitress did ask if I had ever had a French omelette before which I had not, she said it was like soft, soft scrambled eggs. She was spot on because that's exactly what it was like and it was delicious. The greens were crisp and lightly dressed, which was a perfect accompaniment to the smooth and flavorful omelette. I didn't try the breakfast burrito, but it looked quite tasty. The servings are quite large. We both ended up taking to go containers. This is the best place I have eaten at in a LONG time! We were in town visiting a friend and decided to make a drive over this way before heading home. Everything was perfect. There was no wait. Our server, Grant, was very friendly and attentive. Grant mentioned this place tries to get everything they serve locally, which is awesome! The coffee was delicious. My husband got coffee with bourbon cream, he really enjoyed it. Everything we ordered was crispy. My husband's burrito had a nice crisp crunch to the tortilla with a lot of avocado, not skimpy! The green sauce on the side was flavorful. The pancake was cooked with a perfect crispy crunch with each bite you take. I read other comments saying there was an orange taste but we tasted lemon! Wow oh wow! Beau's Cafe is a gem of the Lexington foodie scene! We found Beau's on Tik Tok and made our way over to enjoy the Buttermilk Pancakes and Hot Jam Chicken. My husband and I came here for breakfast with our son. They have very little options for breakfast. My husband ordered the French omelet. It was supposed to have cheese. All it was raw eggs in the center. No cheese. He substituted the potatoes, which was very disappointing. Plus, they charged us extra for the potatoes. The waitress didn't even tell us it was going to be extra. The potatoes are basically potato chips. It was super hard and not enjoyable. I got the popover. It was a little burnt and really thin. So I did not enjoy it. Then we ordered the egg and bacon kids meal. The waitress put in the wrong order and came out and asked if he would eat that instead. We told her no. She brought him the correct meal. We noticed when we looked at the receipt she charged us for both meals. She's The one who made the mistake. Why should we have to pay for a meal we didn't even order. My husband asked for more coffee and she never came back. It was almost 80.00 for 3 meals (4 with the one we didn't even order) and 3 drinks. Very expensive. I was not impressed. Definitely don't recommend this place. read more

The French omelette is perfect. The dressed greens are a very welcome addition to a fried chicken biscuit situation. If you get the green peppercorn sauce (which is delicious) ask for it on the side b/c it can be too much. The lunch dishes I saw also looked tasty. We came around 11am on a Saturday and there was a 20 minute wait but we were able to snag seats at the bar in under 5 minutes. We ordered lattes - they have a full espresso setup - the buttermilk pancakes and the Dutch baby. The pancakes are tall and tasty, but I was expecting a little more bourbon flavor from the bourbon maple syrup. Still very tasty but they're huge. Made for sharing! The star of the show - and an item I rarely see on menus - is the Dutch baby. A thinner popover style pancake that is covered in blackberries and tangy yogurt whipped cream which coalesces in a bright and satisfying bite each time. Highly recommend. All good cause I was in the mood for a salad & one of their breakfast specialities! Ordered an Espresso, which was a bit bitter, nothing a lemon twist couldn't resolve. However, I ordered a Cappuccino w/ Califia Organic Almond Milk (I've never seen in KY) & I added a Lemon twist as well. Yum. BUTTERMILK PANCAKES * Fluffy w/ a sweet crusty goodness on top of both pancakes. Perfect amount of orange zest & browned butter... just WOW! A MUST! TZATZIKI SALAD W/ ROASTED CHICKEN * Delish w/ Goat Cheese & homemade croutons crumbles, avo, dill & my protein was chicken. Took a little more than half home to make a wrap! It's huge! I was not at all a fan of the Chicken so next time will try the steak or no protein. The TZATZIKI was different in a great way, just didn't fulfill the TZATZIKI I know. All very good in another way. Overall, 5/5! Pancakes could be my next b-day cake! They were OMG GOODNESS! It might have been better with bacon (I ordered the sausage) because the bacon may have given it a crunch. Since then was eggs and avocado in it there wasn't much texture diversity. I prefer a crunch, but that's just personal preference. The green salsa that comes with the burrito is made in house and is delicious. It's not spicy at all but had great flavor. The fresh greens had a lovely vinaigrette dressing. If you don't like spring mix, I'd suggest subbing out the side. The chicken jam sandwich was very rich but very delicious.
