We were greeted by the friendly cashier that took our order right away as there was no line. I got the orange marmalade chicken sandwich and my friend got the cheeseburger and fries. They gave us a number sign and we picked our table and quickly our food was delivered to us by another friendly employee. The food came out hot and fresh and tasty! The fries are really good as well! I love this place and what they stand for. My brother in law is a recovering alcoholic and substance abuser. He's been clean and sober for over 20 years and is an RN . For people that think you can't succeed you can! And this place proves it over and over again. Much continued success to the staff and business !

We chose it for the convenient location and the resemblance to a NKY band by the same name. Don't let the counter-ordering process or cafeteria tray-paper plate service dissuade you. The food quality and quantity are on point and the prices are moderate. My husband rates the Southern Eggs Benedict among the best he's ever had. My Breakfast Plate scrambled eggs were soft and creamy and the large biscuit with honey butter was worth every carb and calorie. The coffee is excellent and we even splurged on their sweet-and-salty kitchen sink cookie. As if that isn't enough, DV8 Kitchen is a second chance employer for people in recovery and everyone we encountered was pleasant and hard-working. We wish them all success and we'll certainly be back.

We had reservations but ended up getting there early and just had our dinner at the bar. We both had cocktails which we enjoyed along with the deviled eggs for an appetizer. The eggs were okay--a bit spicier than I would have preferred and I would probably try a different app next time I go (there will be a next time for sure!) My shrimp and grits were great but honestly the bourbon glazed wings that my fiance had were the show stoppers. Large sized wings that were smoked perfectly with the right amount of crunch topped with a sweet but not too sweet bourbon glaze. I will definitely get those next time I go. The vibes were casual and chill--the perfect place to pre-game before a game or event or the perfect place to meet friends for a drink. I'd definitely recommend!

We were a group…read moreof four and started with cocktails, which honestly were the highlight of the whole visit. Good price, good quality. No complaints there. For food, we had a mix at the table: fish, steak, and burgers. The fish was off. The texture was strange, almost like the skin had been left on even though it wasn't, and it had a fishy taste that just wasn't right. The burger, on the other hand, was very good and easily the best value of everything we tried. If I ever go back, that's probably what I'd order. The biggest disappointment was the service. Our server clearly wasn't having a good day, didn't seem interested in us, and let our drinks sit empty long enough that we had to wave him down just to get refills. It really took away from the experience. I'd give the place another shot, but if the next visit ends up feeling like this one, it'll probably fall off my list of places to go.

The food is incredible -- fresh baked breads, giant cinnamon rolls, homemade biscuits, pastries, and locally made breakfast and lunch options that honestly taste homemade in the best way. Everything feels thoughtful, fresh, and made with care. But what really makes DV8 special is the mission behind it. DV8 supports people in recovery by providing second-chance employment, community, and vocational opportunities for individuals rebuilding their lives after addiction. You can truly feel the heart behind the place, and knowing your meal supports something bigger makes it even more meaningful. Lexington is lucky to have businesses like this -- local, welcoming, community-focused, and making a real difference while serving amazing food. Definitely one of the most inspiring spots in town. A little bonus they offer GF options!

I appreciate the minis because it does allow portion control for me. My friend got the sausage and egg biscuit. I'm not sure if they put some kind of jam on it but she said it was sweet. I also tasted it and the sausage was on the sweet side (I liked it but she didn't). Other then that she said the rest was good after she removed the sausage patty. So summer months you can expect one employee as they adjust man hours to meet the foot traffic of the store. Apparently its not as busy when the students are gone for summer break. The man at the counter was friendly and kept apologizing to us for the wait while he was assisting the other customer . I used to work in the food industry( former kitchen manager) so I get it but he didn't need to apologize. The store is always clean and well organized & if you don't see the donut you want its likely in the back. I gobbled my minis before I could take a picture my apologies. (They were that good)!
