I finally got here around 8:30am Friday (9/4). When I walked in I was surprised at how many people were here sitting at tables. I will say the noise level was on the louder side which is why I decided to sit outside . Well and to pet the cat as well! The line had 3 customers in front of me but went quickly. The man at the register was friendly enough. I didn't wait long for the barista to call my name. I just ordered a basic iced latte but they have a variety of espresso based flavored drinks like s'mores that sounded really good. The condiment area was well stocked and clean and the empty tables were clean as well. The space itself is designed very nicely and its cozy yet spacious at the same time. They have a pastry case with a variety of items that looked really good however I didn't get any. I sat out front in their garden for a little while and I was the only one sitting outside so it was peaceful. Their landscaping is done tastefully and its pleasing to the eye. As for parking I can't comment on that as I walked from where we live. On a sidenote its literally around the corner from Wilson's Grocery. That's pretty convenient. read more

My family and I used to love this place, but the prices are going up and quality is going down. Paid $10 for two standard drip coffees this morning, and they were incredibly watered down. Horrible tasting and disappointing start to the day. Staff has an attitude as well. They acted like I was bothering them when I ordered my $10 drip coffees. Hopefully they turn it around. read more

Their espresso roast kinda just tastes like a Nespresso to me. They have a super cool environment though and they constantly have life bands. There was a live band from 5:30pm to 7:30pm today. I would definitely come back for the environment, but not the actual coffee. read more

This place is great! The gardens outside are beautiful; offering nice outdoor seating. Inside is big and spacious with plenty of places to sit. It's quite busy so grab a table when you can. They have a great selection of coffee and freshly baked good. Prices are expensive but expected for a local coffee shop - $6 coffee and $8 sandwiches. I ordered the caprese and it was delicious! They also have alcohol service so you can come here for morning mimosas or evening drinks. Free WiFi and dog friendly. Staff is also very nice and front facing. I will be coming back!! read more

A very cute little spot for coffee and breakfast treats. I had the special, a lavender honey latte. It wasnt quite hot enough for me, but a tasty coffee. I believe they make their own syrups. Came in for a coffee, the service was extremely rude, the girl working the register was extremely put off that I was there to order something. The display case was fogged up and she was bothered that I asked what was in it. She also stared me down when the tip screen came up. I ordered an iced Cramer campfire and it came out quickly but the espresso was so hot sitting on top of the ice that it immediately melted the ice and it tasted like watered down syrup and cheap espresso. I stirred it around until the drink was one cohesive temperature and the ice was gone and it was warm. My blueberry muffin came out cold in the middle. Found this cute spot with a Google Search, late night places for coffee! Which led me straight to Yelp of course! So myself and two of my girlfriends headed over to Kenwick and were pleasantly surprised to find this tucked into a quaint neighborhood! It's so cozy and cute and perfect for enjoying conversation and cappuccinos! They also had lovely snacks like pastries and sandwiches. It's a perfect place to hang out and listen to some music and just relax. All the staff was friendly and helpful for our first time visiting. If you're reading this review to decide to come her or not, I would recommend trying it. The mocha I had was good enough. The cat was adorable. The croissant however was not fresh. I am disappointed that I wasted my money. I would rather a coffeeshop not have pastries or sweets at all if they will not be fresh. I understand that it's not a bakery, but it doesn't make sense. Also, don't come if you're older like me and you need friendly service, that's only based on a few trips in though and I know what it's like to be in customer service. read more

Kenwick is a must stop if you're on the hunt for a coffee shop with space to work and great drinks. They had plenty of seating and tables inside and outside. We stopped in on a Sunday midday and it was full but we were able to find a few seats. Bonus points - there's a cat! I have no concept of who the cat is but it hung out with us on a chair. 10/8/23 Came here for a cup of coffee before church with my husband. I ordered the lavender coffee and he had the breve. It took a few minutes to get our coffee but it was hot and delicious when we did. We sat at the communal table and enjoyed it before heading out. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I've followed Kenwick Table on Instagram since they've opened and finally made it over this past week! At 10:30 on a weekday I was so surprised how BUSY they were. Parking is best available on the street with plenty of street parking- but it is in a residential neighborhood with narrow streets. There is a great patio with gorgeous flowers and lots of seating. There is plenty of indoor seating as well. I ordered a matcha latte which was lightly sweetened and it was great. Kenwick Table does offer some pastry options, but it was pretty limited by the time I got there so I skipped it that visit. The noise level is a bit higher so it's probably a better place to meet & chat with friends than it is to study or do work! read more

