It's been years since I visited a Sizzler. I took my son and daughter-in-law out to dinner here to thank them for always helping my wife and me when we need them. They ordered the shrimp, shrimp, shrimp dinner along with an add on salad bar and a sirloin steak dinner with the add on salad bar. Because there was so much to choose from on the salad bar, including chicken wings, nachos, soup, tacos, pasta, etc., I decided to stick with the Salad Bar. Everything was pretty good. Keep in mind this is not fine dining. It is Sizzler. The place was clean and situated just like I remember it from decades ago. Will I return? This place is incredibly amazing, the server and employees is phenomenal, friendly and very good customers service. So whoever hired Cesar?! Thank you! I came after church Sunday! Let me tell you I use to love love love sizzler and slowly it changed. The one in NATOMAS, I never went back to after going one time I felt like the price didn't match the food However, I was pleasantly surprised at how busy this place was and how great the service was. Although it was packed, it didn't feel packed. It still felt like there was a lot of room. It was easy to get my food. Sit down and enjoy it. That all you can eat is about $17 We also got a surf and turf kind of plate that was so good put it this way I was so full. I could not finish food. I was really bummed out that they did not have the baked potato in the salad bar because of that alone I was gonna drop this entire place a couple stars I explained to Cesar that I was asking where the baked potatoes were, and he explained about the fact that they did not have it for the salad bar I was able to order mine quickly and have it back and it was delicious I really wish I could have some broccoli on top of a baked potato. I don't know if anybody remembers the old Carl's Jr.. They used to have an old Ca-Sacramento and you could just like totally do your baked potato. It was amazing. So back to the food the shrimp was so good. The fish tasted well. I wasn't a big fan of the tartar sauce, but that's just me. My husband liked it. My salad was great. There's a lot of different kinds of salads you can choose from. The crab salad was really good not overly done They did have spaghetti for kids and chicken nuggets and stuff. I wish they had a little bit more variety to be honest with you. We were happy to find this Sizzler while visiting family - we saw it in passing & started to crave that cheesy, toasty bread. The lady taking our order at the register asked about extras I didn't even know about... mushrooms, onions, avocado, etc. I got the steak w/ mushrooms, all you can eat shrimp, & baked potato; the hubbs got a sirloin burger w/ fries extra crispy. The fries were perfect, the steak was good/ cooked properly, the shrimps were plump & abundant! We each had 2 pcs of that crack bread, we got a peach lemonade, & left room for a soft serve cone. It was MLK Monday & it was packed. The poor young lady waiting tables was all alone, serving the entire restaurant. We told her she was doing an awesome job, keep it up, & then left her a nice tip for hustling. Keep this hard working young lady, Sizzler! I've been to this Sizzler a few times. Usually I'm cool with their simple salad bar and hot food options, but this visit just didn't hit. Ambiance: 4/10 It's Sizzler... nothing fancy here. Standard booths, cafeteria vibes. You order and pay up front, grab a plate, and find a seat. It gets the job done, but don't expect atmosphere. Food: 5/10 The salad bar was okay, nothing impressive but edible. The pasta was decent enough, but everything else on the hot bar was dry and looked like it had been sitting out way too long. Prison Chow Hall Dining Experience.We used to love this place but it has changed for the worse. Plates: Issued in a controlled manner, resulting in customers using dirty plates again. Staff : Looks sad and depressed. They also appear scared when you ask for more clean plates. They could not give logical answers as to why they do not have stacks of clean plates for the customers to get as they please. Cups: Are regulated as well No Music like they used to have. No TV's on as well. They used to have sports on . Food was Good Attention Corporate Headquarters: You guys are stepping over dollars to pick up pennies. I haven't been to a buffet in a really long time. I did not know sizzler had such a wide variety for the salad bar. I also haven't been to a sizzlers in a decade. We had a group of 7 to celebrate a birthday. We chose to go at lunch time on a Saturday to make sure we could all sit together. There are ample booths and lucky for us, lots of tables and chairs for larger groups. Two people had salad bar only and we're very pleased. A salad bar had so many options, including soups, spaghetti, make your own tacos, etc. One ordered the shrimp shrimp one ordered a Malibu chicken, and three ordered steaks. Everything was delicious young waitress that served our food was very gracious, and accommodating to make sure our party had everything we needed. They offered a discount for the seniors in our group as well. Restaurant was clean, the bathrooms were clean and no one in our party had any complaints! Prices have gone up just like everywhere else, but for a steak dinner, it was reasonable. I so miss the Sizzler to that closed in my home town so many years ago. Glad I looked closer at this one. Came here on a Wednesday night with our 3 grandkids. The 2 stars are for the staff. They were all 5 stars for customer service. Friendly, stayed busy, helpful and our server even warmed our grandsons milk for him. Above and beyond sweetness and we made sure to tip her well. The food however was terrible. I did the full salad bar but was too nervous to eat much. The place is very clean but the food just isn't fresh at all. We ordered (2) steak, garlic mash potatoes, and unlimited shrimp, steak fries, and unlimited shrimp, kids cheese burger with fries, and grilled chicken club burger with fries. Steak was mediocre. The shrimp was not good. The cocktail sauce it came with has an overly vinegar taste. Garlic mash potatoes was GROSS. It taste like the ones you make out of the box but worst. It was very starchy and thick. The grilled chicken club was good. The cheese burger was better than eating the steak. But once we were finishing up we noticed a cockroach crawling by us. I was in the Sacramento area recently and decided to take a leap of faith and have lunch here. Surprisingly enough, I was not disappointed at all. Haven't went here in years. They offer entrees and the salad buffet you add separately. The salad bar includes, soup, ice cream, salad and some more. The service was good and the server was nice. Worth the price and having young kids it's louder there so we don't have to worry about being loud. read more

