I stole a bite of my friends pimento cheese and it was super yummy and creamy too! While it was a full house we grabbed a table and it was comfortable to sit and have a conversation. They will give you samples if you are unsure which you would prefer. We had pasta salad and broccoli salad with our meal. Service was great! Even though it was busy we got our food quickly. The restaurant is decorated nicely. It's like having lunch at your granny's house! Vinyl table cloths always remind me of my granny's house. I also appreciate the drink station! I've been a loyal customer of Chicken Salad Chick for years, often ordering $100+ of food for holidays and guests. A favorite item has always been the potato soup. In the past, the franchise owner explained it could be sold heated in gallon bags (per health regulations), which allowed me to freeze it later. However, in both 2024 and October 2025, my orders were prepared in quarts instead, despite my clear request to keep it in the gallon bag heated. Staff told me it was against regulations, which contradicted what I had previously been told. When I raised the issue, I was treated as though I was being rude rather than a frustrated paying customer. Even the owner told me she "did not have to serve me at all" -- after already accepting my $119 order. The food itself is good, but the inconsistency, lack of staff training, and poor customer service are disappointing. If gallon soups can no longer be sold in bags, that should be made clear on the website and through staff, so customers aren't given conflicting information. read more

Always a great sign when the place is packed as soon as they open. Parking isn't that great due to all of the shops in the Brannon Crossing strip but it's worth the walk. My favorite is the "fancy Nancy" chicken salad because it has grapes and nuts in it. I pick up the pre-packaged portion and they give me all the crackers I want. For $8, it makes a great lunch and better than eating a burger! They always have a ton of people working there and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. The only thing I haven't tried yet are the daily soup specials but everyone around me was getting a "pick 2" with a sandwich and soup. Definitely try it! read more

The food is great. I've eaten here several times and never had an issue with the food. There is a blonde girl with blue eyes she is the sweetest she complimented my phone case. So super sweet. Today I went in and I ordered through the app and drove straight to the store and said my order name. The lady who I am guessing is the owner was standing and said there's no order it declined. I responded back "shut up no way" and reached for my phone and she said "Yup they sent an email". Firstly you didn't even greet me you just immediately said my card declined. I've worked in food service and my father owns 3 restaurants. I know the situation of an order declining and through email you'd receive the notification. I didn't know that happened until I drove the 22 minutes from my house to get there and you told me in a smart a** way yeah it declined. The look in her eyes was as if I was claiming a free meal from them and it rubbed me the wrong way. I made another order and sat and ate my food. I love the restaurant but if you're the owner lady you gotta do better. I felt embarrassed you said that so loud. I've been a regular customer here very excited to have a chicken salad chick in our neighborhood. however, I'm disappointed about a month ago. I got a dozen of their mini cookies. They're all individually wrapped packaged in one bag and they were stale. Today when I went in and ordered a sandwich, the croissant was stale. I ordered it without lettuce and tomato and it came with lettuce and tomato I understand errors happen. It's the stale items that concerns me. I have been wanting to try this place forever and while I was suiting Lexington I finally did. It's a really cute place and decorated so nice. The staff is so helpful and you can sample anything. I ordered the chicken salad blt with the Olivia Old South which has sweet pickles and egg. The bread was toasted with robust tomatoes. You get a side item. They have grape salad broccoli salad potato soup and a few more goodies. I got the soup of the day chicken artichoke. One of the best I have ever had. The food in general is ok. The recipes are all standard. Certainly nothing new and innovative. I've made chicken salad etc...similar but better for 50 years. It's good for a quick bite but not a meal! I'm glad they are doing well though. I like to see small business (even franchises) do well. its nice that workers from the area have a place to eat that isn't a greasy spoon. But I'll make my own chicken salad, egg and pimento cheese. i'll admit i've not tried their soups or broccoli salad. i am a soup fanatic. So hopefully they are above standard. I had the Dixie Chick (w/onion), my fav, because my mother made her chicken salad that way. It is delicious and takes me back. I've most of the others, and they're good too. Although I would skip the Classic as it lacks a little something. Think of it as the blank canvas the other flavors start from. My sister got the Lemon Basil, always a solid choice. She had a scoop, I went for toasted Wheatberry. Its a personal preference, but chicken salad on toast makes me happy. As for sides .... go with either Pasta or Broccoli Salad. Both are terrific and you won't be disappointed. I've tried the Mac& Cheese at 2 different locations ... tasteless. No flavor, nothing redeeming whatsoever. Its the only reason I can't give them a 5 star. I love this place. But Mac&Cheese isn't hard and this effort is inconsistent with everything else they do great. Fruit side is weak too. Small portion, bland, flavorless. Stick with the 2 salads mentioned. I haven't tried the soups yet, maybe this fall. Hopefully they are on par with the main course here. She took it to the next level with creating multiple flavours of chicken salad using different ingredients. My favorite is Fancy Nancy that has grapes, apples, and pecans in basic chicken salad. Delicious!! She has some sweet varieties as well as some savoury and some spicy. They also make egg salad and pimento cheese. Pimento cheese was a staple on my home growing up. So it is nice remembering my mom while enjoying a wonderful lunch. The salads come on croissants, bread, toast, and scoops with crackers. Anyway you want it. Their sides include a broccoli salad with bacon, onion, cheese and a sweet dressing. My granddaughter likes the kids turkey sandwich with a fruit salad side. And to top it all off, everyone gets an individually wrapped sugar cookie with a button of icing on top. Perfect way to end the meal. They offer catering as well as easy pick up containers to go of all of their salads. The service has always been top notch and the inside of the restaurant reminds you of a sweet little cafe. My friends always rave about this joint and thought I'd try it out for myself to my dismay they forgot my large order of chicken salad and it was too pricey to just overlook that error had to drive across town again to pick it up wasn't even given anything to compensate except a few free small sugar cookies.