This place is embedded in a residential area and offers a lovely and distinctively Kentuckian space. I'm told the owner lives next door and wanted to create a neighborhood meeting space, and by the bustle when I arrived, this seemed a success. The beverages are many, both caffeinated and alcoholic. My chai latte was less sweet than most, with a black pepper kick. They had a pastry spread which seemed to be sourced from some of the best local outlets; you could get something savory like hummus as well but I went for an eclair, which was as indulgent as it looked. My friend and I had about 9 hours to kill before our flight back to Florida and decided that we should check out Kenwick for a couple hours... we ended up staying here for 7. This place is really cute and gives a very modern yet hipster feel to it. The barista's are all super welcoming and it seems to have a great following despite being relatively new. Throughout my day here I've had a cheese danish (good) egg casserole and copious amounts of coffee (cold brew and a mocha) One of the things I LOVE about this place is... they sell LIQUOR. Well mainly bourbon, but that's just as good! We both got the Kenwick and the Ashland. Most of the cocktails are more sweet than hardcore but the fact that this coffee shop also serves as a bar is pretty awesome. If I ever come back, which I plan to... I'm coming back! read more

Great drinks, atmosphere, and food but staff needs more training. I go often and never hear my name called out to pickup my drink at the bar and they often forget my food. It's happened now three times in a 2 month period. Took guests here from out of state and they commented on how rude staff was. You're in the heart of Lexington, but you would never know it. It's very community-based, however you can still find a more private area. Especially if you enjoy sitting outside. Threatening them with termination if they didn't show for work during severe weather where people were advised to stay home, is hitting below the belt. A little short on the food or snack choices. Building is very cute and clean, some of the seating well chosen. My togo soup sat on the counter for a little while because I didn't hear them call out that it was ready. Not even sure what they called out??? ONE friendly counter person brought it to me. She was the best part. Might be best to come with or meet a friend. Somehow, it is not quite as welcoming as one might expect it to be. Seems like mostly local clientele who know the drill. The coffee here is great and I appreciate that they serve it in a mug. I also like how they have print newspapers on the tables, including the NY Times. I ordered the veggie casserole. It was ok. They clearly reheated it in a microwave (yuck) because it came out overly hot and the plate was very hot to the touch. First, KUDOS to whoever had the vision to take an old, run-down convenience store and renovate it into this beautiful coffee shop! I don't know the owner but he or she invested in the Kenwick community when no one would fix this building for at least the last 20 years. The exterior is inviting and the interior makes you want to stay for awhile for conversation or reading. Second, the pastries are from bakers that are among the best in Lexington. Visited on Saturday morning around 11. Nestled in the cute Kenwick neighborhood, Kenwick Table is a house has been converted for this equally cute coffee shop. There were some families outside and some college students working inside--lots of little places to work and chat. They had some baked goods from Epping's (and donuts from Spaulding's) but I ordered a chai with oat milk (they only have almond and oat) to go. Waited about 10 minutes. The chai was good, with a decent amount of spice. Would have preferred coconut milk, but it was good. Will definitely be back once they start selling wine. read more

I came here on reccomendation from my friend, I will never come back. Absolutely terrible service!!!! Steer clear. Owner should know that his employees are incredibly disrespectful to the patrons, and do not care about providing good service whatsoever!!!! The brown haired girl and the brown skin man with glasses completely ignored me at the checkout to talk to one another. When they were done with their conversation and finally ready to help me, the man had a terrible attitude with me at the register. I asked a question about the menu and the man just glared at me!!!!! This is a cute spot; larger than anticipated based on the photos I had seen prior to visiting. Light and airy and clean. I got a cappuccino, which was made well and it seems that they have boozy coffees as well. I'm told that they have a nice back patio but they were working on renovations. First of all the drinks are terrible, the matcha is way too sweet. The lavender latte tastes nasty. The employees were very passive aggressive (man with the tan skin and female with the brown hair. One of the female employees came out to tell my mom that we grabbed the wrong drink, and told her the right one on the counter and walked away. There was no writing on the cup. Which is so rude, not even trying to give us the right drink. Btw watch out for the 2 passive agessive employees who rolled their eyes and visibly looked pissed.
