Steak and lobster
Chris T.

Another visit to Red Lobster today, and ordered their Wednesday special Steak and Lobster meal for $29.99, and comes with one side. I chose the rice pilaf. I also ordered a child's grilled shrimp meal, of which comes with rice, and a side, and I chose double rice because the sides are pretty small, and I had vegetables at home. The server who took my order was very nice and efficient, making sure that I had lemon and butter for my seafood, and their famous cheesy biscuits. The sirloin steak was a decent size, and I opted for that instead of upgrading to a filet for an additional $7. The main lobster tail (slipper size) was good, and cooked just right. This location is tucked away behind a mall, and has plenty of parking, but is quite a distance since they closed the one on Howe Ave.

We decided to give Red Lobster another try, and we are so happy that we did. We were seated right away, and Dylan brought us waters and took our order promptly. We ordered the pound of crab, which was cooked perfectly, and the butter sauce on the side was amazing--I can't even express how good it was. The biscuits were just as delicious as I remembered. My sister wasn't a fan of the mashed potatoes, but that's OK because the crab was definitely the star of the show. Dylan was very attentive and made our visit very enjoyable.

House Salad, shrimp scampi, creamy shrimp Alfredo linguine, plus rolls yummy rolls

The Food was amazing and our waiter was the sweetest woman she was always asking us if we needed anything. The restaurant was very clean fast service

Loved our Red Lobster experience last night. Dylan, our server was amazing. He took care of us really well considering he had a lot of tables he was assisting. For starters, we had their signature bread, calamari and complimentary something mushroom that they accidentally brought to our table. I had the grilled lobster, shrimp and salmon with a side of baked potato and broccoli which I enjoyed. My husband ordered the create your own ultimate feast with maine lobster tail, sirloin, Walt's favorite shrimp (which I did not prefer) and shrimp linguini Alfredo. He liked his meal too. We had a good time and will definitely be back.

3.5 stars for the once, great legend. The LeBron of the dining chain restaurants. Not washed up but still not performing as they once were, respectfully. Figured I'd try the crab boil as it's been touted as the thing that will bring glory back to Red Lobster. That was greatly exaggerated. 7/10 for the crab boil. Potatoes were a bit hard, corn wasn't savory. Shrimp were plentiful but the sauces and seasonings came up short in clutch time. Crab was good and full of meat once cracked open. There's better crab boils in the area. I've had them and consider myself a fan. Not a fan of the crab boils here though. This is not to overlook the cheddar biscuits being better than a game 7 tied with a minute left. Clam chowder was lacking a bit in flavor but this is less than a month after my visit to Scott's seafood in which is amazing in my opinion. Highlights were the coconut shrimp and stuffed mushroom. I'll be back to enjoy those again as I am not a Red Lobster hater. Just being real with myself and you. Servers here were nice and very attentive the entire visit. Restaurant had a big crowd, love to see that. Thanks to the new CEO for doing his best to keep Red Lobster alive and moving forward into the future, good luck. (He's a big fan of my reviews)

Seafood Boil

I've visited this red lobster location countless times over the years, but it's been some time since my last visit. However, a new CEO coming in and revamping the company and menu motivated me to check out how the changes had impacted this chain. I'm happy to report that the changes implemented have been a positive. The menu largely remains the same with the exception of the seafood boils. However, the seafood boils were delicious. Taking a page out of boiling crab red lobster is offering a few different flavors and the server let me know the flavors can be combined so I'll be returning to taste test that combination. My only suggestion would be to have less potatoes and maybe a few different types of seafood in the boil rather than just shrimp, crab, and lobster. Understandably this limitation might be a result of costs to the chain, but throwing in a scallop or having a make your own with the Bairdi crab could take this menu item to the next level. Still, I'm happy with the changes and I won't let as much time pass between this last visit and my next one.

It's been a LONG time since I've been to Red Lobster. Was recently in the area and swung by for dinner. They got my date and I seated pretty fast, brought us some tasty cheddar biscuits and made some recommendations when we asked. Our server Vahid was attentive to refills on drinks & biscuits, checked in on us numerous times and was so polite & courteous. His hospitality really impressed us, along with the food which was hot & tasty! We got the admirals feast which included crab legs, lobster tail, coconut shrimp, shrimp scampi, hush puppies, bacon Mac & cheese and two soups (lobster bisque and cl chowder). We enjoyed our meal and left stuffed. Will for sure be back!

Food is always pretty good , restaurant is nice and clean . Bar is nice and the host was friendly and inviting . Unfortunately the service was horrible , we sat for 15 minutes before even getting water . Then she forgot out salad and brought the salads out with our main course!