Senior prices jumped to $14.69 with drinks included. I used to enjoy the senior price with no soda drinks and discount. The salads are fresh but the meat balls for spaghetti was stale today 12/29/2025. We asked for the sweet rolls and was told it was stopped since COVID. It makes no sense at all. What is COVID anything to do with making sweet rollsthe fried chicken wings are dark and over fried. But the Menudo soup was the good addition to soup choices. Too bad I used to enjoy five varieties of soups at the Sizzlers in Cameron Park but it went out of business. Overall I rated the food a "C" for today 's experience. If I could give the Sizzlers on Madison Avenue a -10, I would in an instant. Not only is the salad bar extra between $6-8 with an entree, the ingredients are not fresh. We all agreed everything seemed fake, premade with artificial ingredients, whether it was the hot foods which included 2 tasteless soups, nasty chicken wings, taco like bar, something like imitation pudding and tasteless other desserts. Went in tonight around 5:15. I thought the food would be nice and fresh but not the case. The salad bar was sub par with not many choices and didn't include a baked potato or a drink. The hot food was barely warm and low quantities. Asked several times about more chicken wings and when they finally refilled they were old and had been sitting in the back a long time. We met some friends here for dinner. As we entered, there's a huge menu for us to check out. You can order a steak dinner, burger, fish, or chicken. You can also order the salad bar with your meal with an extra charge. I opted for just the salad bar. I enjoyed a nice variety salad. I also enjoyed a couple different soups. There was also tacos, chicken wings, fruit, and dessert as well. This was a nice place to share a meal and chat with friends. Salad bar was clean and food was brought out regularly. While the salad bar sometimes lacks variety, the burger and steak dinners are always good. You can now refill your own drinks, including iced tea, without waiting for a server. Came in to have dinner ordered lobster and new York steak medium rare and potatoes no chives butter and sour cream only as allergic to chives. Waited about 40-50 minutes and what came out was barely cooked streak completely raw in the middle and a potato loaded with chives they sent the order back took off the chives and cooked the steak another 5-10 seconds and the results of the steak was overcooked on the outside raw on the inside we asked for the management to redo the whole order waited another 45 minutes for it to come out with no results of the food finally went to the front for a refund which they refunded waited another 15 minutes in case the food might come out since waited this long for it finally asked a server and was told then that it was canceled by the management. I haven't been to Sizzler since before COVID. This was our first visit to this Sizzler because the Silzzler in Auburn and in Roseville both closed down. The pros: I thought both the lady who took our order at the cash register and our waitress were great. Both were very nice. The waitress came by several times to see if we needed anything. The prices have gone up quite a bit, but that's true all over. The order size was fine (I'll actually contradict that a bit under cons). I ordered the smaller size Tri-tip; my wife ordered the larger one. I did think mine was slightly tough, but I ordered it medium well done. My wife ordered hers medium and she said it was delicious. Next time, I'll order mine medium. The restaurant could use some redecorating, but if you're in the mood for early '70's decor, it's fine. Also, they included a drink with the meal. Now for the cons: They pretty much did away with their old senior menu. They used to give seniors a small, mixed salad with their senior meals. That's been taken away. You can still get a salad, but the charge for it now. That's the reason for four stars instead of five stars. I will go back and try it again some time. read more

Came here tonight (6/23) for dinner at about 6:30. The temperature inside the restaurant was 87 degrees per the thermostat. That is insane. To have food sitting out and have workers in pants, cooks, patrons etc in this establishment when you keep it at 87 is borderline inhumane. Whoever is this owner needs to figure it out. I ask the staff and they said it's on auto and another worker said it doesn't work when it's this hot out. Either way this franchisee owner needs to open up his pockets and get it fixed or turn the air down. So many people left because of this. Seriously this was a miserable dinner and to think I paid $80+ just to sweat my ass off eating salad. read more

Haven't been to Sizzler in over FIFTEEN years! Had to try it again. Unfortunately, the old adage is true: "Nothing ever stays the same". I ordered my previous favorite: Malibu Chicken. Unfortunately they have changed this dish considerably. The chicken breast was thin and not flavorful as it used to be. It had the world's THINNEST slice of Swiss cheese on top, nowhere near the thick slice it used to have. The mustard sauce tasted the same - good! However, I was VERY disappointed in their cheese toast. They no longer use the delectable thick slices of Texas Toast (as they did in the past), and now they only put the cheese and seasoning on ONE side of the toast. So SAD with all the food changes. Pasta drowning in some butter water liquid. Some sort of black asphalt like layer on top of the ground beef. Meatballs were balls but barely meat. The clientele was not top tier society. He ordered unlimited salad (clam chowder was just out of this world), I had the duo- unlimited shrimps & steak & garlic mash , and minime had NY steak with pilaf. Salad was delicious.
