    BEST BURGER EVER

AMAZING! OMG! I ordered like half the menu with my friend and everything was perfect! I've never seen a vegan place that has vegan wings with bones and an egg breakfast burger with an egg that looks so real!

    Chopped cheese

Was in town visiting and found this food truck. I had the 10 piece wings (Bourbon BBQ, Caribbean Jerk, Detroit Hot Homey, and Hot) and a chopped cheese. The wings were so good; each sauce held up on its own. These also reheated great in the air fryer the next day. The chopped cheese was decent; I was hoping for more cheesy or it's missing some kind of sauce. I'll probably skip the mustard if I order another.

After following Moody' Mike's on IG for a long while, I was excited to check them out while spending a holiday weekend in Lexington. This food truck popped up at Pivot Brewing and the gal working was super friendly and helpful. She let us know that most of their "meats" they make themselves which I appreciate. The Verax caught my attention just because it's not self-explanatory. So the gal let me know that it's a fried chicken sandwich dipped in spicy agave, topped with slaw and hot pickles. She gave me utensils along with the sandwich because she said that it gets pretty messy. Indeed it is! And so worth the messiness! Perfect mix between crunchy, chewy, tangy, spicy, and sweet. Totally worth ordering again! https://bit.ly/48rGQuj We also ordered the Cheezeburger rolls with a Bourbon BBQ sauce. Yum! https://bit.ly/3PYY3UZ For dessert, we had the Cherry Bourbon Fudge and OMG it's so good!!! Great flavor! https://bit.ly/3RwJw3W It will take a few more visits to Lexington but I would love to work my way through their menu. I've got my eye on their Totchos.

    Cheeseburger egg rolls & wing

Wonderful service and equally wonderful food. I ordered two cheeseburger egg rolls, the verax (minus coleslaw, add lettuce and tomatoes) & an oatmeal cream pie. They threw in a wing as a bonus. Everything was cooked to order (except the dessert). All items were delicious, reasonably priced and perfect portion sizes. FYI: the only nut based products are items made with "mayo" & the honey mustard sauce. I would definitely return. I already want another oatmeal cream pie. A thousand times better than the original!

    Yum

Traveling to SC found this great place. Great customer service and was able to accommodate me with my gluten intolerance. He gave me so much suggestions. Food was so delicious

    Chicken wings

Surprise your non-vegan friends with this food! DELISH! The wings are creatively made by forming them around sugar cane making everything edible! Soooo good! Tried all the sauces for the wings and the chicken sando is better than chick-fil-a....

better batter burger and oatmeal creme pue

pulled into Pivot to fill a growler and maybe have a sip, got parked next to a snack wagon and made my way around to the service window where I was met by a lady extolling the pleasures that await. the funny thing is she wasn't Mike! ...but she had my attention spinning tales of veganese cuisine. Pretty soon 'Mike' shows up and apologizes for the kitchen being closed. not real happy about that but sometimes life is unfair that way. about five minutes later 'Mike' comes into the tap room and says the kitchen is open again because there's now about a half dozen other folks have showed up wanting a little something too... YEA LIFE!! got me a better batter burger thing and an oatmeal creme pie sandwich dessert for after - burger wasn't much to look at but tasted alright (battery with a hint of vegan!) a sandwich of substance that satisfied my hunger as most vegans will (and it pairs well with Rapacious Wit.) got around to the oatie-pie after giving it a day to regain its composure in the refrigerator... would have been perfect under some ultra-premium vanilla iced creams

    Totchos

We showed up at 1125 because the google listing said open at 11. they don't open until 12, google is wrong fyi. So we left to find another option but Lexington is seriously lacking in vegan options so we ended up back here around 1150. Mike opened up for us and was very pleasant to us throughout the whole ordering experience. My mother-in-law ordered a spicy chicken sandwich not quite sure what to expect, she asked if the Cajun (I believe it was Cajun) fries were very hot, Mike assured us that they were not. After the fry question, maybe one could consider saying hey the fries aren't very hot but the sandwich you ordered is like a blazing furnace of pain so maybe order something else? But no, not a peep. We continued our order, we got totchos, pizza rolls, wings half and half, a blt, & a oatmeal cream pie type of thing. Now let me preface by saying the vegan community (everywhere I have been at least) does a great disservice by leaving way better reviews/ratings simply because it is a vegan place or has vegan options. While I'm all for supporting businesses by leaving a good review, I think honesty is important. Moody mikes is solid but in serious need of some attention to detail. For example, the wings were cold inside as if not completely cooked. They were still edible but they were cold. The sauces we chose were delicious. The hit at the table was the totchos. They were great. The pizza rolls we had were also very tasty. As mentioned above, the spicy chicken sandwich was so spicy none of us could eat it, including my husband who is like the king of hot foods. Seriously this guy puts hot sauce on anything. We threw it away. The bummer is that you could tell the chicken was probably a slam dunk and it looked great. I think just an oversight on their behalf. (Remember we asked if the fries were especially spicy, why not mention the heat level on the sandwich?) the blt had sooo much potential. The bread was good and the lettuce and tomato were both fresh and of good quality. The problem is the main part of a Blt (the B). I believe it was rice paper bacon which is so good when done right but this was burnt. Not crispy or well done but burnt to bitterness. Unpleasant. The fries were good and the cookie sandwich was good as well. I think part of our not terrible but not great experience was showing up too early and then not doing our due diligence to really read between the lines of the mostly positive, raving reviews. I will definitely try again some time in the future, I think that it's not 100% fair to judge based on one visit, but it was pretty meh. The good was good and the bad was bad.

