    Fried Ribs Dinner

If you're looking for a delicious southern style meal, Sassy Bleu is perfect. Fast friendly service with a variety of options that you'd find in your grandmas house, assuming you're from the south. The fried chicken was perfect! The fried ribs were good and the collard greens awesome. The Mac and cheese was just ok though. The cheese sauce had broken so it was a little grainy. Next time I will try the corn pudding as a replacement.

My daughter was recommended this restaurant and the Sassy Bleu and they did not disappoint. The restaurant was lovely, our server was nice, and the food was delicious! Will keep them in mind for catering as well.

I was in the mood for Soul Food and decided to go to Sassy Bleu. Sassy Bleu is more upscale than other souls food places in the area. I was one impressed by the knowledgeable staff. The hours on the door read they close at 10:30 but when we got there we were told they close at 9 pm. The menu was limited since we got there at 8:45. The only minus was the food was not hot and they only had fried food available. This was disappointing, but the food had great flavor. I will definitely be back.

The food was absolutely amazing. I didn't get a photo of everything but we also had sweet potatoes, wings, grits, catfish bites, and the soul rolls. I would highly recommend. The service was also great. Thank you for such a fun and unique spot. I can't wait to go back!

We loved this place! The catfish was seasoned super well although the fish itself could've been better. With that being said, I ate every bite. The sides were what stole the show. The collard greens were so good! They had flavor without being overly salty. The corn pudding, macaroni and cheese, and corn bread were all also PHENOMENAL.

Very good value for Lunch, and friendly staff. To start the staff is very friendly, saying hi to everyone that walked in and very welcoming. The inside is clean and has big windows to bring in light. The bar is very nice, wish they had more beers on tap but seems like they have a lot in cans and bottles. The burger was very good, patty was juicy, had some pink, seasoned well. The sauce gave it a sweet and tang, combined with the egg, onion rings and fried pickles complemented the flavors. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. Definitely worth the trip. They have a red velvet chicken and waffle I will need to try next time.

    Lamb Chop Dinner

Visiting from Louisiana and looked up black owned restaurants and found Sassy Bleu! When I tell you AMAZING!! Everything was so good, we tried the lamb chops, fried ribs, fried catfish and the sides. Jeremiah gave amazing service.. And the ambiance is perfect for date nights, family dinner, or date nights.

Uber Eats saying no because I have no photo

I order on Uber Eats and was waiting for 20 mins once it said it was done inside saying 5 times. They're proceed to say I will check. When the kitchen is already closed they tell me their Uber Eats tablet was down and they never received my order which means you never check the other 4 times I said I'm picking up my order I want my money back and because I don't have a photo of the kitchen being down Uber Eats will not give me a refund horrible time overall never ordering here again

    Southern Catfish Dinner

I don't even know where to start! I was visiting Kentucky for a weekend and craved back home soul food. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The breading on the catfish was excellent! All sides were seasoned to perfection. The ambiance of the place gives off is second to none, beautiful flower setup, the bar is nice and it almost feels as if I'm at home whilst being here. The server was very attentive, we were never left wondering.

First time at Sassy Bleu and the food was good! I was with a big party so the service was a little bit of a miss. It took a long time for our drink orders and food to come out & then there were mistakes. However, the vibe is really nice! It also has a great layout for large gatherings in that my party had its own room- I loved that! I will need to give Sassy Bleu another try when I'm not with a large party to see how the service truly is but I do look forward to returning.

Most of the seating is indoor inside of the Micher's Greenhouse there, so even if the weather hadn't of been nice it would have been a great time. There was great live music as well. We decided to get a bavarian pretzel to split, as well as her getting their raspberry crepe while I decided on their lemon curd crepe. Everything we had to eat was fantastic. Everything else I saw on the menu sounded delicious. Service was also quick and fantastic. The kitchen was pumping out food quick and the wait staff had it out to us as soon as possible. I'll always recommend this as a nice date spot for others.

Weird experience. The food is fine, healthy-ish, but nothing to write home about. My husband's…read morenoodle salad was my favorite, followed by my cauliflower salad. I thought the beet & giant bean salad was meh, the pieces are cut huge so you really get about 4 beans and 6 pieces of beet. The grilled cheese is actually half a grilled cheese, which didn't have much cheese on it, and tasted faintly of horseradish. I couldn't finish mine. The hummus was good, you just don't get very much. Focaccia was alright, would have been better warmed. We ordered a Bavarian pretzel plate, which also came out room temp. I think that's a first for me at a restaurant. The focaccia, ok, it's for dipping and that's easier when it isn't so soft. But the pretzel? Like did it just get pulled out of a bag and tossed on the plate? I can't speak to the cheese because I tried it with mustard. There was so much horseradish in the mustard it almost blew my head off. I'm sure some people love that but I'm not one of them. Speaking of blowing up, a woman on a laptop had a kid that was goofing off around her table. He laid down on the bench and started sweeping rocks at some old lady. The old lady turns around to tell him to stop and the mom lost it on her. Like screeching. Idk, I get it to a certain extent but if you're trusting the world to watch your kid while you work, don't be surprised when the world asks your kid to not throw rocks at them. Then when I bussed my table (which I thought was what we are supposed to do here), there's a single bus tub to the right of the ordering window. To get there, I cut across the line sideways and not one but several people are giving side-eye because they had to *gasp* make way for someone to take their plates up. That's also where the bathroom is, so good luck if you sit to the left of the line, because apparently the other patrons expect you to walk through a maze of tables behind the line to get to the far side of the cafe. Summary: the food is fine, but not worth the rest of the experience. It's surprisingly unorganized and while it is beautiful, you can get better health food at the co-op or Whole Foods. The clientele on a Thursday morning was so uppity I would never come back.

This visit marked our third time at OBC Kitchen, and once again, it did not disappoint. This time we experimented with timing and booked an early reservation at 2:45 pm on a Saturday. We crossed over into the dinner menu and discovered something wonderful: the service and ambiance were even better than the busier evening hours after 6 pm. The staff was exceptionally attentive. Every dish and cocktail option was explained thoughtfully, which I appreciate, especially because I enjoy cocktails that come with a bit of theater. When drinks are presented with care, described well, and executed beautifully, the experience becomes part performance, part craft. Here, they delivered perfectly. The food, as always, was superb. We shared several chef selections including Beef Tallow Fries, Southern Grouper, Bacon in a Glass, and the Cola-Braised Short Ribs. Each dish was rich, flavorful, and confidently executed. Dessert continued the celebration with the Churro Cheesecake, and to our delight we were also gifted the Warm Buttermilk Donuts, which felt like a small act of culinary generosity. In a departure from my usual Manhattan and Old Fashioned flights, I tried a Bloody Mary and The Cure, both excellent and beautifully balanced. At this point I can confidently say OBC Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in the country. The consistency, creativity, and hospitality make every visit memorable. A special thank you to the team who took care of us on Saturday, March 7th, 2026. You elevated an already wonderful experience and made it even better than usual.
