First time eating this, didn't know how to eat it xD Overall it was pretty good, the beef one had flavor, my favorite, the chicken.. not so much, but it was still enjoyable, something unique to try, stuffed with lotta cheese, maybe it hit differently for me cause I decided to mix the chicken all up together but soon later I found out you was suppose just get lil bit of each with the bread lmao, give it a try though!

Absolutely amazing! This was my first time trying this cuisine, and I was completely blown away! The food was incredibly delicious, full of flavor, and honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten. I'm so glad I decided to try Skalka, and I can't wait to come back. The staff is super nice as well. Highly recommend!

Wow after having this spot bookmarked for a few years I'm happy to have finally tried it.....one of the comfiest foods that I've had in the city! I had the chicken boat. Hearty, tasty, not overly greasy/salty at all. The bread is amazingly pillow-soft, and the cheese.....phew suuuper smooth and silky! The chicken with the tomato sauce gives it a savory marinara/shakshouka vibe to it. These boats are made to order; I got my boat about 15 min after ordering. Order at front kiosk. The gentleman who handed the order was all smiles. Small cozy interior. I visited on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all.

Entrance is not accessible. There are 2 steps, so it was annoying to get in with a stroller. Once inside, there's just a self-serve kiosk. I had ordered and beeped my card only to find out 10-15mins later that my order didn't go through and I had to reorder. It wasn't necessarily anyone's fault, but if you order with a person this doesn't happen. Toilet is broken in restroom. But the FOOD! Was amazing. They serve only one type of dish, which is like a bread boat with cheese inside and or other filling. I got the one with spinach and cheese - it is enough for 2 ppl but I finished it on my own as a very hungry pregnant lady. We also got 2 more to go - one with beans and bacon (Lobiani) and the other with beef stroganoff. Both were delicious, although the beans & bacon one has a bit of spice. I would 100% recommend eating in person though, because everything is perfect and melty when it's fresh.

One of my favorite places in downtown Seattle to eat. Amazing view of the Seattle Great Wheel while you chat with loved ones and eat a delicious shared meal. Service is kind and restaurant is clean and bright. The food is so amazing and we always get extra pickles and extra yolk! My boyfriend and I really love this place and always find ourselves thinking about it and returning. Definitely recommend Skalka as it never disappoints!

I never tried khachapuri before and I'm really glad I did! This spot is a quick 10 min walk down from Pike's Place and it's quite spacious with several seats. They now do a self serve kiosk with 2 workers. Tbh it was a bit unclear if this was a self serve or they would come to you, but it was definitely more casual dining. - Adjatuli Boat (5/5): such an interesting combination of beans, pickled hot pepper (spoicy and sour!) and the cheese and gooey egg yolk. This was around $20 with tax and was definitely enough to eat between 2 people. Great spot- definitely worth a visit!

We stopped in for a late lunch after walking the Seattle boardwalk. We ordered 2 boats on their iPad and waited about 15 - 20 minutes for our food to be ready. We ordered one of their original boats and chicken one. They arrived piping hot and they were delicious! I have always wanted to try Georgian food and this hit the spot! I'd recommend the chicken one. We'll be back!

Simple flavors that pack a punch! I mean, how can you go wrong with bread, cheese, and egg? I got the beef stroganoff khachapuri which I enjoyed. The balance between the creaminess of the stroganoff and the pickles was good as well. The size is good to split between two people. The store is bright and clean with tables inside. You order by tablet and the khachapuri takes a bit of time to be prepared.

We swung by Skalka on a Christmas morning since this was one of the few places that were open. Overall, the ambience was very casual but clean. We didn't see anyone at the reception so we decided to order at the kiosk and seated ourselves. Later, someone came to greet us and informed that our order would take around 15 mins. We were a huge party so we were surprised that we got our order so early, especially on a Christmas morning. The food came in piping hot. We got khachapuris (both veg and meat versions). The bread of the khachapuri was so fresh and soft. The filling was stuffed and very delicious too. The veg version wasn't that flavorful but the meat versions were really tasty.

Sunny C.

This place was open on the holidays. Pretty good khachapuri, not the best one I've had but still very good. One order of this is quite a lot of food. Enough for two people. There wasn't a very large drink selection so we just started our morning with some hot tea. The staff there were very nice. A moderate amount of seating.

Ariadna S.

I've been to this place at least once every time I go to Seattle! I really like the beef stroganoff khachapuri, it's basically what I get every time. So we did this time plus some hot teas! Although it's a self service to order and pay,I noticed how friendly the staff was. The restaurant is pretty casual and quiet most of times I've been there.

First-time trying Georgian bread (~$18) and I loved it! You're supposed to mix the egg yolk and the cheese together first and then peel the bread to eat with the filling inside. Such a delicious and cool concept! Lobiani Boat - 4/5 I thought the banana pepprrs were too overwhelming and they didn't give enough bacon Stroganoff Boat - 5/5 delicious! The vibes in here are super cute and I love the aesthetic! There's lots of seating too. Cost is on the pricier side, but definitely worth it to try. I'd definitely come back

We came to Skalka to try their Adjaruli khachapuri, and it was really good -- fresh, tasty, and definitely worth trying. The cafe itself is modern, stylish, and very clean, even the restroom. They also use self-checkout, which makes ordering easy and convenient. The only thing I missed was fresh espresso-based coffee. They only had brewed coffee, which I don't really drink. It would be nice to have a real latte or cappuccino with their khachapuri.

