My second time supporting this new business & it will be my last. I stopped in to order dinner to-go with four children. I specifically asked the young lady at the counter how many chicken tenders were in the $8 Kid's Meal. She said two. I asked if a drink was included she said no. No problem. I got 4 Kid's meals. Two hot dog & fries & two chicken tenders & fries. Waited a pretty significant time, two other orders were done before mine. A couple that was there before me & a couple that ordered after me. Received the order & left without checking the boxes. To my surprise once I got home...only one chicken tender! So I called the business to inquire & repeated what I was told during my selections, was told you only get one...how disappointing that staff communication is not consistent. Nor was good customer service prioritized! I would have honored what was said initially. One chicken tender!? I can go across the street to Wendy's & depending on time, I can get a drink, toy, 4 nuggets, AND fries for under $5!!! That's where I'll return. Lemon Pepper wings were not fried hard & were not crispy enough for my preference.

Fabulous food. The fried pork chops are like grandmas. Try the homemade chocolate cake. Always friendly staff. Super clean also.

First off,I'm a Chef and I can tell you I'm mad,REALLY MAD I just found out about this place. My…read morefather took me there when I visited him and he told me the oxtails were best he's had (he's 90 and has eaten several herds of oxtails so that's a bold statement) and I wanted to try them. While they're not on the menu all the time, along with some other specials he sprinkles in every so often,I felt lucky to try them and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT.The greens were fully dressed with onion and tomato just like my aunt used to make and I'm telling you the oxtails tasted like he had an army of country Baptist grannies in the back (he did not). The hot water cornbread reminded me of my moms and the gravy for the oxtails could've been a side all by itself,no joke. I've only eaten like this at the home of an elderly relative,NEVER at a restaurant. It's a fact that not everyone can cook oxtails like this and I can't wait to go back there because those salmon croquettes are in trouble. If you wanna eat and I mean REALLY EAT...you need to get in there as soon as you can. This man,his wife and the staff know exactly what they're doing and they're doing it the right way. I was scared to have dessert because I thought it might put me to sleep after that meal I had and they don't allow sleeping in the booths. I cannot stress enough how good that food made me feel in my feels. The line starts here with mastering the art of home cooking in a very comfortable atmosphere. Great home cooking not at home just doesn't happen, unless you walk yourself in there. WELL DONE and thank you for the experience....I'm coming back for those croquettes,I'm as serious as that gravy was!!!!!

After looking it over we settled for the rib plate and the ribeye steak plate. Sides were mashed potatoes, green beens, cabbage and baked beans. We also received a hoe cake with each meal and purchased the strawberry cake and caramel cake. All food was packaged well and was at correct temperatures. We enjoyed our selection and found everything scrumptious and delicious. Only thing we'd change is thickness of ribeye steak. For $22 it should be thicker. We'd definitely go back. There is seating inside enough for groups. It was pretty quiet with a chill vibe inside.

Customer service started off strong but slowed down a bit as the night went on. I ordered the fried chicken with mac and cheese, greens, and cabbage. I was told beforehand that slower food times are pretty normal here, so I expected a bit of a wait. Luckily I wasn't starving when I arrived. The chicken came out fresh, hot, and steaming, which I appreciated because you could tell it was made to order. The sides were good too, especially the greens. Overall, a solid spot with good food and a nice atmosphere.

