I am disappointed that I wasted my money. I would rather a coffeeshop not have pastries or sweets at all if they will not be fresh. I understand that it's not a bakery, but it doesn't make sense. My family and I used to love this place, but the prices are going up and quality is going down. Paid $10 for two standard drip coffees this morning, and they were incredibly watered down. Horrible tasting and disappointing start to the day. Staff has an attitude as well. They acted like I was bothering them when I ordered my $10 drip coffees. Hopefully they turn it around. read more

Found this cute spot with a Google Search, late night places for coffee! Which led me straight to Yelp of course! So myself and two of my girlfriends headed over to Kenwick and were pleasantly surprised to find this tucked into a quaint neighborhood! It's so cozy and cute and perfect for enjoying conversation and cappuccinos! They also had lovely snacks like pastries and sandwiches. It's a perfect place to hang out and listen to some music and just relax. All the staff was friendly and helpful for our first time visiting. Kenwick is a must stop if you're on the hunt for a coffee shop with space to work and great drinks. They had plenty of seating and tables inside and outside. We stopped in on a Sunday midday and it was full but we were able to find a few seats. Bonus points - there's a cat! I have no concept of who the cat is but it hung out with us on a chair. I almost didn't notice the cat until we sat right next to it. A few people had dogs inside as well. We're going back this weekend to enjoy the nice weather on their patio! read more

Loved it! I stopped in on a Sunday morning before leaving Lexington. The s'mores latte was very good and tasted like s'mores but not overly flavored. The pumpkin chocolate chip scone was very good and I appreciated that they warmed it up. The ambiance was cozy and had a very neighborhood feel. 10/8/23 Came here for a cup of coffee before church with my husband. I ordered the lavender coffee and he had the breve. It took a few minutes to get our coffee but it was hot and delicious when we did. We sat at the communal table and enjoyed it before heading out. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I've followed Kenwick Table on Instagram since they've opened and finally made it over this past week! At 10:30 on a weekday I was so surprised how BUSY they were. Parking is best available on the street with plenty of street parking- but it is in a residential neighborhood with narrow streets. There is a great patio with gorgeous flowers and lots of seating. There is plenty of indoor seating as well. I ordered a matcha latte which was lightly sweetened and it was great. Kenwick Table does offer some pastry options, but it was pretty limited by the time I got there so I skipped it that visit. The noise level is a bit higher so it's probably a better place to meet & chat with friends than it is to study or do work! read more

This place is embedded in a residential area and offers a lovely and distinctively Kentuckian space. I'm told the owner lives next door and wanted to create a neighborhood meeting space, and by the bustle when I arrived, this seemed a success. The beverages are many, both caffeinated and alcoholic. My chai latte was less sweet than most, with a black pepper kick. They had a pastry spread which seemed to be sourced from some of the best local outlets; you could get something savory like hummus as well but I went for an eclair, which was as indulgent as it looked. My friend and I had about 9 hours to kill before our flight back to Florida and decided that we should check out Kenwick for a couple hours... we ended up staying here for 7. This place is really cute and gives a very modern yet hipster feel to it. The barista's are all super welcoming and it seems to have a great following despite being relatively new. Throughout my day here I've had a cheese danish (good) egg casserole and copious amounts of coffee (cold brew and a mocha) One of the things I LOVE about this place is... they sell LIQUOR. Well mainly bourbon, but that's just as good! We both got the Kenwick and the Ashland. Most of the cocktails are more sweet than hardcore but the fact that this coffee shop also serves as a bar is pretty awesome. If I ever come back, which I plan to... I'm coming back! read more

It's happened now three times in a 2 month period. Took guests here from out of state and they commented on how rude staff was. I have no complaints about the food, beverages, or the service. I have frequented this cafe many times and enjoyed it. However, the low regard for employees is below standard. Threatening them with termination if they didn't show for work during severe weather where people were advised to stay home, is hitting below the belt. Cramer Campfire Latte + Mocha My favorite coffee shop in all of Lexington. The drinks are fantastic, but the seating is really what sets it off. You're in the heart of Lexington, but you would never know it. It's very community-based, however you can still find a more private area. Especially if you enjoy sitting outside. A little short on the food or snack choices. Building is very cute and clean, some of the seating well chosen. My togo soup sat on the counter for a little while because I didn't hear them call out that it was ready. Not even sure what they called out??? ONE friendly counter person brought it to me. First, KUDOS to whoever had the vision to take an old, run-down convenience store and renovate it into this beautiful coffee shop! I don't know the owner but he or she invested in the Kenwick community when no one would fix this building for at least the last 20 years. I came here on reccomendation from my friend, I will never come back. Absolutely terrible service!!!! Steer clear. Owner should know that his employees are incredibly disrespectful to the patrons, and do not care about providing good service whatsoever!!!! The brown haired girl and the brown skin man with glasses completely ignored me at the checkout to talk to one another. When they were done with their conversation and finally ready to help me, the man had a terrible attitude with me at the register. I asked a question about the menu and the man just glared at me!!!!! After all of that when i went to pickup my coffee it was sitting on the counter for a very long time, getting cold. They did not notify me at all that my coffee was ready!!!! I couldn't believe it!!! Visited on Saturday morning around 11. Nestled in the cute Kenwick neighborhood, Kenwick Table is a house has been converted for this equally cute coffee shop. There were some families outside and some college students working inside--lots of little places to work and chat. They had some baked goods from Epping's (and donuts from Spaulding's) but I ordered a chai with oat milk (they only have almond and oat) to go. Waited about 10 minutes. The chai was good, with a decent amount of spice. Would have preferred coconut milk, but it was good. Will definitely be back once they start selling wine. read more

First of all the drinks are terrible, the matcha is way too sweet. The lavender latte tastes nasty. The employees were very passive aggressive (man with the tan skin and female with the brown hair. One of the female employees came out to tell my mom that we grabbed the wrong drink, and told her the right one on the counter and walked away. There was no writing on the cup. Which is so rude, not even trying to give us the right drink. Btw watch out for the 2 passive agessive employees who rolled their eyes and visibly looked pissed. This is a cute spot; larger than anticipated based on the photos I had seen prior to visiting. Light and airy and clean. I got a cappuccino, which was made well and it seems that they have boozy coffees as well. I'm told that they have a nice back patio but they were working on renovations. Pastries are yum but give the savory selections a try too. Leaving a review mainly to add two requests. I'm not a coffee drinker - would love to see more tea options on the menu. Tea is hot right now (pun intended)! Also, service is generally friendly-ish hut a bit hit or miss. Stop charting when customers approach, make eye contact, and pay attention to orders/questions. I love the location and atmosphere of this place. Being close to downtown, but easily able to park and come into a clean and spacious environment is lovely. The coffee and pastries (from Martine's) are on the pricey side of what I'd consider to be typical, and it seems like a really comfortable place to get some computer work knocked out (which is why I'll probably return). However, both employees working were unfriendly to the point that it felt uncomfortable. Neither made eye contact or greeted us, when I asked questions, they would either barely nod or not respond at all, and it just made for very awkward interactions. Part of the appeal of a neighborhood setting is often feeling friendly and welcoming, and the employees were neither of those things. I did like it enough that I plan to come back in the future, and will hope for a friendlier experience. read more
