Their salad bar isn't huge, but it has all of the popular items and all of the items are fresh and the salad bar attendant does an amazing job at keeping it stocked and clean. I'm not sure what I was expecting from an overpriced sandwich shop. The Reuben's meat was just pre sliced deli. 2/3 of the sandwich was sour kraut. It was only cut halfway through, I had to tear it in half. All in all, bad customer service and pretty average food that is overpriced. read more

I've been to different Jason's Delis over the years. This one is located in a new building that looks more like an office building than a restaurant. That's not a bad thing, just surprising. The dining room is fairly large and seems adequate. We both ordered the Manager's Special. I built my own sandwich because I like just turkey, cheese, lettuce and tomato and nothing else. I also chose the cup of chicken noodle soup and wow, the soup was the thickest chicken noodle I've ever ordered. It tased really good too. She went with the Smokey Jack Panini and a cup of chili. I said her bread looked like a giant waffle french fry (see photo). She enjoyed her lunch too. We also went with the free ice cream that Jason's has always had and continues to offer. The cups have gotten smaller but it is all you really need to top of a nice lunch. The restrooms were very clean and there is a drive thru available. read more

Did not realize until yesterday Lexington had one of these. We had it in Melbourne Florida and really enjoyed it. We both had the managers special, half a sandwich with chips and soup. Both had the rueben with me having chili and the wife tortilla soup. Everything was top notch and the service was great as well. Did not have it, but they have a great looking salad bar as well. I don't think that I had visited Jason's since before Covid, but today soup and salad sounded good, so I stopped by. Unfortunately, I was less than satisfied by this visit. I ordered a bowl of soup, a salad, and I added a protein since there is no meat at the salad bar except the bacon bits. I also added a drink, and my meal totaled over $18.00. Say what?!? I understand that everyone is raising prices, as the manager made sure to mention, but seriously, I could eat at Red Lobster for cheaper. As for the food, the broccoli cheddar soup was very good, but I did not like the chicken salad (is that pineapple they put in there?) and the prepared salads (broccoli salad, pasta salad, and potato salad) on the salad bar were all not up to the quality that they should be. So, I am afraid I'm not in a hurry to make a return trip. read more

A friend of mine from work was telling me about this hidden gem. So I tried it out. Man....they have so many delicious sounding sandwiches and the salad bar was probably the best I have had. I ordered a Royale Club. I got Spicy gumbo as a side. The sandwich was spot on. Served on a croissant roll, it was perfect. The Gumbo...it's so good, I will be swinging by regular for the gumbo. I have went to Jason's Deli a few times and food is ok. My problem is the sandwiches are that good. I had a turkey sandwich this trip. I feel the combination of ingredients didn't work. Authentic deli shop it's not. I feel they try but misses it mark. I went to the location in Louisville and it was better. I go hoping to have that experience. Never had it. The Carmela sandwich is my favorite spicy choice, but they have lots of variety, in bread, meats, and also desserts if you just want a sweet-treat-stop. Went last week for the first time, area has a lot more to see and I'm doing Pilates a few doors away from here so it's perfect for a quick grab lunch with healthier options. Never a line before noon. The drive-thru attendant Tristan was very patient with me as a first-time customer. Menu had a lot of things I enjoy. He informed me of manager special and answered all of my food questions without making me feel like a burden or rushed. Food was delicious and my husband & I enjoyed it all! We got Chef Salad and Club. I visited again this week and was happy to hear & see Tristan again. I told him he was the reason I returned so soon. Have not been inside but maybe soon. I have seriously been waiting for a Jason's in Lexington so I was really excited to see it open. I love their salad bar. For $8.29 you can really get a good salad (or 2 or 3!) with all the toppings your heart desires. They also offer free chocolate or vanilla soft serve ice cream. It's a really nice atmosphere for a fast casual restaurant. It has more of a upscale and very modern vibe and I love how they use organic ingredients. Nice addition to Lexington! read more

Underwhelming overall. I ordered a caprese panini and they were out of the focaccia bread that it comes on, not a big deal just weird for them to be out of it just 2 hours after opening, I requested to have it on the sourdough instead. It was brought out to the table and I noticed that I had been mistakenly given the chicken caprese instead of just the regular caprese. Again, not a big deal, I would still eat it. Unfortunately, I went to pick up the sandwich and saw a thick dark hair resting on the mozzarella where the sandwich had been cut. The staff was very nice about replacing it and making it without the chicken, and they apologized for the hair. Sadly, this was the most bland tasting caprese sandwich I've ever had. Perhaps the flavor of the pesto just overwhelmed the natural caprese flavors, but it was disappointing because I'm a big traditional caprese fan. I also order the tomato basil soup. This was more of a bisque in my opinion, and again, lacking in flavor. read more

