I'm very picky with my fish and chips, as I can't handle extreme greasiness and it seems as though fried fish in this country is almost always too greasy for me. TY's fish was excellent, very high quality and substantial without being too greasy. Service was extremely friendly, from the woman who took and delivered my order to the chef himself checking in on me a few times. It was a Saturday night and quite busy, but server acknowledged us right away as they busily caught up on orders and politely thanked us for waiting. Fish felt quite under seasoned and overly greasy. The fries weren't anything notable and the sauces seemed like they weren't house made which didn't add anything to the dishes. We also ordered the crab balls made with imitation crab which were really crispy so we liked those. read more

The food is best served fresh and crispy in the store although ordering it for delivery it's still great just not as crispy. The service is quick and super friendly and the store itself is super clean. Not an ideal location for bigger groups (9+) to dine inside as it is a little the smaller side. Here is the deal. $$$ I would give this place a 3 dollar signs. Don't call it fish and chips because there are no and. Everything is à la carte . From a personnel perspective it doesn't have a traditional fish fry flavor. It is close to the fried shrimp you get from a Chinese restaurant. Also the fish kinda small. The prices very high for even eating off of the pier in California. In fact, I would say it's more expensive than eating at the ocean. At Brads in Pismo Beach this would cost less and you would get way more; like double. So will I go back... sorry, too pricey and not my flavors and portion are small. read more

Ok this place just opened up a couple weeks ago. I am so glad I found it. We were driving by and it just stood out. Quite little place. It's a Fish and Chips joint with a Japanese fusion style of cooking and flavors. It was extremely delicious. We got the 3 piece fish with Ty's Tartar sauce and Truffle Parmesan Garlic sauce on the fries. Then we also got a shrimp entree with the Wasabi Honey dipping sauce. The fish and shrimp were super delicious. The tempura on both was perfectly cooked and was nice and flakey. We finished off with their deep fried rolls with an amazing Macha thick dipping sauce. The fish pieces are tiny, the breading is thick, and it just tastes fishy, not like any particular fish. We were greeted warmly as we entered and were looking at the menu, and the service was very prompt and courteous. The fish is some of the best I've had. Very hot, and nicely crisp on the outside, thin outer breading, and very moist and flaky on the inside. Same with the fries. Excellent. The sauces were different than you usually find, and very good, and the selection is good for the fries too, with the sauce drizzled over them. The cole slaw was quite tasty as well. We were checked on by the manager to ensure everything was good too. I will definitely be adding this to my list of regular places to visit. It's hard to fine really good fish and chips. I couldn't believe how crispy everything was including the fries. The FRIES! Drizzled with the most delicious and balanced aioli I've ever had were crispier than a lot of fries I get dining in.
