Don't do it, guys. Just don't do it. For the price of food, you get food product. By which I mean, this is not delicious stuff. You can get better stuff at the grocery store frozen section. The steak isn't bad, but it's also not good. And the salad bar? Forget it. It's just nasty. We went here because we tried the Sizzler's in the District and it was pretty decent. Sizzler is supposed to be a steakhouse with a salad bar. They go about things a bit different from most sit down restaurants, they have you wait in line and then order and pay first before they seat you. Then the waitress takes the receipt and gets your drinks, cheese bread and eventually, your entree. While it is different, it works. The part that didn't work for me was the steak. I got the flat iron and it would have been a decent piece of meat had they not put so much salt on it. I couldn't even taste the meat, all I tasted was salt. My brother got the teriyaki steak and he said even with the sauce on it, it was salty. My wife got the all you can eat shrimp and they were a bit greasy even for fried shrimp. The baked potato was decent and I liked the fact that they put the butter on the side so you can put as much or as little as you want on the potato. The cheese bread that they give was a welcome change from the peanuts you get at alot of steakhouses. The service was pretty good, our waitress never let the drinks get too low and was fairly prompt with the check. All in all, Sizzler would not be on my top 10 list for a steak, or shrimp for that matter. read more

Today we were here for lunch, the restaurant was busy. Food was ok my husband ordered Steak & Malibu Chicken and I ordered Steak & all you can eat Shrimp; plus bar salad. Since the hostess sat us in our table, our server who I don't know his name, because he never greeted us, avoid eye contact and of course never came with bread or toast, we ask him to. Also, I asked for a straw and napkins. Well, I went to the hostess station to grab a straw, side of toast or rolls and napkins. When we have our main plates, I asked this guy for another side of Shrimps. HOW LONG WOULD TAKE TO FRIED SHRIMPS???????. I remind him my order .... nothing. After 45 minutes on this restaurant I never got a soda refill, I never got the side of Shrimps (that I paid for, remember all you can eat Shrimp), and really this kind of service is soooo bad. I remember coming here as a little boy. If I helped my great-grandma around the house she would reward me with a trip to Sizzler. I remember thinking that the salad bar went on for miles and that it was the best food ever. I remember the steak and Malibu chicken and mmmm the cheese toast. And I always got a soft serve cone at the end. Last night a group of 20 of us ended up at this location and it was the first time I've eaten at sizzler since I was a little boy. The salad bar was fresh and nicely stocked, the service was incredible! Absolutely incredible. The food, well, it was really bad. It wasn't under seasoned or over cooked, it was just bad. It tasted like every other restaurant that receives frozen food from Sysco and reheats it. The rolls were kinda stale (probably because they had baskets and baskets just sitting under a heat lamp at the front for who knows how long), the signature cheese toast (which you now have to request) was a super thin piece of toast and the Malibu chicken definitely tasted similar to something I have bought frozen from a local grocer. Coming here is always just ok. I came on a slow Sunday afternoon, food was actually fresh but service wasn't acceptable, especially with how slow it was. I ordered steak and all you can eat shrimp, our waitress dropped our food off and never came back. She didnt check on us or fill our waters. Once my steak, baked potato, and shrimp was gone (with waitress still not in sight) I had to get up to find her to ask her for more shrimp and water; I found her and what appeared to be a majority of the other staff huddled together laughing and dancing. Came in late afternoon for an early dinner. This is one of the only restaurants that are open Sunday evening and are keto compatible. Now let me also state that if I wanted a great steak you wouldn't find me within 3 miles of this place (because I live 4 miles away). I own a grill and a competition quality smoker so this is a ..impulse let's go to dinner and get steak. So with expectations set let's get going. Sizzler is extremely hit or miss. This particular time we were offered no bread as we sat down. Sometimes we get both rolls and cheese toast but this time neither. I ordered the sizzler signature with fries and my wife got the salad bar. She started off with the salad bar but they were out of soups, cheese, and brownies. (No she wasn't trying to combo the three) she was however able to get three plates of food before my steak showed up 35 minutes later. I always order my steak medium well here because I assume it will come off one degree of what I order. This time it actually showed up medium well. They did eventually replenish the soups and cheese. Tried the clam chowder and let me just say I have been to the Pacific Northwest and had some of the most delicious clam chowder I have ever tasted. This wasn't it. Anyway they food was about what I expected the service was somewhat disappointing this time. We went here with my dad who admittedly can be difficult to cook a steak for. The salad bar was okay. There were some things we liked and other things that one bite was all we could handle. The waitress was busy but keeping up at first. We were impressed. Then my dad got his well done steak and it was charcoal on the outside and bright pink inside. He talked to the manager and sent it back. The manager was pretty gracious about it with the first interaction. They tried to save it. When it came back, it was black. The manager never came to check that it was right. So the waitress was flagged down. My dad was telling her instructions for cooking it and she just took his plate off the table and threw her hands in the air. She clearly wasn't trained to take complaints and the manager should have been at our table. When she came back she told my dad that she didn't deserve to be put down and stomped on and she was dropping our table. He told her he was impressed by her but just wanted a steak he could enjoy. She turned to the remaining 3 at the table and told us we were great and she was sorry but she was giving the table to her manager. She walked off and the rest of the night someone only came to our table once because they were flagged down. The restaurant was slow at that point with plenty of staff. I was unimpressed by the management that they didn't make sure he was happy in the first place after getting food sent back. And by the fact that the manager told the waitress he'd take the table but didn't come back out the entire night. I gave it two stars because the waitress did do a great job busing the table until our steaks arrived. The food is what you pay for. Decent. Not amazing or awful. read more

