Pumpkin foam cold brew

Nice little drive thru . Friendly and great tasting drinks ! On a trip from Ohio so I like to support smaller local businesses and this was a great one!!

The coffee is great but the service is the best! We went twice and were so happy with both visits. And they offer a significant military discount. All this and a chocolate covered espresso bean on top!

Large Brewed Coffee - Hot & Fresh

I have driven by Common Grounds every day, twice a day on the way to school drop off but decided to finally stop and give it a try. It is drive through only as it's a small kiosk set up in the Hartland Kroger shopping center. I ordered a large brewed coffee with cream and sugar (nothing fancy!). The coffee was hot, fresh and the two employees working were very friendly and personable. The price was comparable with Starbucks, but I am happy to support a local Lexington business. Will not be my last time stopping!

This cute coffee spot in the Kroger Hartland Center is one of Lexington's greatest hidden jewels. The coffee made here is nothing but pure java heaven and the best part is that you can drive through on either side. It can get a bit busy at rush hour but you will never be denied fabulous customer service and did I mention fabulous java? The prices are extraordinarily cheap yet the quality is much better than any Starbucks. Rhoda, the manager always take her time to get to know you including memorizing our orders plus knowing little stuff in our lives. You can add shots, soy, whatever for a quarter or thereabouts which is a steal in this coffee hungry city. If you are looking for some authentic local coffee to go, this is the place and definitely a place that Lexington can be proud of! Whitney and Rhoda are my favorite baristas! May Java Be With You at the Daily Grind!

I ordered a cold brew with vanilla cold foam. It was one of the better cold brews I have had. Service was quick.

A really neat and simple operation. Just the pick me up I am looking for some days whether or not I am in the mood for a smoothie or coffee.

I used to come here all the time but now the girls who work the window aren't friendly at all. Don't waste your time

My girlfriend and I pulled into the drive-thru at Tropical Smoothie Cafe (Helmsdale Place)…read moreexpecting the kind of simple transaction that keeps civilization humming along: we say what we want, someone hears it, and a smoothie appears on the other side of the window. Instead, we began what could best be described as a communication workshop. We repeated our order once. Then again. Then the way you repeat things when you start wondering if the speaker is connected to the same reality you are. Eventually the reassuring phrase came through the intercom: *"Okay, got it."* In my experience, that sentence at a drive-thru often translates to: *"Brace yourself."* By the time we reached the window, the order had somehow **duplicated itself**, and we were being charged twice. After untangling that small mystery, we were handed a single smoothie that was *mostly* what we had asked for... mostly, the way a mispronounced word is mostly understandable if you hear it enough times. At first the drink tasted fine. Then a strange aftertaste arrived. Not from the fruit, but from the experience itself. It made me wonder if a simple pre-shift routine might help: a quick ear-cleaning, a few pages of Hooked on Phonics, maybe some vocal warm-ups so words like "strawberry banana" don't have to travel through the drive-thru like a rumor. Because the equipment worked beautifully. The blender blended. The cup held liquid. The straw functioned as designed. The only thing that didn't quite come together was the one ingredient the whole process depends on. **Listening.** We drove away with a smoothie, and a side of epic and fail..