Wingz - with Buffalo sauce and Caribbean Jerk sauce
    Priya A.

As a lifelong vegetarian, I thought the wingz were delicious - great flavor. My non vegan husband was impressed with the taste and texture. Highly recommend the Caribbean jerk sauce if you like spice. You have got to try these!

Moody Mikes is terrific! Their menu is 100% vegan and every item I've tried has been great. If you're a first timer, I would recommend their wingz, chickn sandwiches, loaded not pulled pork fries and don't forget to grab one of their oatmeal cream pies. You will not leave hungry! Moody Mike's serves up large portions for low prices and are always creating new menu items. The owners are super kind folks and it's obvious they put a lot of love into their food.

Loved having the food truck located at Pivot Brewing. I had egg rolls and wings which were delicious. I'd definitely go back just for the food but also the convenient location outside of the brewery

Favor is the passion project of chef Wyatt Sarbacker and features a small rotating menu. While the burgers and empanadas are always on the menu, other items change seasonally or according to availability. Wyatt prides himself and Favor on using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients and building an eco friendly, environmentally sustainable culinary experience. The space is intimate, mostly counter seating aside from one large community dining table in the adjoining room, but it's bright and welcoming. The kitchen is completely open and you can see everything Wyatt is doing as he prepares your meal. And this is an impressive one man show! It amazed us how Wyatt made it look easy (though I'm sure it's not). He was preparing multiple dishes from multiple orders simultaneously and delivered them promptly at a great pace that allowed us to enjoy each dish without feeling hurried. We ate almost every dish on the menu. Dish sizes vary, some small, some larger, but it worked out wonderfully that there were three of us, as we could eat in a tapas style, sharing all of the tasty foods. The empanadas were first, and come with a rotating sauce accompaniment. They were soft and hot, and the filling was delicious. I can't remember the filling, but I remember black beans were involved, and it was actually one of my favorite dishes. Such a compact, juicy, savory bite. We also had the lion's mane mushroom, made with pea shoots, lemon, and creole mustard. This is a mushroom served like a crab cake. You could really taste the earthy mushroom flavor and the creole mustard was the perfect addition. We also had the crispy Brussels, made with shishito peppers, onion, and maple miso dressing. Wyatt did Brussels sprouts incredibly well. Often you go to a place and they are burnt or charred and have that taste. These were cooked to perfection and had a smoky, yet sweet taste. And who could resist a giant plate of fries? These fries are fresh cut potatoes and my dinner companion compared them to the famous "Five Guys" fries that everyone raves about. The true star here is the curry ketchup. No ordinary ketchup, this thrills the tastebuds. We were excited to hear that Wyatt will hopefully be releasing some of his own sauces soon. We also had the cheeseburger, which is a smashburger. I have complained about the smashburger trend endlessly, as I tend to like a thick, medium burger. But this burger was VERY good. Melted with cheese, on his HOMEMADE buns, this one gets a pass as "one of the good ones." We finished up with chocolate chunk cookies, which were served hot with ooey gooey melted chocolate chips. Made with rye flower and bittersweet chocolate, as well as cranberries, poppyseeds, and sea salt, this cookie had such a unique savory flavor. The more we tasted them, the more we loved them. I'm not a "sweets" type of person, so this type of cookie is ideal for me. I wish I could have bought a dozen to take home to my husband. You can get cocktails from arcadium, right by the restaurant, which I've reviewed previously. They make light refreshing daiquiris and gin gimlets, which is what we ordered. My companion liked their old fashioned. Prices for Flavor are insanely well priced. Despite this experiencing being worth so much more, prices range from sub-ten dollars to 18 dollars. Wyatt was warm and welcoming and interesting. We had an amazing evening and have already discussed when we would come back, who we would bring, or whether we might have next year's birthday bash there as a private event. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening, Wyatt, I am glad I finally figured out the reservation system!