I used to love Sizzler. We dined at the 90th South State. Still was pretty good. The assistant manager, Tiah was helpful while in line. The salad bar was clean. I hate it when they run out of chicken wings. :-/ The steak entrees were mediocre. ;-( Our server, Coty, was nice and did not let the drinks get empty (#1 criteria for my good tip). Terrible. The steak was one third fat and grizzle. Every bite had grizzle, so if you like chewing incessantly and the spitting grizzle into a napkin, you are fine. They have messed up every order I have had with them by omitting some item and since it was delivered through UberEats, it would be futile to try and get the item replaced with the food getting cold while I waited. This time we stopped at their Sandy location because we were near by. Last time here they did not have my favorite "mango with quinoa ". This time was the first time I got it. Great! It is not a five-star restaurant but it is very fairly priced with a great variety of good food and we absolutely love the value the convenience And the variety. Let me say I have not been to sizzler for many years. Not since they pulled out of Vegas. So I was looking forward to coming back! Very disappointed. First off it smelled funny when we stepped thru the door. Not like meat cooking on the grill. Our food was beautiful, presentable. But barely warm on the outside and cold inside. Fried shrimp was crispy on the outside and cold in the center. Broccoli cold. Meat not cooked to my specification, and cold, chewy and tough. The salad bar was OK as salad bars go... and the staff was friendly for the most part. For 2 people it was quite expensive for the quality of food served. Love the toast! We eat here all the time for many years. It is the better of the sizzlers in the area. The food quality is fairly consistent..... It's like a sizzler should be. The biggest problem here is the service staff is really hit and miss. I guess they have a high turn around among servers. They either have great servers or the worst in existence. They have servers that just disappear..... But reappear just when your walking out the door to make you feel guilty for not leaving a tip. If you get the salad bar you can even out the server issues a bit better, but if you get steak and all you can eat shrimp.... Your only going to get the shrimp on your plate and no more! read more

We stopped for a late lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. We ordered off the senior menu and found the price very affordable. The cashier told my husband his dish only came with one side. We have ordered the same dish before and it always had 2 sides. When asked again she insisted only one so he ordered the fried green beans as his side. Got to the table and the receipt said right on it 2 sides. The waitress quickly brought him a salad. His plate came out with French fries and not what he had ordered. This is our quick go to place with our little one. I love that he can eat from my salad bar (he's 1) and get a nutritious meal. We give him a plate of salad bar things like beans, eggs, fruit and peas. He loves it! So many restaurants in a similar price range just do kids meals that are loaded with fat and low on nutrition (Mac &cheese, fried chicken, French fries, etc). So I love the salad bar at sizzler for being a healthier option for toddlers. My husband likes the steaks. You can't expect it to taste like a $50 steak, but for $8 it's great and seasoned very well! I give this location only two stars for two visits. I recently visited on two separate occasions with my family, we travel from Wyoming to get to the airport so stopping for a bite happens every time we visit. The first visit on 5-18-2016 was pretty good considering the downfalls. I have always been a person that loves to give second chances. First issue was the new girl behind the counter had done something with the computer wrong so we were only charged for a salad bar trip and not the three steaks we had ordered, well as most would expect the waitress noticed it and had requested the manager to fix it. Totally OK with me, after all I do want my steak! So the manager fixed the order requested we pay the remainder due, also totally OK, this manager was amazing though!!! She went above and beyond actually giving us two more salad bars on our ticket for free as well as $10 taken off for the mix up. AWESOME! At this point I wasn't even bothered by the ticket mix up until I bit into a bread roll and found a hair.... BLEH! The waitress immediately noticed and took care of it right away and on over strolled the manager again with this time coupons for a next visit. EVEN BETTER! The professionalism given to us during our visit this first time was amazing, we felt very welcome and very well taken care of. I highly recommend Claudia G? I think was the managers name, she was very nice and very caring! On our second visit though, sadly it was not the same and quite frankly why I must give the two stars. We were sat, given our drinks and our meals and forgotten. Actually the only time the waitress came back was to clear the table, I even asked for a refill and to my dismay never received the refill. The lack of attentiveness is the downfall here. Now seeing the the manager from the first time wasn't on shift, actually had no clue who was on shift this time, I felt it was much needed for this review... Will I be back?
