Sizzle Pot was very good. There's a nice little (seriously little) bar up front. The servers were really friendly and attentive. The hot pot I have had before was just a communal broth that everyone threw stuff into as it boiled away. This is a communal BBQ and individual soups, it seemed pricey when I heard the cost but it's all you can eat and it's delicious. Friendly server lets you know what's up and how to make it all work. I don't think any of us feel like we didn't get our $45 bucks a piece in terrific broth, excellent proteins, great veg, shrooms, and spices. There's at least one vegetarian broth on the menu, maybe two (I'm an omnivore, sorry for being vague), seven or eight different broths to choose between. My friends went for the pork bone broth, I had the spicy beef broth (not extra spicy). I might have gotten away with the really spicy broth, the normal got my sweat on, but caused no pain or numbness even. The only thing I had that didn't please me greatly was the little red sausages. All of the various fresh and marinated beef, pork, seafood, chicken, quail eggs, tofu, mushrooms and vegetables I tried were great the beef and pork especially, and we ate a lot. The lobster balls and quails eggs were delightful. It's not particularly cheap but it's well worth it so long as show up hungry and do some proper damage to the all you can eat. Just don't be a dick and leave any uncooked, or too much uneaten food behind. It's the least you can do. It's the only meal I ended up needing today. Yummy!!! read more

We came on a Saturday around 4pm & luckily the wait wasn't long. We maybe waited about 15 min to be seated. Customer service was friendly, our server Chris was helpful when we had questions and was attentive! You mostly order the meats on the iPad & veggies, sauce bar etc. are self service. I feel like they offered a good range of veggies and apps. It was $45 per person on the weekend for hotpot + bbq and we felt that we got our moneys worth! We left feeling satisfied! The only odd thing is when you're ordering items on the iPad, you're only allowed to order 6 items at a time & have to wait 5 min to place another order. It was fine for us since there were two of us but if you had a bigger group it might be a bit of a wait in between items. We personally didn't have an issue because the amount of items ordered at a time was good for the two of us! We would come back again, since it is close to home. I want this place to get better so here's some suggestions because I want to come back. 1.) The broth: it needs work. It's kinda bland. I got the pork broth and it's bland. Could barely taste the flavor. I also tried the beef oil one, it's good but just need a little more flavor. 2.) the bar: when I was there, it was empty. Need work on refilling it. There was a line when we got there at 4 on a Sunday... but, we didn't have to wait long to get seated. Hotpot comes with grilling, so you can order meats to be grilled. They have a good variety of soup (for hotpot), meat, sauces, vegetables and seafood. You also get your individual pot, which is good if you have allergy. Staff were nice and attentive. Wow! As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed and seated. The servers explained everything to us and answered every question we had for them! The sauce selection is huge and has recipes to try listed on the wall. They also had lots of self serve extras along with plates to fill up for the hot pot! Great food and service. I didnt know what to expect and I was impressed with my first dinner here. I mainly came for hot pot and was not a fan of doing the bbq. The self serve bar is great since you can pick all the different veggies you want, as well as other items like appetizers and dessert. Each person gets their own personal hot pot. I shared with my friends next to me and liked mixing my tomato broth with the spicy beef broth. If you get low on soup you can ask for more. They also have a large sauce bar. Our group got a beer tower and it was ice cold and refreshing. A couple of items for improvement would be the vegetable preparation. Several veggies had wilted/old ones in the mix and were not washed well (like dirt on cabbage). Another is having better ventilation somehow - I know it is hard when it's summer and you're eating hotpot, but it gets a little too hot. Dress lightly if you're coming on a hot day! The broth was actually really good, but the choices for meat were very limited. Veggies and seafood were decent, but I was really put off by the cross contamination. It's not just because people share the same tongs, but the restaurant uses the same ones for everything raw food, seafood, veggies, and other items all mixed together. That made it feel pretty unhygienic. The BBQ section was also a letdown. The meat was plain and chewy, and the grill not even good enough to cook the meat properly. The servers were nice and attentive, but the wait time for food was way too long for an all you can eat place.
