What a cute place dedicated to fish and chips. I thought it was really fun to build your own basket! They had really unique sauces to put on the fries. I got the Japanese fries with miso and ketchup. It was interesting. I will say I feel like the price is a little high. For a 2 fish basket with fries and a drink, it was a little under $20. We went in right at 11am for lunch on a Friday. We both ordered fish and chips, and my husband got coleslaw. He said it was some of the best coleslaw he's ever had. Wasn't the biggest portion for the price but nonetheless, Super crunchy batter, cooked perfect, and the tartar sauce was on point -- creamy with just the right tang. I chose a traditional tartar sauce, as well as a mango curry. The fish came out crispy on the outside, but flaky and tender in the middle. You could tell that they use fresh oil to fry. The fries themselves were also tasty, but would've liked to have seen traditional chips. The service was outstanding. The gentleman who helped us order was very friendly, and he checked on us to see how everything was tasting, as well as came to collect our trays and trash. Fish and chips is a simple meal, and will always hold a special place in my heart. I stopped in to give this restaurant a try, and was happy to do so. Their fish was flakey and the breading was a fantastic ratio. The chips were solid, but I would consider getting the sauces on the side. They recently added Cole slaw to the menu, which was decent. I would have loved to see a few more non fried options but honestly they have a decent meal and a clean taste. I would recommend trying the miso garlic sauce, it was fantastic. The food was very average in my opinion. I was disappointed that the fries were not hand made considering how very small the menu is and that it is very expensive. The fish was fresh tasting and flakey with a lighter breading, but needed salt. The entire menu is fried and it is an extremely small menu. I think I was expecting more or something more unique? I'm very picky with my fish and chips, as I can't handle extreme greasiness and it seems as though fried fish in this country is almost always too greasy for me.