Went here for lunch with a friend for the first time and I am giving it four stars for its salad bar. I didn't really care for their spicy seafood gumbo soup as I didn't have any pieces of seafood in my soup. The soup lacked depth and heartiness that I look for when eating gumbo. The salad bar was always kept stocked and clean. It had a variety of salad items and salad dressings. I opted for the salad bar and soup but the next time I come I will try one of their sandwiches instead. It was a good experience in my first visit, just was not impressed with their gumbo soup. First time at Jason's Deli. I've been working pretty hard this last couple of weeks and couldn't shake a hankering for a Reuben. They have a sandwich called Reuben the Great. It is gianormous! It's 1/2 lb of corned beef or pastrami, Swiss, and sauerkraut w thousand island dressing on grilled rye. It comes with chips which are house made. Their offerings include a variety of sandwiches, pastas, salads, soups and desserts. The also offer free ice cream if that's your thing. My wife liked the vanilla cone. As for the sandwich, it was impressive, and I couldn't finish the whole thing. The chips were warm, and the staff were friendly. The salad bar was just ok. But that was the only point of improvement I saw. In all Jason's hit 5/5 for a great lunch experience and filling my wanting soul and stomach with an amazing Reuben sammich. read more

I was excited when we finally got a Jason's Deli in Lexington. I have been to several in other cities and always loved the food. Finally Lexington has one too! I usually go for the Managers Special and get a 1/2 sandwich with one of their soups. Their enormous salad bar could be substituted for the soup but I've never done it. I've tried a bunch of their sandwiches and each one has been delicious. So try one and I'm sure you will enjoy. I usually get their chili and it's meaty with a bit of spice. Once you are done they have soft serve ice cream included and graham crackers on the salad bar. Service is always fast and friendly. read more

Speaking of salad bar, that's what I got, but I wasn't impressed. No meat, with the exception of bacon bits. Out of ranch, shredded cheese and other things... After my first trip and settling for a dressing I didn't like, I went back up and waited for ranch dressing. The gloveless attendant went in the back and brought another empty ranch back out... it was so strange. And the ice cream machine was down. My daughter got the baked potato. Although it was one of the most expensive baked potatoes that I've ever bought, it was probably the largest sized baked potatoes that I've ever laid eyes on. I will admit that my visit has been awhile ago, close to when they first opened. So glad this opened here!! The manager was one we'd spoken to at the Rookwood location in Cincinnati where he had (last year) informed ya of this one soon to come. Finally remembered it was here when I had a couple appointments today nearby. Arrived on opening, it was clean, nice atmosphere. I ordered the salad bar & a half JB's Southwest turkey. Grabbed Togo here yesterday after a workout. Simple broccoli cheddar soup and some pickles on the side. The soup was still piping hot by the time I arrived at my destination, and the pickles are adorable as they are individually wrapped in plastic sleeves. The did not actually go to this restaurant. I had a luncheon that was catered by Jason's Deli. I had a turkey sandwich, kettle chips, pickle, and a chocolate chip cookie. Went to Jason's Deli in Nashville and I loved how different of a restaurant it was than everywhere else I've been before. I didn't know they had one here in Lexington but once I found that out I couldn't wait to go. I don't know when this one was built but it looks brand new on the inside and outside. All the workers are very nice and the restaurant is very clean. Jason deli is a very family friendly environment, and the food is delicious! They have a salad bar and an ice cream machine, so it's practically like a smaller and way better version of Golden Corral. The only thing to complain about is that the bathroom wasn't that clean and is kinda small but other than that everything else is a 10/10 read more

I did not visit the location, I was at a lunch event where they served Jason's Deli lunch boxes. There was a selection of sandwiches to choose from ham, turkey, (some with cheese), chicken salad, and there was a salad with ham and turkey. My ham sandwich was cut in half, each had a good amount of ham one small half slice of tomato and one leaf of lettuce. The box lunch included a pickle spear (very crispy ) , kettle chips, a large soft cookie, and a soft drink. Each item had Jason's Deli on it, even the mustard and mayo packets, and wrapping paper ( not the pop). I enjoyed my lunch as did the others in the group. read more

I am not sure why service is getting progressively worse at this location; however, today, I was buying lunch for my coworker. I put in that I wanted a ham and cheese on a croissant and a strawberry shortcake. I was given both the croissant and strawberry shortcake and for the first time out of all my visits, I was not given any chips with my order. Yes, I had found that they throw in a pickle and a bag of chips along with the sandwich on my first two visits and yet NOTHING on this visit. O_o It's like Buffalo Wild Wings with their "at least 6 wings for $5.99". O_o So that means you can get LESS than that if THEY choose to. In this case, they can withhold chips (which is probably included in the price because no sandwich, except for Disney World, should one ever charge $7.29!) When I see "Deli" attached to a place, I'm skeptical. If, like me, you're a New York bred, you'll understand without further explanation. I had to have the Reuben which I figured would be the yardstick. The plate was too small for the sandwich and the accompanying mound of chips(which I could have done without). Pickles go with a Reuben, guys, not chips. It was a good sized sandwich, but the "rye bread" was not a true Jewish rye, therefore, it wasn't hearty enough to hold up to it. The corned beef, though plentiful and lean, was missing that unmistakable taste so prevalent in that which is authentic. Nice interior with plenty of tables, and servers were attentive. Someone I knew use to say, "If you don't know the difference, there is no difference". Knowing the difference, I'm unlikely to return. read more