First we would like to give a very special thank you to Vanessa Griffin-Thomas Executive Pastor and husband Marcel Thomas for the blessing of a Sunday dinner. The 4 Best Friends Only - Tavia, Latasha, and Tresla; missing Jennifer. Decided to dine in at the Sunrise Red Lobster in Sacramento. Number one we have not been to Red Lobster in over three years; since the closing of the Howe Ave location. Today March 16, 2025 we decided to take a chance. The food was fresh out the oven, hot to serve. The cheese bread was warm with each bite. The specialty drinks topped everything off. Delicious! The service was top tier! We were personally served by one of the store managers Abdi Akhavan and server Kasandra! They were both an incredible tag team. Every need and request was answered with ease and a great spirit!!! Smiles and laughter was what we experienced on this Sunday dinner. In this client dining out is very expensive. So, we all want to receive great customer service, and that my friends we absolutely did!!! FIVE STAR Service! We will be back

I've come here twice now and the service has been absolutely amazing! The food has been fresh and the servers and staff are nice and always ask if we need anything and check on us. Definitely recommend this location. Clean restaurant.

The absolute arrestable amount of parm on my wife's Caesar salad.

This place is kind of a meme. Our whole experience was nuts from start to finish. The staff seemed frantic and confused the entire time, like they were caught in a storm no one prepared for. My wife ordered a salad, I ordered fried shrimp--it took an hour to arrive. Her salad was buried under a shocking amount of parmesan, basically a one-to-one ratio of cheese to lettuce. My shrimp showed up just barely approaching warm--like they had brushed against heat for a moment but never fully committed. Honestly, I don't think I'd come back even if someone handed me a gift card. That thing would go straight into the junk drawer. At the beginning of the meal I downloaded their lotalty app. Needless to say I've since purged that junk off my phone. Oh and it looks like their credit card machine went down. Fabulous

Don't know what happened, but 3/4 of this was in my mouth before I could take a picture

Met a friend for a quick dinner late at night. Even though it was a Saturday, a lot of the restaurants in the area tend to close at 9... which would have rushed us more than we wanted. Thankfully, Red Lobster is open later. Dinner was good - my friend wanted the variety of ultimate feast, but she knew she wouldn't be able to eat it all... so our strategy was for me to order something small and then I'd help her with her Ultimate Feast. We both had caesar salads... we were asked if we wanted bacon? I've never heard of bacon on a caesar, but it's hard to argue against bacon in anything. ‍ Everything was pretty much as expected with Red Lobster... I've always found them to be consistent and predictable, which is a good thing for a chain like this. The drinks definitely packed a punch! Good experience overall - thanks for staying open late!

The service manager Christian was a real piece of work. He was extremely rude when I asked to get my burnt but somehow RAW steak sent back. I cut into my steak right when I got it and noticed the inside was completely raw and cold to the touch while the outside was pretty much charred. The waitress said she would take it back ASAP and was very nice and understanding about the situation. Not sure why, but the service manager named CHRISTIAN was called over. He asked what was wrong with it. I promptly showed him my disgusting, basically still mooing, couple of stitches and it's good to go back out to the field, steak that was supposed to be medium rare. He got extremely upset very quickly and said that according to their "standards", that was in fact medium rare. It absolutely was not. This steak had a a charred outside, cold inside, with a gray ring around the edges about 2mm from the exterior. Mind you, i've ordered a medium rare ribeye from TXRH every time i've been there and it has never looked like this. Medium rare steaks should be a darkish pink and slightly warm edge to edge. I explained to him that this was not in fact a medium rare steak and that it was obviously rushed work and that I would not be eating it. He continued to try and mansplain medium rare steaks to me and i was like yo can you just send it back please, keeping my composure while he was getting increasingly frustrated and was not taking me seriously. I explained to him why each part of the steak looked the way it did and how something can come off the grill burnt on the outside while still raw on the inside, the heat was obviously too high which is what caused the gross gray ring around the nearly purple insides. I explained to him that if they didn't have time to cook a steak properly, I would just order something else off the menu. He kept rolling his eyes and arguing with me over the rawness of my "steak" until he eventually gave in and just took it back. The waitress was extremely nice and made sure I liked the new steak and apologized for the previous steak. CHRISTIAN, the service manager did not come over to my table again or apologize, but he did give me nasty looks from all across the restaurant for the rest of the time I was there.

I do have one suggestion. I completely understand and appreciate the elevated vibe they're going for--it's part of what makes the place special. That said, I think there may be a bit of a missed opportunity with the bocce ball courts. There are large signs saying kids can't play on them and must stay with adults, but honestly, I come here at least once a quarter and they're often not being used. Given the location and the number of families in the area, it could be interesting to consider adding a small playground in the back. I know that might sound unconventional for a place like this, but I've seen restaurants do this successfully in Europe. What's really missing around here is a place where parents can enjoy an incredible meal and drinks while their kids have a safe place to play nearby. Right now, the only places that come close are breweries. There are almost always families here when I visit, so just a thought! Either way, Shangri-La remains one of my favorite spots.