Scooping up the ooey gooey beefy cheesiness on the bread, yum!

What do you replace the egg and cheese and butter with to make the veggie boat vegan? We don't care if it is gluten-free, that has absolutely nothing to do with it being vegan.

We don't have vegan options. Milk and eggs are in the dough. At this point, we don't make gluten-free or vegan dough.

What are the delivery details?

You can find us on UberEats, Grubhub and DoorDash!

Looks amazing. Safe for peanut allergy?

We do not have peanuts in our bakery.

Do you offer dine-in tables?

Yes, we do! No reservations, first-come, first-serve.

Do they require proof of vaccination?

Yes

Is it possible to eat here with a dairy allergy?

No, because we use dairy to make our dough.

Do they take weekend reservations?

They did not have reservations available when I went. It's a small restaurant and gets packed quickly, your best bet is to get there 10-15 mins before opening if you can.

What happened to the closed cheese pizzas? Not seeing them on the menu for takeout.

They updated their menu (received tecent email) to focus on the egg boats. Dumplings are available via pop ups. I think they halted the Imerulis you mentioned. You can call or email directly to be sure. (5/9/21)

Are there any vegan options? What is in the dough?

Dough has milk and eggs. We have vegan fillings, but we make all boats with same dough as of April 2021.

Looks delicious! Any gluten free options? Thanks!

Possibly soup or stuffed eggplant, but it's pretty bread-centric.

Is there any lunch specials?

Yes! We have beef soup + house bread ($8.5), Georgian salad + 2pc badrijani + house bread ($11), and 4pc beef khinkali ($9). Available on weekdays 12pm-2pm.

Just across from the church, a lengthy queue of folks stood outside a dining establishment. We didn't know what kind of restaurant it was until we noticed the Filipino Christmas lantern/"parol" hanging on the window. After a week of cruising, we made it our goal to eat at this restaurant. Since we docked early in the morning and the restaurant opens at 7am, we did not wait that long outside around 8am. There were only less than 10 people in line. We only waited less than 15 minutes. There were at least 20 people outside by the time we left before 9am. The interior Filipino household-themed decoration brought back so many memories. White Chicken Adobo Silog | Never heard of this type of "silog" before. Silog is a Filipino dish combination consists of fried rice ("SInangag") and egg ("itLOG"). I got so excited to try it since it's one of the weekly specials' menu items. I was debating between this and Salmon Silog, but I've also never tried white chicken adobo. The chicken was succulent and tender, allowing it to flake off effortlessly with a fork. The generous helping of garlic fried rice was heavenly. Couldn't ask anything more from this dish. Turon | The wrapper were coated with almost like spun sugar instead of being fried in sugar, which made this turon not overly sweet. The plantain that was completed well with halaya filling was soft and cooked well. Menu: In addition to various protein/silog meals, there were also pancakes and omelettes. Service: Eating at this restaurant feels like home. The cashier and service were nice and friendly. We were also attended by Tito Greg the owner of the restaurant. He roamed the dining area, greeting each guest with humor and genuine humility. Parking: There's a big garage by Pike's, unsure how much parking rate was at the time. Since we just came back from the cruise port, we just from there to the restaurant. Highly Recommend!

It was your typical average latte. I did like how strong it was and it came with a kitty paw! (Barista said he was inspired by his cats that morning lol). I tried both sweet and savory dutch babies, and even though I'm a savory person, I liked the sweet one better. It was creamy and bread was soft! The fruits added the perfect texture and sweetness to it. The savory was okay, keep in mind this is also my first time trying a dutch baby, but I would have liked it to have more veggies maybe? I think I was expecting more of it but it was mid to me. The breakfast plate wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Just your basic breakfast plate. The place is super cute and a bit small! I enjoyed the hot coffee with a bit of cream. It was good; my only comment is that I wasn't offered a refill at any point, and we were there for over an hour. To be fair, it was SUPER busy; like at least 100 people in the dining room. I had one of their seasonal specials, the peaches and cream Swedish pancakes. It was a generous portion included with a trip to the berry bar. The berry bar was very fresh and well maintained as far as cleanliness. It was also in a prime location, near the tables but not too close and not in the way of the walking path. The peaches were juicy and sweet and the cream cheese frosting was a decadent topping. I added some berries which made it extra special. I liked the caramel shards, but they were a little on the thick side for my liking and were a bit tough to eat. However, I really enjoyed the dish overall! I also got a side of peppered bacon which was well-cooked, crispy, and extra peppery. My friend got the classic French toast and a side of potatoes. She loved the French toast with the included berry bar trip! However, the potatoes were cut into HUGE pieces which were difficult to eat even though they were cooked through.