We did make reservations so they were expecting us. This was on a Monday night. For the size of our party as well as other patrons that were in the restaurant (and it was full) they only had two hostesses working. And they were also serving. Well, really one lady was taking orders. The other young lady was helping her bring the food out. There was a bartender who took our drink orders, but she was also managing DoorDash orders. We arrived at 6 PM and it took about 90 minutes to 2 hours for our food to come out after ordering it. First of all, it took a very long time for them to even come around and take our order, then the bartender had to come and take our drink orders. It took her 90 minutes to even start to make the drinks. And when I asked her what was taking so long, she said that there were only two people working. By the way, there was also another large party in the back room celebrating a birthday. I just don't understand why the owners, who knew about these two large parties in advance, would only have 2 to 3 staff working. I will say that the food was amazing! I guess it was worth the wait. I ordered the catfish with macaroni and cheese and the sweet potato casserole. Everything was delicious. Other people in my group ordered the chicken and waffles, salmon and lamb chops, etc. Everyone enjoyed their food. Because I wanted to try the chicken and waffles, I decided to place a to go order the following Wednesday evening. I placed it through DoorDash. I placed my order at around 6:30 PM, the app told me it wouldn't be ready until 7:01 PM. I kept checking in the app and I noticed that the order had never been updated so I called the restaurant to make sure that they had received the order. The young lady who took my call, said that she made a mistake and never confirmed the order. But that it would be ready in 7 minutes. I waited another 10 minutes before going inside. Upon letting them know that I was there for my DoorDash order. I was told that it would be another 5 minutes. It turned out to be another 15 minutes. Another long wait. I have to say, however, the chicken and waffles weren't that great. The chicken was just OK, the waffles tasted like wet paper. I don't know what it was. They weren't buttermilk. I can't place my finger on what they tasted like. They were just very plain and soggy and not good. So overall, most of the food is good; the staff is nice, but you can tell they are stressed out and overworked. If you're not in any hurry, then you won't mind waiting an hour or more for your food. Just keep ordering drinks or eat a small snack in advance. I don't know if I'd ever return. Definitely I wouldn't return on an empty stomach.

My grandmother was hungry for some fried chicken and was a small business owner and, like me, prefers to support local. She said it was some of the best fried chicken she ever had, and it heated well for the next day. We ordered a variety of chicken and sides. Several people complimented the yams and they were delicious. (I ate them as my dessert). The mac n' cheese was super creamy and flavorful. The green beans were awesome as well. There is a digital menu and the ambiance is more modern take on takeout. (Well done, in my opinion). This is a TAKEOUT only location but there are local parks close by and the food was still hot and tasty when we got it home. They also have small cake slices for sale if you need some sweets to go along with your meal. They also offer larger bulk buys that include drinks. This is our new go-to for chicken!!! Super flavorful with a great texture. The mac and cheese was decent..I'd put that at second. Good flavor, just a little mushy, but nothing to really complain about. The chicken was cooked really well! It came out fresh and very crispy, but it needed more seasoning to really take it there. I will say, the prices are really good and the staff was nice, so overall it was a solid experience.

If you're not familiar with the Greyline Station, it's a former bus depot which has been transformed into a miniature mall of sorts, with numerous vendors located inside, and I had read a sign that they hold a Farmer's Market on Wednesday evenings from 5:00-7:00 pm. The facility has an accommodatingly large parking lot with plenty of spaces. Nowwwww, to the REAL reason for this review! Once I parked and exited my vehicle, I smelled the most amazing fried chicken, and immediately searched for the source of such an enticing aroma. As I walked towards the building, I saw two nice gentleman sitting outside of the building, near a sign that said Wing KYng, and AHA, SCORE, I found the source of the wonderful fried chicken aroma! Those two gentlemen happened to work in Wing KYng. I told them once I procured my one sought out item in the farmer's market inside the building, I would be returning to procure some of that chicken. Upon my return to Wing KYng, I began asking my typical questions: do they have anything gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and egg free? The staff member was very knowledgeable and advised me that the dry rubs were my best option. I have a myriad of food sensitivities, so I browsed the dry rub options available, and chose a 6 piece chicken wings with Lemon Pepper dry rub. O M Goodness!!Fabulous is the first word to come to mind! The skin was so delectably crunchy, the chicken was moist and tender, and the flavor was perfectly balanced! The cost was $12.00, which is a great price in my mind for the best fried chicken I've had in a good many years. Although I cannot speak to these items, they offer a wide variety of flavors, dips, and Parmesan coated home cut French fries as well. I witnessed one staff member actually cutting the potatoes for the French fries. Truly nice folks work here, and the chicken was phenomenal!!! I will be returning here for sure!
